there is so much different between novel and this 2022 adaptation, but the change is acceptable, and some parts are better in adaptation.

Top 5 differences for me are:

1. Yuan ziyi and her teacher are from Tianshan sect, in novel they are a member of Emei sect that live in xinjiang.
2. Yuan Ziyi's martial sister not showed up in novel
3. Cheng Lingsu got a strange disease since child , and need medicine if she went out of valley, the novel doesnt have this
4. Miao Ruolan first appearance in adaptation was still baby or not born yet when in shang manor, in novel, she was 2 years old.
5. Xiao Mei and Bai Xiao Shen Ni nun showed up many times in adaptation compare to novel (only once)

Xiao Mei appeared only once in the novel, in Shang Manor story, she is older than Miao Ruolan, coz at that time MRL only 2 years old. I read the first editon of novel, so i hope none of that part is revised by jin yong

with this high quality and deep wuxia aura, they should release season 2, starring adult Xiao Mei and teenager Miao Ruolan, and triangle love to main protagonist, and story is set at Flying Fox Snowy Mountain era. Would be awesome.

if the stories of book 6-8 are about Marquis Zhuge and his 4 main disciples. Then i think it's more into "The Four Constables series" over "Heroes" to me. Just my 2 cents.

i think i will not extend the subscription for the last 2 episodes, i dont want waste money just for those 2 last episodes.

i have watched handsome siblings and first sword of wudang, i like both of them, i can easily like classic wuxia drama. Will try ancient detective then...

i only watch pure wuxia drama, so none after this...
maybe waiting Fox volant of the snowy mountain movie and the young flying fox

if you are seeking for romance drama, than this is not for you, this drama can be considered uncommon for nowadays as other historical / costume dramas focus on romance, as it it trending topic.

there are two love triangles, but i dont know if it can be called love triangle, because the pair is already love each other, and the third person is only one-sided love, cannot do anything.
