Was home sick today and decided to do a rewatch and I have to say that I really enjoyed season two the second time around. Which is funny because I was having such a hard time with it when I'd have to wait for the episodes week to week. I don't even mind the first 7 episode retread the second time around. The one thing I will say is I do miss characters like Good from season one, though. But the second season is not nearly as bad as I originally thought it was. I think it helps that I really enjoy Mean and Plan's performances and I really do enjoy Perth as well and as much as I miss Saint...I understand that Pete's absence was in the books. (I just try to ignore the drama that happened behind the scenes)
Couple things...when did Grace and Third find out Time is alive? What are the chances that Chanon is actually bad? Him just appearing in this episode...the timing seemed odd to me. Who else thinks that Young is still alive? Anyone else think that Pengs power is actually stronger than Supot's and so Supot was actually testing Peng in the episode to see how strong his power actually was with those random kids. Because I honestly think there will be a point when Peng will be able to use his power over Supot even if Supot said it's not possible. Anyone else miss Korn, the twins and Mon...'cuz honestly we really never see them. Especially the twins. Poor guys. It's like they are just random background characters.
Episode 9 was Great!!! Couple things...Itt had to have been awake when he was holding Pai's hand when they were "sleeping." Favorite moment of the entire episode. Also the blindfolded scene was quite beautiful. I love how Pure stepped in and made sure that Itt and Pai were together. Pure knows that Itt and Pai are meant to get together. And I was just happy to finally have more Itt and Pai scenes after a lot of episodes of not so many scenes together.
Second...I wanted to tell Folk to run when he finally started to hook up with Pure because I know Pure's track record but I know they are end game but I really don't want to see Folk get hurt so I am hoping Pure stops with the hook-up's and can be an honest man for Folk. I'm wondering if we will see a reversal though and Folk will become a hook-up guy for a while while Pure pines for him, though? Not sure how that story will play out?!?!?!
Then there is poor Waan...the one time he could actually get a girl on his own he sabotages it because Pure likes the girl and he's being the friend by "giving" his friend the chance first. When in reality the girl he likes actually likes him. Waan...Waan...Waan... Pure could get any girl or guy he wants. Go after the girl! You are worth it! Don't let your self doubt stop you from trying to get the girl! Besides...Pure's alter ego Korn hasn't been such a nice guy lately. Oh sorry...thinking about The gifted Graduation again...
So...I did a weird thing. I watched the first 11 episode of LBC season 2 before I even started LBC season 1. I'm going to be honest...never been a Saint fan. He looks like an ex of mine so I didn't like him in Why R U? So I stayed away from LBC. I've never been interested in seeing the series because of him. But I have to say...Perth makes this series worth watching. Perth's Ae is an amazing character. He makes you want to find a guy like him. Now do I like Saint in this series? Nope. But that's more because he reminds me of when I was in high school. My self esteem was exactly where his is. And I'd rather not remember that time of my life. But had I had an Ae in my life in high school it would have gone so much better. I would have loved myself so much better and I would have loved life so much more.
I can't compare season 1 to season 2 because in all honesty. There is just too much difference between the two. For starters the leads are different. But I will say that I do like both Mean and Plan as well as Perth and I really don't miss Saint if that says anything. And yes I know there might be some Saint fans who will be mad at me but that's OK. We all have our favorite actors and actresses. And Saint is not one of mine...but Perth is quickly becoming one of mine.
Oh and just a side note...my favorite side character is Good...I love every time he is on screen. He is really missed on season 2! His complete opposite energy to Can is prefect and funny and brilliant all at the same time.
I think it's weird as hell and I honestly couldn't give a rats ass about Ae/Pete at this point. (I wasn't that…
Oh I love Ae and Pete...I just find the song story odd. It's just an odd story. Unless it was actually in the books. I do know that Pete does come back and they do end up together but I just find this story kind of out of the blue odd. I'm not sure if we are supposed to trust the guys writing the song? I'm not sure the point of the story. Is it just another way for Ae to hurt and feel his pain and be reminded of his pain because Pete is gong? Just trying to figure to the angle of the story.
I was prepared to not like episode 12 and yes there were still the subtitle issues (mostly in the first clip again) but I must admit they got me with the fact that first we find out that North faked his last health scare to prove a point to his mother and second that we finally got North and Ongsah together...well maybe...the preview for the finale looks sus for them. But that's another story. And I still have the same opinion that I have said all along...to many other characters. They could have dropped the entire volleyball storyline and the series would have been much better. But this is the better of the last few episodes.
I keep reading the comments every week and I am still enjoying this season so much more than most fans. Yes I do miss the Ae and Pete storyline and I was totally bugged by the first 7 episodes being a retread of last season but I have really been enjoying this season. And yes it has gotten better since we have gotten past the season 1 retread. But I'm really loving the TinCan story and I love hating Tul and I do wish there was more Ae but as that story is kind of boring I'm OK with it kind of being really at the side of things. They should have stuck with some kind of Ae/Pond adventure rather than what we have gotten to be honest. But I do understand the criticism because I have not read the books. But I do like Mean and Plan so I am just enjoying the series as it is.
I watched right after they posted the episode. The sub timing for the first segment was completely screwed up.…
I did watch the entire episode and the rest of the episode was much better, Once the subtitles were fixed it was better although there were still times where there were no subtitles at all. But it was much better than the first segment where they were 30 seconds ahead the entire time. And don't get me wrong. I actually do enjoy the show. I keep coming back for more episodes. I just get frustrated with the technical aspect of things. I can forgive the writing and acting to a point. But subtitles I have a hard time forgiving because I know there are those who really depend on them.
