I enjoy the ways things are laid out personally. I am tired of kdrama that has 10 supporting characters 9 of them…
I think a lot of people just really dislike what Yeung guk did to hwa Jeong.
But the writers don't write based on fan favorites s. Jeong guk was importent for hwa brings happiness because they won't allow the LGBTQ route. And with hwa jeongs cold and tough demeanor, it would be hard to realistically find another guy who would be ok with it.
One thing which annoys me a bit is , I rewatched ep 14 and I found the entire middle part for 20-30 mins dushik…
I enjoy the ways things are laid out personally. I am tired of kdrama that has 10 supporting characters 9 of them I can barely remember their names nor their backstory. And often. These side stories end up as plot holes.
By giving the side characters so much berth, it enrichened the story of the main couple so much more. It made the village of gongjin much more inviting, as as I said before, it made it so that if Hye Jin decides to permanently stay in gongjin it makes so much sense due to the bonds she has made with each and every one of the villagers.
This is one of the very few dramas to use supporting characters for their original intention of supporting the main couple storylines.
This show has a terrific ensemble cast with even Baeksand winner amongst them, so no it is not just KSH who is…
It's all kind of intended.
You see Hye Jin has always been a planner. She probably had already planned how her wedding would look, make a bucket list for her bf, and a hundred other scenarios.
Shes following what she feels a relationship should be and look like.
Dusik on the other hand has had his walls up since day 1. In fact even when they were lovey dovey, he still had them up.
It's not surprising that it's always Hye Jin opening herself up like a book, while dusik keeps mum about it.
And eventually Hye Jin notices how their relationship seems very one sided.
I agree with this. Let's talk for example the show When the Camellia Bloom. Since the suspense plot was intertwined…
Yup. In fact, if they had introduced his tragic backstory earlier, we would be so questioning of his actions towards Hye Jin as being forced/fake, and his actions would feel less genuine.
There would be serious doubt being called towards his charcterization.
But now, I also feel, after his trauma is sorted out, he should NOT go back to being village chief or doing random jobs. As that was his shield. He worked himself to the bone every day to numb himself from his trauma.
My Theory. The story choose a financial company as Dusik's "Desk Job"
Which means that Dusik and his Hyung may have made bad investments, and some angry investors rushed the building, and the security guard got hurt in the process.
When Dusik and the Hyung tried to get out, some angry investor ran their car over.
"Knives aren't the only way to stab people. It's impossible to recover when you stab people with words. It stays…
I wonder if the reason he does all these part time jobs is so that he won't feel what he has felt before.
Because he used to work in just one company before with his Hyung and the Security guard. He built bonds with them, and in the end, they suffered from it.
At least with part time jobs, he never really develops the same bonds, he is working alone, and no one can blame the part-timer...
It's such a real reaction though... it happens in real life. And people get scarred from these words... unfortunately,…
Oh absolutely. Mental health and issues is such a big thing these days. And homecha just goes to prove that mental illness has many different faces, which include smiling ones.
Now they are expecting her to be grizzled veteran who knows how to handle every relationship hurdle masterfully.
But I am afraid your right, that most people don't want to see flaws in dusik.at this point.
Would make for interesting character development and add more layers to dusik, not that he needs more complexity.
For what homecha is trying to achieve,20 would have been perfect.
I feel the writers were apprehensive to do it given the plot is very simple. They are afraid people may feel draggy.
Little did they know they struck goldmine with their casting and overall healing vibes.
But the writers don't write based on fan favorites s. Jeong guk was importent for hwa brings happiness because they won't allow the LGBTQ route. And with hwa jeongs cold and tough demeanor, it would be hard to realistically find another guy who would be ok with it.
Unintentionally hurting someone vs not being able to save someone are two different thing.
Intention or not, if he directly or indirectly caused it, I think it would make some people at the very least pause

How would people feel if dusik REALLY was responsible?
How would our perceptions change i wonder?

Technically anyone who has ever dated more than once ends up marrying their second, third and even sometimes 10th choice.
The order of the choices we make in love is no more than a number to detail when the choice is made.
And never underestimate the power of epiphanies. They come fast, and come strong, and when they do, it completely changes the way you see things.
So relatable.
