OMG I loved the way SH consoled JW in the next ep. He didn't force him to talk about it but just recognized his feelings and supported him. That speaks volumes about SH. Best Boy!
That was low of Hyunjin to gossip about the date with Jung Wook like that. It kind of feels like he wanted to make it clear that his going on that with JW was only because he thought he had to not because he had feelings for him. He clearly wanted that message out there. He's even making assumptions about JW's feelings and spreading those assumptions. That makes JW look desperate and he is the one who is stuck in this sticky situation trying to dissuade a desperate man kindly. Wow, that's some way to control the narrative. Literally, no one would've cared or misunderstood his date with JW given the mission. There was no need for this but the dude went out of this way to put this message out.
Also, he could've shared the thing about his original date falling out and him getting rejected while they were going to the date location and made light of the whole situation if he was that worried about JW's reaction. What's the point of spending a good day, coming back, and trying to clarify things? His intentions were quite clear. He wanted the people he was interested in to know that he only went out on this date because he thought he had to.
I understand JW taking him to his house on the first date could've been burdensome and caused some misunderstanding but he should've cleared it up with JW on the date. Not come back talk to others and then whine to JW.
I feel awful for JW. Dude already looks like he's going through something and this dude goes and does this. I hope JW doesn't take this to heart too much and gets through this.
There is a lot of misinformation in the comments section around the FL being selfish and the drama conveying a double standard message. I watched the whole drama and here's my opinion - this is a drama that is women-centric and addresses intimacy issues that most women face.
There is no bullshit about the double standards that some others are spreading in the comments section. The FL tries her best to convey to her bf that she is not satisfied with their sexual relationship (albeit not directly) by suggesting other ways that can bring back the spark in their relationship as it's been 5 years since they've been dating and fire seems to have fizzled out. She's always putting his needs first even when she suggests using toys that again was catered towards the man's pleasure as much as the woman's. But the bf (as men always do) took it the wrong way assuming that she meant he was bad at sex and that it was his fault she was not satisfied when she was merely asking him to put her needs first for once so that she can finally experience a climax. Hearing this the bf's fragile ego was hurt and he goes on to accuse her of having some problem and even brings up his past relationship saying that every other woman he has slept with was satisfied so it has to be a problem with her. Classic gaslighting. She tried to communicate her needs to her bf but the moment she does, he turns the tables on her because his fragile ego can't take it. And as the episodes go on we can see just how much he takes her for granted.
So watching this, I really don't understand how some people here are calling her a hypocrite or failing to communicate because when she did, this was his reaction. Also please look up the statistics on how many women in relationships fake an orgasm because they don't want to hurt their partner's ego and they've been conditioned to put their needs (especially sexually) second. If you are not knowledgeable on the subject, you should refrain from commenting and misleading people.
In season 1 it was Jun-Ho wailing on the train tracks in the snow.In season 2 it was Nina on that bridge as the…
The Nina episode and Jun-Ho wailing literally wrecked me. Also I reckon the writers just gave up on the second for The Island and Duty After School. Both showed so much promise but disappointed me greatly.
The 3rd episode this season with Nina hit me hard. I still kept thinking about it days later. It was heart-wrenching. I hope we get another season so we can conclude on at least a hopeful note. I'm not ready to let go of these characters just yet.
Why did they have to kill off Da Peng?!! He was one of my favourite characters. I saw a spoiler clip of this and it made me tear up. Idk if I wanna watch that episode now.
i want to ask people who didn't saw the character development exactly what kind of character development did you…
You're forgetting there's significant time lapse from when there were in school and college to the present and they're exactly the SAME. Even after all this time from the past to present they haven't done any growing up. But fine, you can say it's for plot's sake and justify this, but dude, 22 eps have passed and we're still stuck with characters who haven't changed even a little bit since ep1; only this time in a professional setting. It's only logical to assume adult behaviour or mature perspectives and mannerism from ADULTS but all we're getting is teenage tantrums still. I guess it's my fault expecting anything nuanced from C-dramas but I am entitled to my opinion. I'm still watching this drama because I like the actor and the story is entertaining enough but that doesn't mean I can't be critical of how stupid it actually is.
FINALLY! Something actually happened in this latest episode. I don't like any of the characters or but I kept up with it hoping to see the disaster rescue that we were promised in the previews and it's finally here. At least we're moving forward plot-wise. The characters are still as static as ever. I mean you had 22 eps for character development but I barely see any progress on this since ep 1. No matter there's still 18 eps to go...better late than never.
I came across clips of this drama on IG and it reminded me of DOTS and so I decided to watch it. This, and the fact that Yang Yang was in it. But boy is this drama giving me a headache! There's not a single character in this drama I like. Yang Yang's character is single-minded, rigid and stubborn af. He comes off as so damn immature, unempathetic, and close-minded. I'm especially referencing when he throws a tantrum when his colleague confides his personal troubles and his desire to transfer. It was like watching a 7-year-old throw a tantrum. The female lead really got my BP up. First off, the actress is beautiful but she's got a sum total of two expressions. Girl really needs to work on her acting. But there's little you can do when your character is that atrocious. Her character is the embodiment of wishy-washy. She revels in self-pity, has zero backbone, and can't make a decision to save her life. Her adoptive brother is unnaturally obsessed and processive of her. He's 100% got a thing for her. And their mother is the literal worst. She's a seasoned gaslighter and control freak. Oh and she knew her son and a thing for the FL and decided to have the female lead take up their family name as a solution. What a sick, messed-up bunch of nutters! P.S. There's also a random girl that is conveniently linked to both the ML and FL's families and "coincidentally" also looks a lot like the FL. Girl just spawns right in the middle of the drama and if that doesn't scream STALKER, idk what does.
Can someone tell me what happened with OhmNannon? Everyone keeps saying they had a problem or something but I see nothing beyond that. I feel so left out. Could someone fill me in on this?
