I have a lover was one of the very few 50 episodes shows done right. It kept me engaged through out and only 50 episode drama , i consider watching more than once.

The movie can be of anything the director envisioned it to be. i am not harping on that. This is my personal feeling about this movie. I get there are so many folks liking it and i just stated i am not one of them.
i could not find a single likable character that i could root for in the movie.
There is zero logic in how events are unfolding and reasons they are giving,
Usually i am far more liberal and forgiving to the misgivings and mistakes in movie or drama as long as i could emotionally connect with it.
Most of my favorite drama/movies are the one with heartbreaking and sad endings. eventhough i despise sad endings in movies.
Of all the terrible things happened in the movie i was ready to put up with , but it had to end the way it did has really made me furious which was the result of the above comment.
on retrospect, it might have to do with the fact that i have not watched movie for 2 years all my time watching korean dramas that usually of 16 episodes which takes good breathing time on character development and arc which has higher chance of having us invested emotionally in characters.

This is one among the thousand stupidity i saw in this movie. There is absolutely no reason to kill the wife . He is a doctor with well off family. The stupid lame reason they hinted was that entire country was in financial crisis in 90s in the news. But thats absolute garbage. Considering their house and his job.

i would go as far as i would say below average, 6/10. Not sure why this hype and rating for this movie. this doesnt deserve it at all

This is a complete garbage movie. What's the point of the movie. Its a useless, needless and easily forgetful movie that i watched. What's the point of the guy who was the only member of the family did what he did at the end by opening the window? Has the other guy not paid for what he did over the years he lost being in the altered psychological state. This doesn't give closure or justice or satisfaction to viewer or the characters.
May be i am bashing this because my friends have given much hype about this movie, But this is not worth this rating at all.
There are so much other stupid plot holes and unconvincing scenes , i could only say it in spoilers.

Thank you , will watch this one for sure. i love and pretty much watched all park ming young shows , this popular show alone i left it. Now that get insights that this will be a good one. i will save it for a special day to watch :-)

i had to drop "her private life" with in the first few episodes, couldn't take the arrogant, rude and extremely irritating ML.

That wouldn't be right for the story, No romance scene shown between the cop and Hye

He has to take fall for some other guy and go to prison , so he broke up with her and asked her to abort the baby. She at the last moment changed her decision and decided to keep the baby . The hardship she had gone through with the child who was sick and the mom who had barely anything to live on was heartbreaking and makes it even more tragic that he loved her all his heart and broken up with her thinking he is not worthy of her , and was not aware of all hardship she is going through.
After 8 years she is engaged to be married to a cop and ex boyfriend is on the run after being framed for a murder which he did not commit by the same guy he took the fall and went to prision , and being chased by that same cop who is the fiancee of his ex..
This is a excellent story in and of itself to be explored that i would watch it in a heartbeat.
However , Sadly this is more of a premise for the main story that within two weeks the ML needs to go back to his daugher to save her.
Anyways she broke up with her fiance in the end and leans more towards her ex-boyfriend after he saved the kid. He also told that he would come back and visit the kid and her after he goes to someplace for a while. Which was strongly hinted that they are gonna get back together.

Its a open ending. The main leads dont get together but there is an hint they might be.

Cmon, they could have done 8 episodes as the previous ones.

i am watching it just for the reassurance of the romance comment.

Pretty much the bad people kept winning till the end and then THE END. thats what this show seems to be. Its unsatisfying feel after watching it.
That music director has no sense of music, 90percent of the time nonsequiteur, over dramatic music kept playing which makes scenes feels completely odd with music.
ML did not impress much , his expressions arent great same as his other work my only one.
Its just that so many cruel , unjust things have happened and in the end the revenge is not at all satisfying.

Last 3 episodes lag a bit , But its good watch , theme had the potential to be more than what it ended up being was, but we could watch it once for the fun of it.

Fantastic drama, so many tangled up innuendo going on. Climax felt unsatisfied and no real romance blossomed or kiss taking place was a downer. I mean as long as we are the realm of magic it could have ended with more happier note.

well yeah, but the level of stupidity in this drama and with rating this high is personally unprecedented for me. Even a mind numbingly bad drama would have some character that i could connect with and root for. This one fails at that as well
