I mean, if I was to make a post of all the plot holes in EP 16...

Just another one for fun, secretary mo, who looks as old as prince buyeong or lady noh, has a 5 year old child. I didn't even know seceretary was a plot hole that needed to be filled.

Oh lord.

he is the flute. When the flute became whole, he regained his powers.
No, he is debating whether he should let LMH, JY and TE retain their memories. He doesn't have the power to break the flute himself.

Basically, yoyo boy just decides to ignore every rule about the flute up to this point, because he shipped LG and TE.

Just to let you know. When LG kills LR, the flute is already stained with LR blood, LG should not have been able to touch, much less use the flute.

But who cares about logic right?

happy ending ?
I've never seen a drama forced so many happy endings. But yes all the endings are happy, even the filler characters get happy endings.

All the heroes win, all the villains lose.

There is no happier ending.

Not in my wildest dream I dreamt about a ending this satisfactory! Honestly I was worried sick about the ending.…
The ending, left a lot of plot holes in it's wake you know. A lot of question remained unanswered.

So it finally ended and we realised that Lee Rim was absolutely useless just like the entire script.
This EP really annoyed me, anything unique, anything special, anything good the writer could have done for the ending, she just ignored.

I found most of the logic they used to explain the ending and many of the different aspects were not logical. Very forced episode.

No the ending doesn't match any logic. It was a forced bittersweet ending. Very forced, and the reasons for it, don't make sense.

It wasn't open, it was supposed to be bitersweet. The ending is almost exactly like Goblin.

Geez, KES really needs to stop rehashing her endings.

So ... am I the only one who wished for a more bittersweet ending? Itjust did not make sense for some characters…
It was bittersweet. It is heavily implied that LG and TE can never marry or have kids.

Only 3 characters kept their memories JY, LG and TE.

I mean there is a HUGE plothole that renders the whole of EP 16 impossible.

Terrible. Almost a complete waste of time. Too many flaws to count. Many characters not used to full potential.…
Don't get me started on the plot holes, there are too many to list.

I hate these kind of endings the most.

Ok, everyone, let me summarize the last episode for you in seven powerful words.

BIll and Ted's Great Adventure.

Sorry, I Mean

LG and TE's Great Adventure

EP 16 is by far, by far the worst of the 16 episodes.

if you love LMH, one bad show won't stop that love.

Eh don't be sad, many actors/actress can't hit them all out of the park consistently, most have at least 1-2 poorly reviewed Dramas in their resume. This is just LMH 3rd one.

TBH even with all that going on the only reason it feels like too much is cause of how it's written. If the doppelganger…
I think KES wrote this drama with one central theme. A RESET button. When life gets hard, don't worry, we can just either switch with a parallel world, where you are Richer, your Son is alive, and etc... A parallel world, where no matter how heinious the crime, you can just escape there where no one will know you. Hate your fate? no problem, just rewrite your destiny.

The whole point of the doppleganger and parallel world is to show the viewers that, when times get tough, don't worry you can enter into another parallel world

I'm not surprised that this is the central message of KTEM, because in goblin, this same message is pervalent in the concept of multiple lives, four to be exact. In Goblin, viewers are made to believe that, don't worry no matter how much you screw up your life, no matter how bad you are to your wife, you can just get reincarnated, four times even.

I really think, that was the whole purpose of the parallel world, and it sends a bad message to viewers.

I guess that's the fantasy that KES is perpertrating, that we all dream to be able to just press that RESET button and escape and start a new life in a different world.

There are certain passages where Lee Gon's own qualities are emphasized. When he thinks about and finds solutions…
I think in the end, the writer, director and producer of the show underestimate their viewers.

They felt having KES, and LMH superteam would guarantee success of the show.

And this is where I feel US produced show are more succesful than eastern dramas. No matter the topic, whether it's law, medical, video game, time travel, science related, math and etc... They do the homework. Even if the majority of the viewing public aren't scientist or mensa grads, they do the homework, because they assume that most of their viewers will be critical, will fact check, will use google.

KTEM just fails to respect the viewers, just randomly throwing out theory of relativity, eulers, mathematical terms, in the hope that nobody bothers to check All of this is done to make LG seems smarter than he really is.

Just realized, even if TE and JY dies on the night of the coup. They will still not die, because their past selves are still alive.

ie. just like past LR and Future LR

The only one who can truly die here is LG and LR.

What silly logic. So all that drama about the one going with LR will die was moot. And all the scenes in the trailer showing bloody JY is poinltess.

Also another thing I realize, which has upset me. When this version of LR dies, his flute will also disappear, which means, LG, TE, and JY will all be stuck in the past. Also since the flute is no longer whole in any timeline, LG's flute should also disappear. Will this be explained in EP 16, or will this just be a plot hole?

How disappointing, i just figured this out. Kind of anti climatic.

P.S.

I'm really really hoping the ending isn't that. LR never goes to KOR, then LG, TE and JY all waits in the time space world for four months, only to come out and merge with Ji hun and TE, with LG taking over Ji Hun spot. lol
