He is not. He is doing all this so their parties candidate will win.And since he helped all of this, hopefully…
Except politics in South Korea doesn't work this way, especially for this particular historical timeline.
Even ignoring what actually happens in real history.
This current regime is being portrayed as evil. And it's hard pressed to believe that the oppressed south koreans who will have their first FAIR democratic elections in 1987, will then re-elect the same party, not just once, but twice, over some sort of nationalistic act.
After 7 years of oppressive governance, the SK's are really going to go through another 10 years in total, just because they are angry at NK? They've been angry at NK for at this point close to 40 years. Even now, they are still angry at NK in 2021, doesn't mean they are going to vote in a military leader because of it.
those short moments when ISH heaved a sigh of relief after finding EYR first plus the knocking code thing, okay…
I think the show has established that Kang Moo is kind of an idiot. So nothing he does really surprises me.
30 hostages were released, so it's fair to assume that those hostages weren't killed so Kang Moo was less worried.
Young Ro is seen as the only important hostage from the NK point of view. So by hiding her, Kang Moo correctly assumed that Soo Ho and possibly Gyeok Chan would go looking for her. It basically takes away the trump card of the NK's. Which allows them set the remaining events that happened.
After watching the Boon Ok scene. I actually think Boon Ok doesn't like Gyeok Chan, but knows he is sympathetic to her. And she seems to be testing how much she can make him do.
So she is manipulating him to get access to power.
Whether or not soo ho becomes an anti hero. The romance between the two leads seemed a bit hard to swallow. We…
Lol, seems like we share the same taste and distaste :)
I always try to review dramas fairly, and I rarely allow visuals to bias my reviews. Writing, plot consistencies, acting, and pacing are always my big factors in reviewing.
Was the satire in Sky castle borderline slapstick comedy as it is in Snowdrop?

Well Jisoo is quite popular so I am not surprised. I've been in MDL long enough no matter how bad a show is, there will always be fans of it.
Start Up writing is even worse than Snowdrop. It was a huge mess. I also don't understand how people called it a masterpiece. Same for TKEM.
I really think if the writer had just made everyone satirical, and didn't pick and choose who makes fun of themselves, it would translate better. The writer is so afraid of making Soo Ho and Young Ro look like idiots, that their impassioned scenes are so out of place in the satirical mood the writer is "Trying" to create. At least Kang Moo and Hanna got the memo.
I don't think most people realized that the Dorm would be the whole plot.Even I was fooled into thinking there…
The writer is trying to portray to us that, this is the worst type of environment, a hostage situation with a huge power imbalance, and yet both ML and FL are still hot for each other.
And it's just not resonating with me. In such a life and death situation, your telling me love at first sight will trump self-preservation? It's a hard pill to swallow. Which is why the writing has reigned in pretty much all the danger, in hopes of salvaging the fledging romance.
The whole political bickering is suppose to represent the black satire the writer is trying to hammer in, but all I see is a lot of ham acting, and corny posturing, that does not count as political satire in my eyes. There is no parallelism or self-introspection.
I'm putting all my hopes in Cheong Ya being the one smart person in the drama, I hope they keep her smart and girl boss.

Controversy or not, they should have just dived deeper into having Soo Ho be part of the pro-democracy movement.
Seeing how a naive student like Young Ro, eventually becomes one of t he leading forces of the movement would be interesting, especially when she finds out one of the members is an actual spy.
That's a story worth telling.
A drama about incompetent and unfunny people is just really getting boring.
But maybe.
Snowdrop more so because of Jisoo

That doesn't make political sense.

Base on this pace I think Snowdrop may have a chance to reach 30k also.
But at least they showered, so that's good.

Love may blossom later though.

kind of anti-climatic if true.

See how Soo Ho doesn't even allow Kang Moo alone time with Hanna? That's just pure jealousy. I am all for it!

Might as well call it "Die Not as Hard"
My first time to be on the minority side. It's definitely a surreal experience!
