I think it's slightly implied here that LG cheated, and didn't come back when he was supposed to.The story is…
I'm glad you brought this up.
In the earlier episode, I forget which episode, there is implications that time in ROK and ROC don't match up. I forget which parallel world is slower.
Yet midway thru KTEM, they just forget this aspect.
What little rules of time travel the show creates, it just breaks in the last few episodes. Utter stupidity by the whos, and insulting to the intelligence of any viewer who watched it.
A plot-hole I hadn't seen, among many others. It would be worth making a list of all the plot-holes, they are numerous…
Finding all the plot holes in KTEM is a full time job, lol!
I find a lot of inconsistencies in the drama could have benefited from split screens.
I'm tired of shows that has a road runner/wile coyote vibe. Where the heroes can do no wrong, and the villains are dummies. Watching these shows, you know the hero always wins.
Also much of the problem is KTEM is that the deaths in the show is supposed toserve an important aspect to the viewers experience. So just bringing all the dead back to life is erases that experience. Death in KTEM loses it's impact, because as we know, nobody will die as long as LG has the whip.
Oh Lady Noh got hit by a truck? No problem, let me grab the flute, throw a baseball at her, and VOILA, she is alive again!
Don't forget the monarchy is abolished since no heirs. And because of LG, Sejin also died. It's not discussed but…
Wait Seo Ji hye is underrated? I think she's quite amazing, and get's the acknowledgement. She's up there with Yoon in Na on my list of the best second leads in most dramas.
LR was shot in the leg in episode 15. I'm sure TE would know how to take advantage of that wound. Also, TE took…
there was 48 hours to heal the wound, it was not a fresh wound, and the bullet would have been removed, and the bullet hole sealed up, otherwise LR would already have died from blood loss. He doesn't even lean to one side. The wound obviously doesn't bother him
If you notice how LR walk, this not how someone who was shot in the leg walks. He walks normally.
Also, we don't know the distance needed to travel to the other portal, for all we know it's a short walk.
Fact of the matter is, he knew the gun wouldn't work. The gun was meant as a way to keep him from escaping, thus TE was holding it the whole time.
The thing is LR actually attempts to attack TE and kill her, so obviously he could have done so at any time.
It's a PLOT HOLE the size of Texas.
P.S.
If you want another in depth analysis. He get's shot in the left leg in Ep 15, In EP 16, as he is about to attack TE, he lunges forward his left shoulder leads, and you know which leg he lunges forward with? Based on his movement, the first step he takes is, you guess it, the left foot.
Why don't you try lunging forward with your left shoulder using your right foot, and see if it's physically possible. You would lose balance almost immediaely.
Just admit, the writers missed this one, and left a big giant gaping plot hole.
Don't forget the monarchy is abolished since no heirs. And because of LG, Sejin also died. It's not discussed but…
I'm a firm believer, if LMH did not look as handsome as he does, he would have less fans. Agreed, the king looks fits LMH well, I would have a hard time imagining LMH as a poor person, or salaryman considering the number of times he is portrayed as Chaebol/King.
Same, I actually thought he would take over Ji Hun's life, since we are not invested in Ji hun at all.
I actually like the concept of LG abdicating, and the monarchy being abolished. They could have shown this.
YES! Jung Eun Chae is life! She has a main lead in The Guest, I haven't watched it because it's scary, but i've heard only great things about her role in it.
Her acting I found so powerful, I was invested in her character since day 1. Which is why EP 16 really irked me, and ep 11 and above also, since they butchered her grey character, and painter her extremely black. What a waste of an excellent actress.
The PM's limited scene, especially with her adorable mom, made me feel more emotions than LG and TE ever did.
When TE and LR went into the time space world. LR could have easily gone to the night of the coup as well, sure he was handcuffed, but his feet was working, and he KNEW TE's gun would not work, he even says it to TE. So TE posed no threat to LR, and lest we forget LR was holding the flute, all he had to do was go to the portal to the coup.
This realization has made me hate the ending even more. So basically LR had all the tools to foil LG plan. Because TE did not know that guns don't work in time space world, only SJ, LG and JY knew. So it would make sense that she thought pointing the gun at LR would be enough to subdue him. But the second they enter the time space world, LR should have just bolted into the night of the Coup, not like TE could stop him since her gun doesn't work. LR could have gone there, and instead of meeting himself, go straight and kill baby LG. Plus, as an added bonus TE is now stuck in time space world.
But instead, he just stands there, mocking TE, and waits for her and LG to kill both versions of him. This stupidity by LR is really giving me a hard time. Even Wile E. Coyote was smarter than this, and he always lost.
