Fouad don't take it badly, it's not mean, but this is my opinion: you watch a lot of BL (call it what you like)…
"Two men having sex is disgusting" HELLO MODS? WHY IS THIS HOMOPHOBIA BEING ALLOWED? Display of constant Homophobia on public platforms is not subjective opinion!! Discrimination against minorities is not subjective opinion! They are also attacking Gong Jun. Can people please report?

You know what? more and more people here are convinced (basing on all your comments below), that you are sick.…
Reported for homophobia. Can MDL do something to protect their LGBT members who must face these violently homophobic comments even in the comment section of DANMEI ADAPTATIONS? Urge everyone else to report the same. Sex between same sex is sick? Attraction between two men is not respectable? THIS IS DISGRACEFUL. LGBT people are normal human beings.

Genuinely sick of the homophobes roaming around. Wenzhou are a couple canonically and would be considered as such in all adaptations of the work, no matter how censored. Just go watch pure bromances instead of ruining the comment section of every single Danmei adaptation with ceaseless homophobia. When the source material is Danmei, people WILL view the CP as a romantic couple. SHL as a drama did so much to hint at that too, the relationship between the leads wasn't muted like CQL. SHL even portrays them as soulmates who spend their life together.

Danmei dramas are censored because these relationships are not friendships. Drama viewers may see it in any way they like but they are a CP and are promoted as such. Just don't expect others to agree with y'all.

Exactly lmao. Tine believed everything in one second and Sarawat never even went to see him and clarify despite seeing his ill health. There was no desire to fight for their so-called relationship. People should be discussing the lack of their emotional bond more. They didn't even seem like good friends, just roommates who are supposedly in a relationship. Sarawat's teasing at the end made me cringe too, it felt like verbal abuse. It was so uncomfortable to watch them at the end and that's mainly because they had no emotional connection, no vulnerability.

Also, it's so strange to see them talk about emotional connection because.. what emotional connection? Did they even have a conversation beyond guitar playing, one date, one discussion about their lives and personalities, any portrayal of their daily struggles, their families, their domesticity... literally anything of substance? What great emotional bond are y'all even seeing that can override every other negative aspect of the show?

So I made the mistake of going to Twitter to see the 2gether hardcore fans defending this travesty with their…
The way 2gether fans have been aggressively demonizing and degrading casual intimacy and physical affection between homosexual couples... it made me go from being annoyed at the ruined potential of the series to an active dislike for it. Companies like GMM will continue to cast attractive actors and create bromance masquerading as BL, because fans will defend anything if it has actors they find attractive. They don't need good writing, realistic conflicts or even a proper love story, just cast good looking actors awkwardly pretending to be gay onscreen. What a time to be alive for these companies and straight actors who want to profit off the BL hype but don't want the stain of gay. Congratulations to everyone.
I don't even want to talk about how these people seem to think intimacy= kissing/sex, it's another headache altogether. The problem of this show wasn't a lack of intimacy, but the lack of love itself. They never even had the minimal emotional connection beyond eye contact for the fans to claim how their "emotional bond" is superior. They had no emotional bond, no physical connection, nothing. It's a romcom without romance.

Hmmm. So any drama promoting as BL can't not be criticized since some countries are still hating gays? Thank you,…
First of all, intimacy =/= sex. Intimacy between a couple is in their togetherness, in the simple touches, in their regular domesticity, in their ease with each other. 2gether erased every single bit of it. It's offensive that 2gether fans act like it's disgusting to expect natural intimacy between a supposed couple. This series had no romance for me, it went from flirting to random jealousy, to sudden confession, to moving in, to forced conflicts and the end. Maybe the "love story" in this series worked for you but for me, it felt hollow. They seemed distant and dissociated from each other in their couple phase. So I have every right to complain about that and expect better from LGBT content in 2020. We deserve better as viewers.

The various narratives of 2gether stans are baffling. Is it good to erase all forms of intimacy between a gay couple, is it something to be celebrated because they have acknowledged romantic feelings? I think masking a bromance in the BL package is just as heinous as queerbaiting. Because we don't get much, we should be happy with whatever scraps they throw at us and never complain. This is why companies like GMM behave like this. Just put hot dudes together and throw some cutey moments instead of actually telling a proper love story, people will be all over it. It's not wrong to expect better from LGBT content in 2020.

