I never understood those teenagers disguised as fucking dedicated netizens in Korea, as to when and why they like any drama, so how can I dare to understand them this time?

For me, it always seems like a well packed scheme to destroy someone's career

Its receiving backlash because Korean netizens probably think this drama sexualized high school students, by the way they had shown the female lead.

They also think this show uses prostitution as a joke scene where ji chang wook gets arrested for being an illegal customer of forced prostitutes.

Of course, age gap is also there.

And one scene is said to be plaigiarsed from Japanese movie also, thats why there is so much backlash.

I'm new to cdramas, probably this is gonna be my second after Fifteen years of migratory birds, so can you guys please tell me is it worth watching at all? Cause I've been watching kdramas for five Years, and so I have high expectations.

Also, can anyone tell who falls first? Male lead or female lead?

Also, I realize I find acting of Chinese so so weird and annoying. But I admit they have some interesting plots I really want to watch.

I'm not a fan of historical dramas, even Korean historical dramas I find hard to watch, so I really don't know what to expect from this one.

I want to branch out so badly, I really want to try Chinese, Thai, Taiwanese dramas too, but I find myself hesitating so much.

Totally agree! Probably is I feel like I have found every needle in hay and now there is only waste left lol. But I still believe I might have missed some, seeing how from time to time I get something of my taste to watch by accident!

I also hate hate and hate love triangles and here, in kdramas, most of them have it so much.

Still, there are plenty of dramas without love triangles, problem is they are underrated but watching them is worth going all the troubles to find them and fall in love with kdramas all over again.

I even prefer two girls one guy love triangles, at least they are less miserable to watch than the other way around.

I really want to watch this drama, but since I've never really watched Thai dramas before, except full house Thai, I'm afraid I'll find it totally weird in terms of everything.

But I'm really really tempted to watch it because summary sounds just like the one I'm looking for to watch for so long!

I'm almost at the end of the Ugly Alert, I can say I loved it so so much, its something different that made me totally invested in it from the start.

Idk how you missed watching Ugly Alert, most people I met online have watched Ugly Alert, as their first long drama, including me.

I'm also like you, having no confidence in commuting to Long dramas, but this one proved to be a big exception for me.

Maybe, if you go and check its rating and comments here, you'll understand what I'm trying to say.

Also, each episode is just 35 min long, so it makes up around 60 episodes for you to watch. That's why even I started it thinking I don't have anything to lose except some really uneding long hours of lockdown.

It may start out slow, you may think I exaggerated so much praises about the drama but if you keep watching further, you'll see its all just for character development.

In the end, I just want to say its your wish whether you wanna give it a try or not, but since I have watched ugly alert, I'd been more addicted to it than 16-20 ep weekly dramas, already I'm having withdrawal syndromes lol. Don't want to watch last few episodes, afraid it'll end soon.

I loved fiery priest so much damn, I am wanting to start this one too, hope it lives up to my expectations!

I hardly see Jdramas where leads don't die or get happy ending these days, God I feel so old now. (Exceptions are always there but thats the main reason I avoid Japanese Chinese and Taiwanese dramas for their useless plot twists and melodrama about lives that gives depression to even happiest of the happiest people damn)
