This is my first and only adaptation of this drama and I just want to ask are the characters meant to be stupid with no sense of self preservation? Or was that deliberately done so the story can happen? And the biggest idiot of all is Yang jian. You'd think the would learn from the first time he didn't listen to his master and caused the suffering of thise close to him and death of his master he would listen to him the second time when he was told NOT TO DO SOMETHING. But no he just goes ahead and do it? And now countless are going to die cuz he couldn't stop himself from stalking? Are you kidding? HE is the one who is to save the world? He is still selfish, impulsive and all round jerk. I'm in ep 59 and he hasn't grown up. Like at all? And the plot holes? I saw Su daji using magic and it wasn't explained how she new that? No where did they show that she learned it. And geez from the title id think it would involve more gods, or at least more wold building on the gods side. Am I going to finish it? Yes, I've already invested much of my life hrs on this but wow. I'm going to need a bit of self editing to get through this. The overall plot is wonderful. But the the writing, characters and execution is something to be desired.
Sadly, 2-3 yrs is the average start delay for most of these 50+ episode dramas. There are a lot more dramas than…
Wait don't they have contract with stations so that they can air them? It seems like a waste that there might be amazing dramas just sitting on shelves. What about streaming platforms?
If they planned to have a sequel did they need all those episodes? A lot of scenes should have been cut which were not integral to the story and really didn't help much. And it seams plans for a sequel fell through? Why just why end with that cliffhanger?
I have this drama as on hold but in truth it's btn that and dropped. Will see if I can finish it 3 months. The beginning was cool, reasonable pace but then it got draggy? And no hate on the female lead but girl.........Or should I put this squarely on the director? cuz I've seen rookie actors do amazing work. The chemistry btn the main leads was flatter than a chapati(roti). And the plot..."deep sigh" So was highly anticipating but slightly (majorly) disappoint.
3 episodes in and I'm pretty sure I've seen this plot in The Rise of Phoenixes. Now, I know chinese dramas/author…
Over all was enjoyable but there were some scene where I felt like I was having dejavu. I was like wait haven't I seen this before? What made me finish the drama was the characters character arch and the acting.
Loved her in legend of Minglan. Haven't seen princess agent heard there is cliff hanger. Might not start until confirmation of second season of might just watch it for this queen. Watching noble aspirations currently.
This was just recommended to me. It's Chinese - I usually stay away from Chinese dramas because I've never had…
Yes a happy one. Also the cop character (acted by wang kai) has a you could say spin off? It's called when a snail falls in love. Also a wonderful watch.
Finished watching it now suffering from withdrawal. Started with no expectations. Didn't know any of the actors but finished with a frustrated smile on my face and wanting a second season fast. It's an amazing hidden gem. Beautifully shot, amazing characters, wonderful chemistry and character dynamics, easy enough plot with a couple of twist. All in all an enjoyable watch.
I don't think that after she came back she was still the old childish JinMi. In my opinion she changed a lot,…
Her caring for other ppl wasn't the problem for me. This is of course a personal opinion but I felt they infantilized her. The seal was on her powers not her brain capacity. And if you follow the time line she and the male leads were not that far apart in age. But she was the one who was written as a child while the men were mature. She felt like a child who had not developed and having to grown men go after her just wasn't right with me. Again its my opinion. I see most cdramas write their female characters this way its just this was the worst for me.
Ppl love this drama. They absolutely love this. But I dropped it after 36 episodes. How they wrote the female lead was very frustrating for me. Was able to keep until the reached the human world. But when they came back to the heaven realm again and Jin mi was back again to the 5 yr old in a grown up body was the end for me. I couldn't take it. There was a seal on her powers for heaven sakes not her brain.
