Another drama with a si-mp male lead. What the hell is wrong with these Koreans? Are you guys really si-mp for…
Can you please tell me the meaning of simping? I want to watch this drama but I want to confirm if male lead is really squishy and pathetic in his feelings for female lead and chases after her without Any pride. If this is the case, I don't want to watch this drama. Please tell me.
Yes!! Finally! Mouse got nominated into the European Mania Festival 2021 as the only KDrama out of 19 shows taken from all over the world. I'm so happy.
Earlier Guest got nominated in 2019 and Cursed in 2020. Kdramas are finally getting the attention they have deserved all along! 💕
This drama takes it slow to spread the plot You need to be really patient for the first three episodes and then, when the action and murders start to kick in, accompanied by a thorough investigation thrown into the middle of everything chaos going on, it really starts to get saucy, interesting and exciting from there on.
I was about to drop this drama after two episodes. Now I feel like a fool why I even thought about something like that. I'm throughly impressed and satisfied with how this drama turned out. After memorist, repeat the year makes into my list of major blockbuster mystery thrillers with a tight plots.
For all the Indian fans of this drama, I actually made a short tribute to Piece of Your Mind because that's how much I loved it and that's how I will never forget about it.
If you want to watch it, you can click on the link given below---
I used one of the beautiful raw emotions expressing hindi song to describe the emotions of Ha Won and Seo Woo. Hope you guys like it as much as I loved watching this drama and editing videos about them.
and i dropped another drama, where jung hae in is ML... idk why he always choose this boring roles..
His roles look boring because you need a particular deep insight into the behavior of human beings to understand his character.
In fact, every character in this drama, to understand why they behave the way they do.
I'm not saying you're not allowed to express your opinion, of course you're very much welcome to do it.
But please do it in a way that won't look like a negative review on your part. By stating various reasons why you didn't like it and what's the mistakes the drama did.
It's like you're generalizing all his roles as boring ones. It's an insult to an actor. It's really like you're summing all of his acting career as a huge disappointment.
Which it is not, I'm sure most will agree too.
Have you ever wondered if any of these actors/actresses read all these negative back lashing comments here, what would they actually feel?
They all work harder than any other popular actor/actresses do for their dramas, if possible, all these underrated actors have to even work more harder than ever to give their best in this competitive industry.
I'm supporting your comment, but I'm saying my thoughts out loud too. Because that's how I naturally feel for all those low-key actors and actresses who don't get the recognition they deserve because other old ones are taking the limelight from them.
I know it's too late, like, I really respect all of your opinions. I just want to say mine.
Maybe, this drama was liked by many who left postive reviews here because they are being able to feel that empathy for the characters.
This drama is not everyone's cup of tea, like you need to have that certain personality, as mentioned by some viewers here, to have that calmness, serenity, that subtelity in you to enjoy this heartfelt melodrama with slice-of-life.
This drama is like a piece of an art, narrated like a poetry, you'll get it only if you're willing to go deeper.
You feel like they told mostly everything in the first second episodes, when you didn't realize that actually this drama is like a puzzle, the more you see it, the more you learn something new about it.
Everything is confusing here because its a character driven drama, not dialogues driven. So, we're actually dropped in the middle of their stories, and it's kinda intriguing how we as an audience need to figure it out on our own the whole of their story with the few meaningful dialogues and those momentful expressions.
The amazing resonating OSTs help us understanding character's feelings more and more, and we don't even realize at which time we start understanding them as our own pains, its like we get too much attached to them.
I agree POYM has it's own flaws, like even I skipped most of that piano guy's scenes and that annoying cousin, but then I realize the most beautiful thing.
That his husband wasn't actually irritating in the sense that he was stuck onto his wife's death, it was his character. It was his depth, his stangnancy to show how much lack of communication makes the person miserable.
This drama started as confusing, sad, depressing for most people, maybe that's why it lost most of it's audience.
But, the people who watched it, they all know and can't deny, it'll always be unique in its genre for being such a raw and realistic portrayal of pain, grief, sadness and depression.
And of course, healing.
That's the main part of this drama. Seeing how the characters heal from their past.
You say how it was creepy he kept being obsessed with his ex gf? Lol, she was not his ex. She was his childhood best friend.
He loved her all by himself, he never got to start a relationship with her since she got married to piano guy whom she loved very much.
People who watched it found this drama beautiful for its slow and realistic pace, it was a slow burn in raw sense, the sadness the male lead felt when his first love dies is so real.
Like, he didn't get to meet her for ten years, like he promised to her he'll keep loving her even if she gets married. Guys, that's not creepy, that's selfless unrequited love right here.
They can't meet each other for obvious reasons, as he promises that he'll never interfere with her marriage life. But someday he just wants to meet her as a geuine childhood friend.
Those missed chances these two friends have and how he can't even meet her even for the last time and then she dies so suddenly.
The guy didn't even cry at her death, it was stuck to his throat. She was the same person who stayed with him for his whole childhood and even when they started going college, just remember how much shock he got to endure in such a short time.
He was not obsessed with her. He just missed her so much, viewers misunderstood him so much.
She was a constant in his life, and then one day she disappears forever, those scenes where he finally accepts she's gone is so poignant and beautiful.
It's like a human nature. But his life doesn't stop there only. He has Seo Woo with him now.
The drama teaches us the meaning and difference of loving someone in mind and loving someone who's in front of you. Physically.
That's the lesson he needed to learn. He accepts to let go, and that's why that literal happiness waiting for him at his door comes in.
Drama gives off some really positive lessons. Feels like if those viewers gave it one more chance, they wouldn't have been that disappointed.
But its all their opinion. I'm not forcing anyone here. I just wanted to make some of the points in my view.
This drama is something personal to every viewer here, and no one can deny, it has one of the most beautiful and well-thought OSTs.
I just keep coming back to this drama. Idk why, it's been such a long time since I last watched it. It's like a part of me is left among these people, this is probably the first drama which I keep repeating it over and over again but still, I'm not satisfied enough.
I keep feeling empty, that feeling of void keeps increasing. Those beautifully edited YouTube videos on this drama, thoughtfully selected and executed OSTs, they are the only things I've been playing it non-stop.
This drama was like a dream, when it started for me, where it started getting into me, why it have me lost in it's poetry, it seems mystery to me now.
Each now, I try to remember separate scenes of each episode, to test whether I remember them properly or not, and if I get even one wrong, I come here to engrave those scenes more deeper into my mind.
I'm actually afraid I'll forget about this masterpiece one day, that feeling feels like I'm not ready to let go of my own pain, of my own scars, I want to cling onto them as much as I can.
I'm just a human, one day I'll surely move on from this poetry, but till then, I'll be at peace and not forget to keep visiting my secret entity of calmness and relaxation.
Yeah, it's here. In the presence of these raw human characters who are at faults too, are not perfect at any sense, and yet they give strange feeling of hope, warmness and encouragement.
To move on. To be happy. To be alive to experience the new tomorrow.
I'll wait for my new tomorrow too. Even if it reaches late to me, I'll wait for that day till everything starts feeling like it's in the past.
