No matter what I can't seem to push myself to watch this. I watched 3 Eps last year around same time i.e. May-June and then I watched E4 earlier this year but idk why this ain't for me.
I love Shin Hye-sun, Kim Hyun-jung and Seol In-ah and despite all the hype and rave reviews about it, I failed to play that E5 πŸ˜¬πŸ™ƒ

She has done all the great dramas except Abyss. So now if she's in the cast then it guarantee that the drama is good IMO.

Wow just wow! This was in PTW List for a long time now but idk why I didn't watch it. Glad that I did now otherwise I would've missed a Gem of a Drama!
The Writer Jung Bo-hoon did a phenomenal job here too after 'Prison Playbook'.
I started this without any expectations tbh cuz I was looking for light yet good drama and cuz of Choi Hyun-wook, Kim Sang-kyung and Oh Nara also cuz I recently dropped "Love, All Play" (another badminton drama) which bored me to the core but here I binge-watched it in just over 48 hours.
This show had that Reply 1988, Hometown CCC vibes with each character given enough screentime and focus with a backstory too. From the Players, their Parents, the Coaches, Village People, Opponent Teams, and even the cameos none were shown in same light even when you think oh this is a bad guy they're shown that why that person did that and circumstances.
Loved every aspect featured like family, friendship, teamwork, sportsmanship, Love, trust and warmth bewteen human relations which is why I love Coming-of-Age, Slice-of-life Dramas.

I tbh loved every character in this one which is rare. And loved how writer tied every thread together flawlessly like romance wasn't forced or anything the Parents had their own chemistry while the Young Cast too had their innocent love which made me realise that it doesn't have to be skinship or kisses for a drama to be considered romantic rather it can have just that chemistry where you love, understand, trust and believe each other unconditionally.
Best part is that there's no Love Triangle or villain type of character or anyone trying to ruin other's life or something.

Overall from Acting to the story to the OST everything was great.
I hope they do give us a sequel cuz this really deserves that (Fingers Crossed).

Huh. I seem to be vibing more with the underrated airing kdramas than with the popular ones. For example I liked…
I feel sad that CJ ENM has put OCN on backburner and has tried to mainstream it's shows cuz OCN was always good at those Crime/Horror/Thriller/Suspense Dramas which set them apart in Dramaland but gradually CJ changed it and now they air shows made for OCN on tvN which then has to make it suitable for early timeslot with viewer ratings of '15' when OCN had shows with rating of 19 too which is like R-rated of Korean TV. And yes I agree that other 2 Public Channels should learn from tvN about marketing cuz MBC and KBS suck at it. KBS just promotes their 50 Ep Weekend Family Dramas while MBC doesn't do that too.

Title From Now On, Showtime! Spoiler
I like that evil spirit to be Fl’s past life brother. That will be a good plot twist.
Whether he's her brother or not is something to look forward but I know that he definitely was in love with her but she loved PHJ's character. Then ofcourse the other guy wanted to break PHJ and JKJ apart from each other and ended up killing JKJ while trying to kill PHJ that's how he must've became an evil spirit cuz he still yearns for power, revenge and JKJ. I also think that PHJ's character wasn't a prince or royal rather he must be someone who had mystical powers perhaps he was a shaman in the past too while JKJ was a princess with some connection to the heavens cuz she has that mark around her collar bone which looks like the Big Dipper hence they must've faced disapproval from everyone.
The General must've died in that process maybe he tried to fulfill the commands of the King who was blinded by Evil Guy's Lies or something like how in Goblin, Gong Yoo became Goblin, a mythical living spirit instead of getting Nirvana. Cuz while talking to that Grandma Shaman, the General said that it's his past sins that's why the Heaven is doing all of this when he remembered that PHJ and JKJ's characters were lovers 2000 years ago too and that's why fate brought them closer again. I also have a hunch that he ended up killing PHJ's character or at least had to do with his death after JKJ died. Maybe PHJ's character cursed him?

For now, we know that the FL is a princess..no any sign that the general is herborther..but lets wait
Yeah even in Goryeo. It got less mainstream only in Joseon but siblings still married each other.

Lol I can't believe they're still churning out these same ott clichΓ©d plots even in 2022. Like how many times…
Haha lol I can't find one too. When it's not a Ceo then usually it's a Doctor or Scientist or something like that a "genius" in short. While the FL would always be inferior in some sense or other no matter how bright or dumb she's.

Sorry but I dropped it after E1. I started this cuz am out of dramas and ofcourse cuz of Lee Yoo-ri but the drama is too much for me. Too melodramatic and the miserable FL and her tragic life is not something that I'm up to watch right now.

Haha, No worries! Everyone's busy these days lol.

Yes! Both MLN and AML are great and are getting a lot of love from people. You'd like AML if you like LJG or Crime/Revenge dramas revolving around Politics with good amount of rumour and action. Although the show kinda started feeling a lil repetitive, IMO but it's still good with twists and turns.

While MLN is a Slice-of-life slow burn drama again with good amount of rumour and witty dialogues by Lee Min-kee. The show has relaxing vibes to it and the actors have done a great job. You have Kim Ji-won, Son Seok-koo, LMK and Lee El who are all great in their respective multi-layered characters. Support cast is good too.
Also the show is written by Park Hae-young Writter who also wrote 'My Mister' so you can trust the writer. But MLN isn't as dark or emotionally heavy as MM.

Hmm... most of the dramas on-air right now are weekend dramas so yes there's a tough competition but FNOS airs at 8:40pm KST while Our Blues at 9:10 and MLN at 10:40pm on Sat-Sun where FNOS airs the earliest but I don't see why FNOS didn't get the high ratings. Maybe cuz like I said along with a few others that it's due to MBC which failed to promote the show when it airs on a new and different time slot or maybe cuz the Variety Shows air around same time. IDK tbh...

Haha lol how did you miss him πŸ˜‚ He played the SML there. I watched 2 of his dramas back then simultaneously, MLFAS and DS where he was the SML in both and while I dropped DS I still liked him.

I agree with you that Jang Ki-yong stole the show in CAHM with his great acting. I still think that CAHM is his best work to date.
