Same! I don't mind a sad ending if it fits the narrative. Sometimes when they push for a happy ending when it doesn't makes sense pisses me off more than a sad ending lol. I do agree tho that dramas should have happier endings but C-dramas 7/10 times be having sad ass endings.

Interesting, i guess they just forgot to put the 21st century girl part in lol but that's probably why they be using 21st century words in this drama. Honestly if I didn't read the synopsis for this drama, I'd just assume she pulled a Yang mi in TMOPB where she forgot all her memories.
