this could have been so good if not for the plot holes and the awful ending.

It's not that it's REALLY bad, it's just very disappointing for those who know the story and understand how good it could have been if they had at least tried a bit. the novel/webtoon is so much better in every way.

you can check that the rating from verified users was much lower, a rating of 7.38. so no, it was not just because of that actually

i'm trying my best to watch it because i do like Esther as a person and the story is interesting, but there's so many things that don't make sense with the fl, plus the obvious infantilization of the character. I would be totally fine with it if it was not this exaggerated but i just can't seem to stop focusing on it. And i understand this may be really good for some users but having a 8.5 rating is crazy, there are multiple dramas with the same rating and much better acting, and not these plot holes.
