Yes. Many historical dramas starts good but gets too heavy in between. This drama managed to keep its essence until the end without getting too heavy and boring. Ps, the cute princes were the best part of the show, they kept the fun in the drama going.

Just finished this beautiful drama. Tbh I didn't expect that I would love this drama sm. After red sleeve, it was the first period drama that I loved and enjoyed, even the palace politics. The way the queen dealt with the wicked queen dowager and her enemies was thrilling and her relationship with the princes was so precious and beautiful. The best part was that the king wasn't a jerk like other period dramas. He loved the Queen and his sons. He knew that his mother was in wrong and eventually punished her. He made the right decision rather than hiding the truth. It was hard but worth it.
Loved the CP Seongbom and the Crown Princess. However, I am sad that they didn't revealed in the end, was it girl or boy? I was curious whose wishes came true. Haha. Other than that, the drama was beautifully enclosed. Prince Gyesong left the palace to discover himself. It's not easy to reveal your true identity even in this century, it must be even harder to come out in those times and how suffocating and painful it must be. This drama portrayed that dilemma very well and beautifully. Ps. I want to see the Crown Princess and Crown Prince couple in more romance drama, they will suit sm to the high school or college romance concept.

Development after the leap. The characters got serious and dark in the start and things started to become neutral after wards. Every character had an obvious development if you want to acknowledge it. .

I think it was your opinion that it has high ratings for no reason. To many people and me as well, this season was a bop and definitely deserves 10 episodes or more. Because it's not only about to reveal the truth only but to make us feel connected to the characters as well. After the leap, the fans needed time to adjust to the sudden change. For me, the plot was moving in a perfect pace because I wanted to see the bonding with other characters as well. I think it all comes to one's understanding of the drama and how they feel about it. Some might like this drama as it is, some would want it to be more fast paced. About the rankings, I am sure there will be more people liking it than not liking it. That's why the ratings are high and well deserved in my opinion.

Her life is stressful indeed. Lol. After the truth game, I am leaning towards SJ for being mc. Her connection with any of the men doesn't seems geniune at all. Let's see how it will goes.

I am loving the relationship of the princes with Queen. Not only the grand princes but other consort princes as well.

It hasn't been proved yet. Sooji could be the mc too. She might be playing like Haneul in the last season where two men were behind her and she was the stressed fl in the middle. Turns out that she was the mc.

I truly feel bad for Prince bogeum. He is the smartest and didn't even cheat unlike Prince uiseong. Queen dowager is such a witch. I really wish to see Prince Bogeom and Seongbom pair more in the future. I am at episode 11 btw, cannot wait for the future episodes.

I would suggest Lighter and Princess. It's a Chinese drama which ended recently and quite popular. The story is not historical nor similar in any way but the feels are the same. The chemistry of the leads is so lit and unforgettable. 😍🔥I am watching Under the Queen's umbrella after watching it and both dramas are really amazing. They have great cinematography, good plotline, amazing casts, the chemistry between the leads. Other than Go Ahead, Never seen such a perfect Chinese drama though

Exactly. They have made such an interesting drama. This year was such a great year for kdramas. In terms of quality of dramas, I would that along with 2016, we can call this the best year for dramas. Though most of them were sad endings but stories were unforgettable.

Seeing so many criticisms, looks like very few people are enjoying the story as it is. 🫠🥺 For me this drama is so precious and perfect that I cannot dare to make any changes. I am loving every second of it, since the moment it started to end. IDC about the ending at this point, as long as our two babies can get their closure, it's perfect for me. I have learnt that not only happy endings are perfect endings.

I don't think it will be a crappy ending. Might not be a happy one, though I want happy ending. But I think I will be contended either way. It was the drama that made me laugh alot and cry buckets while watching it. I will never forget this drama. 😭😭
