Just completed it and idk why it got so much hate back then. I actually started watching in 2021 but dropped it at E3 cuz a lot of bad reviews pouring and it was still airing. Now years after I gave it another try cuz I love Pakr Bo-young and Seo In-guk and it was a good watch though they could've executed it much better and worked on the script. Besides I felt it was unnecessary for them to make 16 episode which is why they had the whole 2nd FL-2nd ML/3rd ML arch which I skipped entirely cuz I didn't find myself intrigued enough. I just watch it cuz of the leads and their chemistry.
Finally completed this and honestly I don't get why this drama received such bashing and hate. Yes it's not the Best honestly but it ain't crap or bad as those spamming here or everywhere on social media. I just stumbled upon this yesterday after coming from office, saw Kim Seon-ho as ML and started then continued from EP4 today despite reading all the comments and low ratings here but I just wanted to try and test my patience, and honestly yes the ending was definitely underwhelming and could've been much better especially when the show started well starting falling in the mid eps and by ending fell short of what general audience who consume K-content expected or are used to but for me I didn't have huge expectations. Why? Cuz as someone who have been watching Kdramas for past 10 years I've been to many slumps and since a few years barely watched 10 shows cuz lately they've not been what old Kdramas used be and I actually found out late that this has been written by Hong sisters who actually IMO are overrated and always start well but somehow lose track be it Hotel del Luna, Master's Sun, Korean Odyssey or the infamous flop Big. Anyway this show was a nice watch over-all and I liked the fact that they tried something new at least which may not have been an intelligent attempt with a good outcome but it wasn't as bad as some people claimed. The fact that there's no VILLAIN or 2FL (Shin PD) or Hiro-san trying to sabotage the main couple or the fact that ML was so understanding of the FL's situation, her past, her tantrums, her erratic decisions or behaviour was a good thing which I haven't seen in a lot of Kdramas (FYI I have more than 400+ dramas in my watchlist with a 70-80% drop rate).
Could it have been much better? Definitely. But the level of unwarranted hate, especially so soon after release, feels excessive. If it’s not your taste, that’s fine—but no one’s being forced to watch it.
I'd rate this a good 7.5 or well 8 for the chemistry and for Kim Seon-ho, Go Youn Jung and Sota Fukushi
Why people complaining about Netflix dropping every episodes all at once? It's nothing new, and you're not forced…
Cannot agree more with you. I love Kim Seon-ho and started watching as soon as I came from office on a Friday Eve and here just refreshed this tab and ratings dropped to 7.7 like WTH? Like shouldn't pace it on our own capacity I mean how's it possible to binge-watch all 12 episodes in just 6-7 hours?
Same I started just few hours ago after seeing 8.4 ratings and just wrapped up E3 and thought of completing rest tomorrow but man my this page got refreshed and ratings dropped to 7.7
I thought there were more episodes of this 😭 I still remember watching Reply 1988 as one of the first Kdramas in 2016 and after that I've watched it again numerous times. I hope they make another special soon!
Korea and Korean society definitely needs to address mental health, bullying and privacy of people. Just one mistake and Koreans will treat you as a terr0rist or some evil criminal, they will start traumatizing you and end up pushing you to such a point where you end up taking your own life. So many instances in recent times where one small mistake has made so many actors/singers take their own lives.
Dropped it on E2. It's slow as a slug. This isn't even a slow burn romance instead the whole drama is slow. I am unable to find anything that'll keep me hooked.
