Yeah I was very confused about that too since it clearly looks like he has a wig on in the drama.

I figured it might've been for that but I wasn't sure of the timeline of his enlistment and the filming of this series.

Exactly! And it's little terrifying to me that people aren't able to see the darker sides of Nick and Mew just because they are paired with more negative characters. In facts, characters like Nick and Mew are the one you need to watch out for the most irl.

I agree and that's what I like about this series. None of the characters are black and white. But I guess it's also human tendency to see things in a dichotomy and take sides while ignoring the obvious grey. A large part of the fandom is like that and there's nothing we can do about it. The director's also mentioned that the reason he wanted to do a series like this is because he wanted to portray morally grey characters in sexual minorities because he often felt that people these days tend to glamorize gay people (especially in BLs now) which is also another form of "othering". He wanted to highlight the darker aspects as well because, gay people are also after all just like most people with their multi shades of grey.

My thoughts exactly! Came here after watching this shit show to see if anyone else was as exasperated as I was. Glad to see some people still have a good head on their shoulders.

Exactly! And Jerome was a celebrity ages ago and by his own admission wasn't popular enough to be recognized that much as well. At this point I feel like she's looking for excuses to write him off. She definitely charmed/drawn to him because he's a fun guy but I guess he doesn't quite fit that "perfect person" ideal she has in mind.

Same. She's quick to judge especially with Jerome. I don't see her doing this with anyone else. I think she has a very specific idea of who she wants to date. She's charmed by Jerome but he doesn't fit that "perfect person" that she's looking for so I feel like she's constantly looking for reasons to reduce that dissonance.

That's what I'm hoping for as well. I truly want to believe they are about to outclass him in the next ep. I can't accept what happened in the 11th ep.
