what whyy?? is there a reason they wont allow it??
The chinese government and censorship staff banned lots of stuff for fear of distorting history, reality, values, beliefs, and so on e.g. vampires, warewolves, ghosts, rebirth , transmigration , real life -to-book/game travel- hence fictional characters migrating into the real world and vice versa. The screenwriters come up with some wayas to bypass it, but it is hard, and so they have to come up with a "satisfying ending" like here, so that the drama isn’t heavily censored or what is worse - redone or shelved forever and ever.
What dafuq Romance On The Farm ending was that? Ugghhhh... It's kinda satisfactory but STILLL!!!!!! LOL I call…
It gives me Scarlet Heart Ryo ending vibes 😆 😆 It was a hot mess, but still we love it. That is what irks me - she said that famous line of not giving us a scam only for the writers to do the opposite so that the CCP is satisfied. 😅
The queen is never resting 🤧 We gonna be having a feast. 👏👏👏So many dramas are giving us alternative universes of couples who didn't get together lol. 🥰🤪
I hate it so much that they didn't show us his face and them being together in one shot, because the chinese government wouldn't let a fictional character stay in real life lmao 😭 blame it on them, that is what we feared after all. Lots of deleted scenes which made the show derail in the middle, but still I just couldn't abondon it. The show's charm was too strong.. The last two episodes with all the redoing scenes did not make sense, it just didn't if you start thinking deeply about it. I am grateful they wanted to give us basically everyehing a fan can dream of in just 32 episodes, but it made the ending rushed. Fans on weibo are mad, so I hope the actors and the director won't get hate... 🙄 I cried just by realizing that ZQ is basically a younger version of FZ 🥲 Overall, it is not hard to imagine them together in real life 🥹❣️ guys, watch their drama Moonlight and see it as epilogue lmao 😁🥰 going to rewatch it 😆
i can never bring myself to watch this show , watched some clips of it ( yeah sadly) and im already feeling terrible…
I have a strong urge to watch it, too, because it's basically real life, but I just... just can't man. Years of watching multiple-genred c/k/j-dramas I am still not fully desentisized. I keep on suffering for weeks when I see a sad ending..😭😭
It is getting better with every episode. I love the different themes it tackles. 💗 Usually we are frustrated to see a kiss between the leads but I have to say it is one of rare dramas where I personally would be completely fine without it. I love it🥹🫶🏻It makes me cry happy, sad tears. There are just healing, touching moments. On the side note, I am quite surprised it is 34 episodes, so it seems we're going to see perhaps GY's career development and LDW's project getting completed :D
and btw hypocrisy at its finest is using "she looks like a mom" as a drag bc what is a mom exactly supposed to…
I wasn’t trying to shame Victoria Song or question her acting ability. I have nothing but respect for her as I love her acting. My comment about the "motherly" vibe was meant to explore the dynamics between Chu Yu and Wei Yun in the novel. My main focus was only the novel hence the question. From what I understand and reading chinese netizens comments on forums Chu Yu initially takes on a nurturing, protective role, almost like a mother or older sister, due to her wisdom and responsibility for the Wei family. There is a, emotional maturity gap between both of them. I was wonder how their relationship evolves into a romantic partnership as Wei Yun matures and I was curious how the show would portray that by casting VS and DYX. If you look at the photo stills (my second point) the make up makes both of them look mature (VS) and DXY (boyish - in comparison to his other dramas, that's why I was surprised) from my perspective. I was in no way shaming their ages lol. Now I got my answers and found out that Wei Yun grows up into a capable man and CY becomes his guide by reading other forum than MDL. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding.
I'm sorry, but as much as I LOVE this drama, I have to be honest to say the latest episodes are getting choppy. They seem to have cut some essential scenes. How are they going to tie smoothly all the loose ends in just 9 episodes ?! It is driving me insane lol😭 The Director better not give us like 5 seconds of them being back in the real world 🫥
Victoria Song seems to be a miscast here. DYX looks like a 14 year old boy from filming stills (magic?!), but can't say the same for Victoria. She seems like an older sister, almost a mum. There is supposed to be only a a year difference between them in the novel, so I am curious - does the story show a span of a few years as they grow up together in marriage?
It was a hot mess, but still we love it.
