I just watched this show and I must say I really liked it. Since this show is quite on my mind here's my thoughts.
First off, I really appreciate the fact that the majority of the cast members in the show in the show were in their 30s and there wasn't a huge age between the cast members. I felt that this allowed the cast members to empathize with each other and date naturally.
Secondly, I initially felt that some of the secrets/lies here were not that serious but after giving it some thought, my perspective on this has changed. There definitely were some bombers (Haneul, Hanui, and Taeyang) whose secrets definitely were more serious. But I can understand why some of the others especially, Bareum and Chansol felt that their secret could be negatively received particularly by the family of their significant other, seeing as how they were both keen on marriage, this probably felt very grave. As for the secrets of the rest of the cast, I don't feel like it was that grave and they were probably cast for being good-looking.
Thirdly, IMO the most mature cast members and my favorites on the show were Haneul, Chansol, and Bareum. I loved how bright and positive Chansol was throughout the show. While also being the mood-maker, he was also so receptive to the emotions and feelings of the other cast members. This also goes for Bareum and Haneul. Bareum consoling both Daon and Hanui so kindly was so nice to see. Haneul stayed true to her character throughout the show, never judging anyone and always offering a listening ear.
The other cast members were quite nice as well, DaHae was the female counterpart to Chansol in maintaining positive energy but she's quite immature. It showed in her reaction when everyone's secrets were revealed. She was unable to empathize with anyone since she has not struggled at all in her life. That being said, I love how open and receptive she was Chansol brought that to her notice. Hanui and Hangyeol also seemed very nice but they didn't charm me as much. I'm not fond of Seulbi though as she comes off as quite calculative to me idk why.
The cast member I feel bad for is Daon. She was literally gaslighted by Hanu and Taeyang (Mostly Hanu). She was constantly gaslighted by these two. I really hated Hanu after he called her Vixen. when things didn't go his way. That was completely uncalled for. And doing that in front of everyone was below the belt. Especially when he was going around giving signals to everyone. She was allowed to like more than one person, hence the program but they made her feel like she was playing with their feelings while galavanting with other members themselves. They wanted to possess her but she was not giving them that hence the tantrums from both boys. I thought Taeyang was mature but after that 8 am incident, he also seems to be as immature as Hanu. But I have to give it to Hanu, the man surely knows how to charm the socks off anyone he goes on a date with.
Lastly, the reason why I liked this show was the mature interactions between the cast members and some very cute ones too (Chansol and Dahae)! It definitely had enough drama to keep me entertained for 12 eps XD
Any one know what drama OST Huihyeon sang on the overnight day?
Never mind I found it. If anyone else was curious, the song is from the drama Discovery of Love. The song is called "It's strange with you" by Acoustic Collabo.
Can someone please explain the ending? Where is Mr. Gu headed? Was his driver killed in that last encounter? What happens to his job and the gambling dude?
It’s scheduled to air on Youtube after Not Me finishes, right now its only available exclusively in Thailand…
Well that's great news even though I don't find the storyline or characters remotely interesting. Just wanna watch it to support EarthMix. I'm looking forward to their other series scheduled to air this year, that is, Midnight chicken or something.
