I hope this drama will stand it's hype. Uncontrollably Fond was Uncontrollably Unwatchable for me at least because of the makjang vibes it had and the ending I dropped it despite trying to restart several times.
This is one of those dramas which got me hooked on a Kdrama spree years ago. I remember I started watching E1 at 11pm or so and watched till 5 in the morning cuz I couldn't get enough. I love LJS and the Ost was top notch wish if the story was better. It does have a lot of flaws and potential lost in between especially regarding the whole dream thing which could've explored in a better way. Still I love this drama. The only drama of Suzy that I have completed till date along with Dream High (that I completed cuz of Kim Soo Hyun).
It is overrated! But I can’t stop watching cus I like KSH and KJS so much. I’m done with the whole plot. I’m…
TBH I just continued watching cuz of Hyun-woo's Parents and town people. Otherwise the main couple doesn't offer that much let alone of the omnipotent villains. Yeah no doubt acting is top notch but writing is just s**t.
I find it interesting, for a drama obviously not to your liking, you took time and passionately wrote about how…
haha I go and comment more than just one comment when I like the show. Last show that I seriously enjoyed was Business Proposal after that unfortunately I am unable to get out my slump. Did complete 2-3 shows since then in past year or so by just fast forwarding.
I am also not saying that it's CLoY neither I was expecting it to be identical to CLoY but CLoY was far better with leads who had better understanding and show was smoother and entertaining. This here is almost a makjang.
Is it just me or anyone else also feels that this show is overrated af... This show definitely doesn't have that CLoY vibes which I was expecting (considering writters's past works). Now I know that there are those who'd say that "this is a mature adult romance with a married couple" but I am not saying that I was expecting a rom-com. I was just expecting a more mature couple who'd understand each other more maybe rekindling their lost love while they try to face all obstacles. I think this is a regular melodramatic family soap opera (makjang) which generally airs on KBS1 and caters to ahjumas just with 16 episodes instead 60/100+ episodes. I don't remember the name of a 100+ episode KBS drama that I watched years ago with almost similar plot of chaebol in-law going from riches ro rags and livin with their daughter in-laws' family. Initially it was nice but now the antagonists are too overwhelming and our hero is apparently a crying damsel in castle. I am on E10 right now and can literally predict everything. Idk how people are so invested in this sobbing drama. Writing is also all over the place with so many plotholes, so many useless scenes, main couple just do not communicate, they barely have romantic scenes. Only true thing about this drama is it's title. Almost every episode starts and ends with ML or FL sobbing unnecessarily. This wasn't expected from writter considering she gave us CLoY. This time she tried to put too many things on her plate.
I should've just waited until it finished but was getting too many spoilers on Insta and reminders from Netflix. Seems like my slump will be longer.
Final Edit : I think these days it's really hard to just share opinion anywhere online especially when it doesn't align with the general mood of that comment section. People gets offended and start commenting as if they're bots or something. Yeah maybe am delusional but I won't delete the comment maybe moderator/admin would. Also I compared it with CLoY just cuz that couple had more understanding, trust on each other and show was smoother.
I am super excited for various reasons... Love PBY and CWS then the writter previously wrote our beloved summer which I really liked and director also has some really good shows in his credits lists like While You Were Sleeping, Hotel del Luna, My Love from another Star.
Viki is pricey for what it offers. Their platform should be much better for the monthly subscription. The only…
Exactly it costs around 5 Dollars in India while Netflix also costs same and offers Full HD, 2 screens at a time and a wider range of titles. Anyway I'll try using HiTV or something.
Is this drama really that good cuz it's quite hyped and I've seen quite a lot of articles and it's trending on…
Thank you guys for taking your time and sharing your opinion! Going by the ratio of positive replies I'll give it a try. Will update here if end up completing or dropping!
Is this drama really that good cuz it's quite hyped and I've seen quite a lot of articles and it's trending on Netflix but I am in terrible slump for past 1-2 years now. Last series I ended up completing was Samdal-ri. Though I love KJW and I loved Legend of the Blue Sea and CLoY (both written by this drama's writter) but I need some old school like drama.
