so now HJP not only "lost" SDM but also grandma???? ok im outreally this episode was def the confirmation I needed…
When Grandma says, she wants to give the letter to real Dosan so that SDM and NDS can be happy, my heart broke for HJP.
I am also considering dropping, as I feel the unfairness to HJP will just magnify more and more.
The writers will write that HJP is stopping true love between SDM and NDS from happening, and Grandma will stop him, and like a Good Boy, he will step aside...
Firstly, no hate to Nam Joo Hyuk, I honestly think he nailed the awkward and nerdy role. This had such great potential…
Sorry, I am finding it hard to even relate to NDS. All the "Bad" stuff happening to him is nothing compared to the actual bad stuff happening to HJP.
NDS doesn't appreciate his parents at all. Ugh, he is just getting more and more whiney.
I totally understand HJP, why does he always have to be the adult, why does he always have to be the one sacrificing. Hasn't he been sacrificing his whole life now?
This is not me hoping. But I'm just thinking all the sacrifices HJP's made would only make sense if he was to…
Sadistic writer?
It's exactly what you are saying will happen. Very predictably, SDM will maybe date HJP for half an episode or full episode, then realize she actually really loves NDS.
Or, they don't even bother with that, and just straight up kicks HJP to the curb. And notice what I didn't want happening is happening, they are slowly turning grandma against HJP...
People keep pointing out that the writers weren't expecting HJP's popularity but I can't fathom how they didn't…
I was a little annoyed at the first 40-50 mins or so of the episode. The whole time, they were painting HJP as a little petty child, a jerk even, while NDS is the cool, laid back, uber romantic stud.
But that 3-5 minute interaction between HJP and Grandma, that really made the episode worth watching, I could just ignore the rest of the episode and just focus on that part. I could feel myself in both Grandma's shoes and HJP shoes, it was heartwrenching.
lol, that's a wild theory. I think most likely someone that hasn't been introduced yet. My personal theory is…
Also plot twist!
We are led to believe that they are getting revenge on Sandbox, but what if that is a red herring, and they actually want to get revenge on WIJ.
Maybe WIJ did something to that man on the bridge who was the twins brother, and the twins decided to join in to get revenge on WIJ.
And since WIJ is partnering up with the bank, the twins could place some ransomware into the banks system demanding money, and WIJ will get blamed. Thus we see fall from grace...
I don't think people here gives him excuse though, but his background gives people more ground to understand him…
I totally see where you are going with this.
But the fact of the matter, the writer and director didn't do a good job to show these things.
I think a lot of this has to do with NDS facial expression. He doesn't look like a guy who let's people push him around. I really wish he had stuck to his original haircut and look after the lie about him being a hotshot was revealed. If nothing better, it would have shown that NDS went back to the old Dosan. Yes, I know NJH looks more handsome this way, but it's not doing him any favor relating to the majority of the audience. This new look just doesn't' scream helpless sheep at all.
I'm sure the writer wants to portray NDS being bullied, condescended by HJP, but it's just not coming off that way. In fact, the way it's written, it seems to be the opposite. Fail from the writer and director here IMO.
And as some had say, the writer's intention to let the audience fall in love, or empathize with NDS isn't working out too well. Something about the way he is written doesn't lend to this.

I mean come one, no need to trash WIJ to make SDM look better. Write better script please!
So your saying, a show where the man is a misogynist should be ignored because he is ML? That is some interesting logic there.
When the dad found out the truth, and just walks away. Wow, I could feel exactly what the dad was feeling.

But that ONE HJP and Grandma scene near the end, DEFINED this series. The complexity, depth, and pain of Grandma and HJP relationship is so powerful.
NDS is so entitled...

The End.
