I agree, Surprising part is very rarely i am dissonant with most popular shows among mass, If most people like it , i guaranteed to love it , this is not the case here. i would not agree its because of teen drama i couldnt connect, i would name several teen dramas that sweeped me with love themes or fantasy ones. I am one who easily get swayed on theme like this and i very rarely rate low for any tv show , even the ones that are in 7.0 + ratings on MDL have one of my most cherished dramas.
You take two of my most favorite and exciting trope (Time Travel & Romance) Give me a hope of i am gonna watch it one of the best of the year series with 9+ rating on MDL Deliver a flat out boring , super cringe and uninteresting screenplay in a most illogical way possible With a weakest premise and motivations for characters you got yourself a perfect (Gloomiest Watermelon). Thank you for wasting my 10+ hours of my life.
yeah i agree. its have same fate with "The Wind Blows" the last episode should be summaries
i watched first episode of wind blows a while ago and couldnt go on , not sure how i felt at that time. but the plot theme is the one drew me in . Anyways will have to give it a try again.
Yes it would have been better if they would have just focused on the Teenage aspect of the storyline and a love…
i might be overthinking and sense a sarcasm in your tone, Anyways, My point is that there is a great potential to feed the intelligence of the viewers to not overbeating us with the flashbacks, The unspoken and untold story is more powerful and drives a deeper meaning left to the imagination of the audience . And yes the school story was more interesting anyways .
I wish they hadnt expand on to the backstories and branching into flashbacks with several episodes long. It would have been awesome to left it as enigmatic as early episodes or could have gave only hints of what happened in the past would have worked very well. Instead they went of an tangent of spoon feeding the flashbacks which ended up really boring for most parts. They could have only focused on kids stories like in Revenge of the others or weak Hero class. This is clearly a 8.5ish and not at all worthy of 9.1
The childhood meeting trope annoys a lot of non Korean ppl that watch their dramas. I get it XD but there is a…
There is nothing more romantic than a well executed childhood connections. Thats so much sweeter, even if its dark past , like in its okay not be okay, come and hug me, missing you etc; to name a few
The First 10 or so episodes are done phenomenally, it evokes so much emotion and had me crying a lot. The child actors are fantastic and as hard as it is to pull through i wish the adults carried over the young actor's traits , but i couldnt see that in them. The lead's story is the one made me stick to the drama around 40 episodes , after that it got down right boring. I pushed myself to kept watching till episode 60 hoping it turn out good , sadly none of the side stories were interesting which made the drama so skippable. I was frustrated and started skipping every 10 episodes of the 60th to no surprise i have not felt i missed anything at all when i went from 70 to 80 to 90 to 100 till 132. As a silver lining the last's episodes last scene got me on emotional tears, where all of them back to their childhood home with kids of their home and playing with spraying water just like in the beginning episodes made me choke a little . I had high hopes on this drama as it was portrayed one of the best in the long format dramas, But this does not come close to "My only one", "I have a lover", "My golden life" .
ITs very therapeutic, The ending episodes got little boring. Its definitely worth the watch . The beginning episodes were done so well, the chemistry oozes out like a fresh spring.
It was good till around 12 episodes and got extremely boring after that. the hotel politics had no tension build up had they picked a better core plot around romance or atleast tighten up the writing it would have been the one i cherish the the most. Atleast had they chopped it to 12 episodes would have been far better. THe Leads looks gorgeous on screen and the earlier bickering and teasings before they become couple had me keep smiling and nervously laughing which i enjoyed the most. The production value is stellar down to the consume to location and best of all the lighting and camera work. The Grandma chemistry with the boyfriend is fantastic writing, you could feel there is so much she is saying with her actions than her words . Sadly it turned out below average at the time. I would still recommend anyone to watch it atleast 12 episodes and be done with it.
