there are 2 factions in court, the name is not official, but let's say Wang faction and Royal faction. Princess Ping Yang is not into politic and make a friend with zhang yi (a son of deputy minister of defense Zhang Feng) and a son of Duke/Earl Pingyuan . The fathers of both men are from Wang faction.
