I find it weird there is even interfandom war, aren't they on the same side?

I know almost nothing about BTS except for them winning lots of awards.

And I only found out now that there is controversy with jisoo and BP fans.

Why can't blinks leave the rumor mill and controversies out instead of spreading it.

I don't want to research more on the controversy as I am sure it's a toxic rabbit hole.

When I was going thru some blackpink vs BTS twitter war it was getting insane.

Since then I don't go to Kpop twitter anymore.

super fans can get too invested, and end up attacking other people.

Like personal attacks and worse things.

Zealotry is a heck of a drug.

I think it's being built that way. With so many episodes to go, it would be too early to do it.

It's just like those anime, when the bad guy gets a late redemption arc.

I would welcome it.

If you just watch it as your standard Kdrama rom-com under a political backdrop, it's not that bad at all.

Social outrage, toxic relationship, unhealthy messages aside...

Love can bloom and grow in the weirdest place.

She's a complex character, and has more depth than the other characters. Her duality allows her to go in either direction.

Boon Ok has shown pretty solid character growth past few episodes.

But the writing may feel that it is necessary to make Boon Ok a villain again, for whatever reason.

So it's plausible that they will cater to Boon Ok's sense of self-preservation and have her rat out the students. Then probably give her have a late stage redemption arc in the last few episodes.

Like I'm a huge Gong Hyo Jin fan, but if people criticize her or her dramas, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, I might even agree with some of the criticism.

Maybe she didn't want to be pigeonholed.

But for me, the plot is already not giving us any sort of suspense. Like there have been ZERO ramifications for any of the actions. So it's really hard to imagine the feelings that they are suppose to be imparting, it all feels disingenuous.

Jisoo and JHI should both have lent more into the satirical nonsense the way Kang Moo is doing, but because they are both trying to be super serious, there is that HUGE disconnect.

Then there is Jisoo's lack of character consistency, where she seems to be acting a different character every few episodes or so. The character development has just felt lacking not just for Young Ro, but the other characters as well.

Snowdrop when viewed through a critical lens, has a lot of things wrong with hit.

But as a rom-com, it's not bad, just Makjangish.

It seems like they wanted to start her acting career with a bang, so I can understand why they made that choice.

I feel though, with so many veteran actors on site, she is getting outshined in certain points of the drama.

I've said since day 1, I don't plan to be overly harsh with Jisoo, since it's her first drama.

But I shall not, and will not walk on eggshells to appease her fans.

Anyway, I am not here to pick a fight.

It seems a lot of your reaction to my comment has to do with your personal bias with the way I write, and my opinions. You already painted me a certain way, and you are letting that color your opinions. It is what it is.

I've always heard about crazy Kdrama fans, but you and other Blink fans seems pretty level headed, and so I wanted to understand Kpop, specifically BTS and Blackpink a little bit more.

I purposely avoided twitter, because I don't want to even read all the toxic comments over there.

I actually enjoy Blackpink's music and the personality of the different members. But honestly, if being a fan means I can't even say anything remotely seen as criticism, maybe it's just not worth it.

It's a HUGE turn off, and I have never walked on egg shells for my ideas and opinions, and I am not going to start now.

Personally, I feel disengaged with her character until now. I feel she needs more faces and expression.

But yes, better than first 2 episodes.

For a rookie actress she's not doing that bad, but I'm not going to exaggerate and proclaim her best Kdrama actress like some of her fans are doing.

Fyi being a fan of an actress or actor should also mean you are able to take criticism.

MDL has always been a platform for majority and minority views to co-exist, when did that change?

No you felt, I insulted Jisoo somehow or attacked her fan and your taking action because of your hardcore loyalty to Jisoo.

That's all it really is.

Just to let you know. It may not have been your intention but you are shining a light on a controversy not everyone knows about.

Even I didn't know what you are talking about until I googled it. And that controversy is already being talked all over twitter.

And in all my history on MDL, I never censor people. So sorry of that's what you felt. It's not my intention.