In the end arrogance was his undoing. AGAIN. He must have confidently thought his past self would kill LG, this villain isn't very smart.
I would like to reiterate, worst villain ever.
Please, someone out there, refute this statement, tell me why LR could not have done what I just said? I really want to see a logical explanation why he could not have done what I said. Even some weak argument, so I can finally put KTEM to rest lol.
Idk if I missed something in the scene/ didn't interpret it correctly but when Jo Young spotted Lee Gon and Jang…
I think it's slightly implied here that LG cheated, and didn't come back when he was supposed to.
The story is that every weekend, LG is in the study, doing math. So the royal guard should not have been worried. The fact they are searching for LG, must mean that during TE and LG's excursion, they spent a longer time than the weekend, and may have been missing for a week for all we know.
That is why JY is searching for him.
JY recognizes TE, but must show the guards he didn't. That is why on the SECAM, he is voicing his frustration, that this whole time LG was just having fun with TE, once again showing LG neglecting his role.
LMH is a model not am actor.I bet he doesnt even know what acting looks like tbh.Btw you can watch goblin.everything…
Yes, I just absolutely adore Gong Yoo, he is twice the actor LMH is. Just a masterful actor who has a wide range. And yes Goblin was one of his best role, and no offence to JY and ES, but Reaper and Kim shin is all time best bromance.
Don't forget the monarchy is abolished since no heirs. And because of LG, Sejin also died. It's not discussed but…
Nah, that is just a rule they made up in EP 16. There is zero indication this rule existed in the first 1-15 episodes.
Let us look at the facts. LG and TE says, we can't live in ROK or KOC because dopplegangers live there.
Shinjae and Hyeong min lived 25 years on ROK. And no, being a vegetable and dying are not the same, otherwise Hyeong min would have a scar. This was a real head scratcher.
TE and Luna exist in ROK for a longer time as well. They also coexisted in KOC for some time as well.
ES and JY also coexisted in ROK for some time. BTW, this is the reason JY doesn't visit ES, because of this supposed doppleganger rule that they invented in EP 16.
Like I said, it was a very convenient plot device to force a bitter/open ended ending. Rather than showing us that type of ending, I felt that specific plot device seemed quite insulting to the audience, as there was no real buildup towards it AT ALL. Plus given TE and LG demeanor, it seem almost like a joke, I don't know if this is because of the acting or not.
A more proper way, would have to at least shown, some sort of longing, or some sort of sadness whenever they had to go back to their own worlds. But instead they act like, "See you later bro!, I'm outtie". Really disappointing ending overall.
The only thing I can consider is that TE and LG are afraid that Luna and Ji hun are villains and will kill them and replace them. That's like the only logical explanation I can think about. But EP 16 shows that luna and Ji hun became good people. So yeah, plot hole.
By the way, this reminds me of another plot hole, for some reason, earlier in the show, they was implying time spent in ROK moves faster/slower than KOC, then they just abandoned this rule, somewhere in the middle.
Can you explain why they cannot share a world? Luna and teThe show does not explain.
SJ and Hyeong Min were in Korea for 25 years.
TE and Luna spent quite a bit of time in Korea at the same time.
JY and ES as well.
The show dealt with these things for the first 15 episodes, with no ramifications. Then suddenly in EP 16, it's not possible?
Also, the show in EP 16 implies they are only hiding TE from the people from the royal palace. It appeared almost like a Chaebol Heir hiding his mistress/GF from the company as not to cause a scandal, rather than setting a world balance.
Despite the problem of scenario and logic and editing, this drama was a good opportunity at least for two actors:…
Here is hoping for more ML roles for Jung Eun Chae, I thought her portrayal in KTEM was very convincing. And the only thing stopping her from being a fan favorite was the ineffective writing.
In the earlier episode, I forget which episode, there is implications that time in ROK and ROC don't match up. I forget which parallel world is slower.
Yet midway thru KTEM, they just forget this aspect.

How is dinner mates? any good?

I rest my case.

Get a new writer, new production, new everything.
Also change the story as if Season 1 was just a dream
Then i'd watch it.

He is just so so so monotone, like is he like this in his other shows? This is my first LMH drama, so I'm wondering.
Let us look at the facts. LG and TE says, we can't live in ROK or KOC because dopplegangers live there.

And no, this rule was never set. It was just Nari cryptically saying "You can't have two in one universe, one must die"
Unless i'm mistaken, please quote episode number and Minute mark where they explicitly say there can not be two people in the same world.
TE and Luna spent quite a bit of time in Korea at the same time.
JY and ES as well.
