I agree with your descriptions especially with the MaxTul, MingKit, FighterTutor and BohnDuen ships. I think in 2 moons 2 though, Pavel did a good job as Forth. It's just that he somehow eclipsed Dome's performance as Beam which paled in comparison and appeared awkward.

In any case, 2gether really started off good but somehow went downhill in the last few episodes. Ironically, there was less chemistry between the couple when they were no longer faking their relationship. Oh well.

Correct! Your comment also reminds me of the song "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered." Which is kinda apt also for the series. haha

NCT means?

There were some silly scenes at the start (especially during the fantasy scenes madeup by the fujoshi) but I think it was meant to be that way. P'Jenny was also funny as the god of death. I am very much interested to see Pan and Kim on how they would act like the opposite sex (especially for Kim who inside him is Pan - a girl who is into BL). That's quite a challenge to portray. I hope the actors and the director are up for it. Anyway, I eagerly await for upcoming episodes if only for the story's premise and also for Ohm (I love the way he acts in previous dramas especially in Make it Right and He's Coming to Me). :-D

Love her roles in LBC, 2M2 and UWMA (the other I haven't watched yet). She is a funny and lovable female character. A welcome change in the usual bitchy female villain characters. Hope she gets her own series as a main character.

I think that would be a realistic expectation. Give the audience some happy ending but keep them eager and hoping for more in Season 2. In any case, for as long as it is not a "high five" type for the main couple that would be a happy ending enough for me. haha

I hope that the reported problems with Ryan Peng will be resolved eventually. We need Mek for Boss in Season 2. :-D

Yes. TharaFrong needs more scenes to develop as a couple and that could be done in Season 2. I think Thara was missing in the tree planting activity coz he was busy looking for the missing necklace. And returning that necklace to Frong would be a great way to kindle their spark as a couple before ending this season. haha

I also hope King would finally make up his mind and accept Ram already. They are such a cute couple. :-)

In the case of BohnDuen, I still can't get over that sad scene where Duen said to Bohn that if he loves him, then he should let him go. I hope that they will top that scene in the last episode. :-D

I forgot to mention. The most heartwrenching scene in that episode. When Duen said to Bohn that if he still loves him, then he should let him go. Although both characters can be childish, I really felt the sadness and the hurt at that scene. Hope it all ends well though. Saturday can't come soon enough. haha

Another thing which I kinda noticed. In previous episodes, what I noticed was that King was the one pursuing Ram. And now, when Ram is starting to show feelings for him, King is somehow scared? I mean I got the feeling that he was pushing off Ram recently. What gives? Am I the only one who found that weird? Did I miss something? Any help and input is much appreciated. :-D

Whoever he ends up with, just don't mess up BohnDuen. haha. By the way, were there any scenes between Phu and Tee that would even imply that they could possibly end up as a couple also? I think I missed any of that. In any case, if that happens I would dig that ship. haha

I agree. I hope that she didn't make it in modeling or whatever (serves her right). And if Boss will fall for that girl's BS, then I wish it results in the MekBoss breakup (so that it eventually result in a reconciliation story in Season 2 perhaps?). Or maybe (and I hope this is what will happen), Fon wants Boss back but he rejects her coz he already found real love with Mek. Awww. haha

At first I did not think Duen saw the kiss coz of his question when Bohn went back to the campsite. But I guess it was somehow a test by Duen to Bohn if he will be honest enough to admit what happened. Sadly, Bohn failed in that aspect.

Some people here are ranting here because of the jealousy issue (which by the way is common in BL series). I kinda expected that "trope" in My Engineer considering it's theme is not that serious and how silly the series started off (like the the sleeping nearby a giant lizard and the bringing of flowers everyday just to name a few). Considering also there are 4 couples in the series, of course there would be a jealousy issue (e.g. MekBoss - with a girl, BohnDuen - with another boy). I just hope they would resolve this conflict in a good way and have a better ending compared to 2gether (fingers crossed).

Yes. Mai is kinda cute but I hate his presence for breaking up Bohn Duen. Maybe they should find another guy for him. Phu perhaps? haha

If Boss is gonna end up alone, then so be it. That serves him right. I mean look at Mek. How you could you hurt that guy? Not only is he cute but also talented and a good person. And Boss is gonna replace him for that wannabe starlet who is so ambitious she denies their relationship and doesn't give him enough time and attention? Stupid Boss! Ugh. I hope that if Boss returns to the arms of that bitch, that issue would not be resolved very fast so that we can have a MekBoss reconciliation in Season 2? haha

Still thinking about the flower crown scene by RamKing. Awwww. :-)

My gosh! Ep 13 was great. All couples had something going on in this episode.