I was re-watching that scene where Hao Ting tries to kiss Yu Xi Gu, things get heated and Yu Xi Gu ends up pushing him away... ugh the build-up, the tension, the attraction.. still gives me chills. That is what first love feels like, a terrifying and exciting ride. 2bros WISHES.

people on twitter really be saying that by not showing any intimacy, actual kisses between sarawat and tine writers…
Toxic combination of sheer lookism and severe homophobia. It's so insulting to see the fans of this series treating casual physical affection between same-sex couples as something deviant and disgusting. Anything to defend the non-existent chemistry of these two.

I want to watch this but i think i cant stand the tragic endings :(
Watch it from 1-9, skip the last few minutes of episode 9, skip the 10th episode and read the alternate ending. It's brilliant that way.

honestly brightwin's chemistry drier than the sahara like i cannot believe that out of all bl couples out there…
I wouldn't say homophobia but lookism definitely. People have a natural tendency to praise and defend anyone they deem attractive. Bright and Win are conventionally attractive and the series was on a mainstream channel which resulted in the popularity. But it's worrying that the fans of this series constantly brag about the "pure love" (read, nonexistent chemistry) and degrade shows that have intimacy and natural ease between couples. Why even watch a BL series if you're so disgusted by men being intimate? That definitely is blatant homophobia.

I think bromance shouldn't be its first tag but it's not obstructing the series IMO. Gay relationship, LGBTQ+…
No, I don't think viewers do that for straight shows unless there are gay characters or couples. At least I have never seen that before here. The series did turn the lead pair into a bromance in the second half so I personally don't think it's a problem. I feel they deserve the criticism for that. Secondary tags are often viewer opinions so I do believe bromance isn't inappropriate as a tag, but yeah it probably shouldn't be the first tag. This is just the initial reaction though, it will change later. The 9.0 score would too, hopefully.

I think bromance shouldn't be its first tag but it's not obstructing the series IMO. Gay relationship, LGBTQ+ etc tags are very much there still. So long as they are in place, it's a BL series. Many tags are added as viewer opinions, strong chemistry for example.

This deserves a worse score than MODC for me.
MODC was excellent till the last episode. This has been a consistent debate actually, should a series be judged by its one episode or overall value? Nothing can be worse than MODC's ending IMHO but MODC delivered such a tender, heartfelt love story in nine episodes that it's difficult for me to be unbiased and judge it fairly. The tenderness, the attraction, the connection between the pair, the intensity, the electricity, the dizziness of first love- everything that MODC pulled off so brilliantly was missing from 2gether.

I think both actors are not good at emotional scenes. I hated tine's crying lol but win is really great at comedic…
Yeah Win does entirely too much when crying lmao. I start laughing whenever he starts to cry. He is also very hesitant in romantic scenes which is a problem. But he is a debutante so I try to overlook some of his flaws. He is very overpraised though. Bright, on the other hand.. is just straight up BAD. If he had some emotional range, I could've at least felt Sarawat's struggle to some extent. He has the one eye squint expression in every scene, be it anger or sadness. Like go on girl, give us absolutely nothing.

Also, now that it's finished, I just want to say that Bright CANNOT act. The director was clever to film the back of his head when he was supposed to be sad tonight. He seems consistently disengaged and bored. This bored and aloof aura worked initially because of Sarawat's character but as Sarawat fell more in love, Bright's lack of skills was so visible. He has no emotional range. He is good at giving fond gazes, I like that about him but for an experienced actor, he fails at everything else. He is constantly posing and trying to look good instead of delivering the required emotional intensity. The scriptwriting and directing are to be blamed but it's so predictable that Bright's terrible acting receives absolutely no criticism because people find him attractive. Whoever said the viewers of this show are "blinded by a bright light" was right. I am not saying Win is some exceptional talent, but he can at least portray some emotional turmoil. Bright is just plain bad. I really wish he wouldn't take up another BL role since he can't commit himself or at least deliver some good acting. He cannot do anything more than being the cool boy stereotype in bad romcoms. I really hope he works on his craft more.
Additionally both the actors looked plain uncomfortable and awkward together in the second half of the series. Their discomfort showed. They themselves are one of the major reasons for Sarawatine's lack of chemistry imo.

When will its rating drop? LolHonestly looking at 9.0 rating makes me so frustrated.
The fact that it's rated over Trapped, Crossing the Line, He's coming to me etc.. then the fans whine when people expect better from this show. Recency bias is a problem but this being the highest-rated BL series on this site... no words.