(Sigh) The first clip of episode 11. OMG!!! The subtitles were 30 seconds ahead...This series would not be half bad if it were not for the subtitles. Especially the episodes that focus mostly on North and Ongsah. But when you have to spend your time focusing on the bad subtitles instead of the poor writing and the fact that there are only 4 actors on the series that can act (Guy, Peem, Oat and Strong) you start asking yourself why you are at episode 11 and continue to watch? And the answer...I really want to know what happens to North and Ongsah. But my god this series is so frustrating to watch.
I liked episode 10. It still had some issues but the fact that it focused mostly on North and Ongsah made it worth watching. But I suspect that North is going to die, though. He started having headaches but it's what he was saying to Ongsah that really made me thing "Oh crap! He's going to die." Then of course there was the mother's scream, her saying "North! No!" I don't know...I just feel like North and Ongsah will not get a happy ending. In part because they are not the main couple but also because I feel that episode 10 might have been the "happy" part of their relationship before it all goes to crap being there are only 3 episodes left. But I could be wrong. I just have a not so good feeling about this one. Kind of the same dread feeling I had at about episode 9 of "The Shipper." Hope I'm wrong. Who knows...maybe his headache will help him get his memory back and all will be happy?!?!?!?
My main issue is also that Indy and Jedi (Strong and Oat) are supposed to be main role characters, but I just…
Oh I agree. They should have cut the entire volleyball story and the series might be much more watchable to be honest. There are too many characters fighting for a small amount of screen time so the main couple gets pushed out because their story isn't as exciting as the "second couple's" story. And it probably doesn't help that the best chemistry in the series is between Guy and Peem. So that is why fans would gravitate to Ongsah and North when watching just to having something to hang onto because the series is such a mess. It's an interesting series to watch.
The only thing that saves this series are the characters of Ongsah and North. Otherwise the series is kind of a mess. With that said...it has gotten better with episodes 8 and 9. But I literally only watch for Ongsah and North. Both actors (Guy and Peem) do a great job playing their roles and they have great chemistry. Other then that this series suffers from having too many characters I just don't care about and too many actors that cannot act. Also doesn't help that the subtitles are spotty at best. So in my view you should do what I do...watch the Ongsah and North scenes and fast forward through all of the rest.
I too think it was retelling part that was kind of boring and kept the series lagging. Plus in the first few episodes…
Yes, I would agree that episodes 5 and 6 have been much better. And I have loved the entire season. I just think they should have structured it a little differently. They are risking boring and losing fans if they take too long on retelling story that has already been told. But I agree...episodes 5 and 6 are an improvement!
I don't think it's nearly as bad as BL fans keep saying it is. I love the focus on TinCan. Both Mean and Plan are excellent actors and play their roles well. I do think they are taking a bit long retelling the TinCan story, though. They should have done it like "2 Moons 2" did and pushed it through in about 4 episodes because I can see why some fans are kind of bored. I do think that once we get past the retelling of the TinCan story we will be able to focus on the other characters more which will be nice because I feel like all of the other characters are forced in right now and that comes off as odd and makes the pacing of the series seem a bit off. But I have no complaints about acting because I love the cast of this series. In particular Mean, Plan, Perth and Earth.
Personally I'm glad I have not read the books because I'm not having any of the issues with the series that anyone who has read the books seem to be having. I'm loving the series. I do find Khim to be a bit annoying at times but other then that I am finding all of the characters enjoyable. I also find the chemistry of all of the couples to be very good even the doctors/Khim whatever that is going to end up being be it the two doctors or the doctor and Khim. I might go back and read the books after the series is done but I have no interest because as I read all of these comments and I'm glad I don't have the disappointment that others are having.
"My Day" is my guilty pleasure BL. I think mostly because it seems to have embraced camp to be perfectly honest. It's campy. This series will not be for everyone. It's far from perfect. In fact its kind of a mess at time's. The acting can be bad. The storytelling can be worse. But there is something charming about the two leads. And I mean that. I think Aki and Miko are doing a great job for it being their first professional job. They have pretty good chemistry. And I love Ameer as Miss Becky! Sometimes I do question the writing of the series as there seem to be continuity issues. But I really enjoy the leads and that is why I keep coming back. I also get a kick out of the amount of product placement in this series. It's ridiculous to the point it makes me laugh. But I'm OK with that. I know there are a lot of haters for this series and that a lot of people have dropped this series but I am not one of them. It's not perfect but there are a lot of BL series (many that were streaming on a certain Chinese BL steaming service) that are far far worse than this one. Do I recommend this series? It's not for everyone. I would say if you are gay and into camp and two hot leads...then yes this series is for you. Not all BL fans will like this one. Like I said...it's a guilty pleasure series for me.
Never saw the original so I'm excited to see this version. I'm a BrightWin fan and I'm just happy to see them working. So many BL actors never break out of their BL roles so I am happy to see both Bright and Win branch out. Is it too soon? Nope. Not in my opinion. It's never too soon for a new role for an actor. They have bills to pay. Plus as actors they do not want to be seen as only Sarawat and Tine. They need to show the world that they can be versatile before they are typecast. So let them play as many roles as they can. Maybe some day they will return to Sarawat and Tine but in the meantime let them act. Let them act together. Let them act apart. Sometimes I think BL fans expect too much of the BL stars. But in reality BL stars are people too. They have bills to pay. They need to work. They need characters to play. So we need to support them...not bombard them or GMMTV with negative comments. That's just selfish nonsense. So I'm looking forward to this series. I hope it's on youtube so I can watch it here in the US so I can continue to follow the careers of two of my favorite Thai celebs...Bright and Win.

Great episode!