BohnDuen couple has a misunderstanding over the forced kiss by Mai (I hate you bitch. haha) which led to their breakup. I really felt the pain when Duen was crying by his lonesome self in the tent. I hope this issue will be resolved next ep and with a great makeup scene. (On a side note, this predicament is somehow a welcome turn of events considering that in the past, it was almost always Bohn who was jealous and now the proverbial shoe is in the other foot with Duen getting jealous) ;-)

Trouble seems to be also brewing in MekBoss couple whose relationship has just leveled up, because of the comeback of that wannabe net idol ex-girlfriend of Boss. Ugh! Move on already girl. Find someone new and leave MekBoss alone! :-D

FrongThara couple seems to be in the development stage of their relationship and all thanks to missing necklace which P'Frong's father gave to him (I think Doc Thara was missing in the tree planting because he was looking for it. How sweet right?) I really loved their scene where they talked about their respective fathers and how they were not able to properly say goodbye to them (while his father did not leave him anything, he is in his heart according to Doc Phara) Props also to the director and cinematographer for that touching scene. It was well-executed!

Last (and certainly not the least), I loved the RamKing couple in this episode. My most favorite scene in the episode was that flower crown scene by the waterfall. That was so sweet of Ram to make it. Ram is also showing much affection to King, with the former taking care of the latter despite his injury and fever. I really felt hurt and disappointed (and I'm sure all of the audiences are) when King shunned the embrace of Ram in the tent which was supposed to make him warm. To add to that sad scene, King did not want Ram to take care of him the next day so that he could spend it with his friends. Awww. I think King was just being polite and not to bother Ram anymore. But I guess King kinda redeemed himself when he was giving relationship advice to Bohn to be honest and confess to Duen about the kiss by Mai. (How about getting your relationship in order first King? haha)

My Engineer is turning out to better than 2gether. haha
I just hope they don't ruin it in the last episode. :-)

That being said, I think Bright was shortchanged as an actor in 2gether. Have you seen the trailer? IMO his acting was better in that one compared to what we actually had in the series. He has potential as a good actor. Not just the usual glare and squint expressions. haha

Just done watching this on YT. Damn! This looks promising.

Even though it had this "indie" feel production-wise, the dialogue was actually good and I especially liked the character Gav (props to Kokoy's acting). On the other hand, while Cai is cute in his simple way, Elijah's acting needs some improvement. I thinks his facial expressions during the video call tend to be monotonous (next time more emotions please!).

As stated in the series details here in MDL, Gameboys is going to have 10 episodes. I have no problem with a fast-paced series but I am just curious with the overall progress of the series plot. I've watched hundreds or so dramas already, and usually the first episode of a new series usually starts with the character exposition and the "getting to know you" phase of the leads. But in this series, the characters jump from personal introduction to a video-call coupled with full-blown teasing and courting proposition in just a span of 10 minutes. And that's just the first episode. if that is how the writer and the director wanna do, then so be it. I just hope that it would have more plot development in the remaining 9 episodes and that the GavCai ship will be fully realized as the series goes on such that their chemistry would last until the last episode.

Also, someone please make a nice theme song for this series! We have tons of good songwriters and singers in the Philippines. We are not short in talent. We can do this! :-D

In any case, I hope that the production team would invest more in the upcoming episodes especially when the characters would inevitably meet in person or in any scene to be done outside the house of the main characters. Just a suggestion, if they have some financial concerns, maybe they could do crowdsourcing if they want others to contribute even the audience themselves. I for one, would gladly contribute thousands of pesos for this worthy endeavor.

Overall, it was a good start! To IdeaFirst - congrats and keep up the good work.

So, do I Pass or Play? Definitely, it's a one big PLAY for me. :-D

P.S. This early on, I am saying to the team behind Gameboys - don't do a "2gether" type of ending for us. Please lang. Kundi uulanin kayo ng sangkatutak na batikos. Baka ma high-five din mukha ninyo kung ganon. haha
