Hi there I enjoyed reading about your thoughts on todays episodes and there are points where I agree with you…
Someone explained that Hye roungs guy is a military student and not an actual soldier.

I am speaking more about their leadership aura, which is why I said nk officer.

Both have command, bit kung Sun ho doesn't seem to. Have that aura. In fact there is so much more respect for gang moo from his men from what I see.

8 can appreciate sun ho is trying to hide his North Korean tendencies, but even among his own people it's the same.

To see what I mean watch an episode of the Americans. Keri Russell as an American and when she's with her own kind, you see such a massive difference in body language, comfort, and aura.

Sun ho ok the other hand seems same no matter who he is speaking to.

Gwang tae is a sexual predator, the scene at the cafe made my skin crawl. Not surprised it's the 1980's, and even…
In episode 3, he kept taking Seoul huis hand even when she keeps pushing him away.

He keeps making unwanted advances on her.

It was beyond creepy.

she certainly has that innocence and naivety down pat.

I just wish her emotions and acting are more consistent. Like for example Hwa Reong is a bich, and she is consistently portraying one. Young Ro on the other hand, sometimes i see that young naïve college girls, other times I see a different character.

And I get it, it's hard to maintain the same characterization across so many days of filming. It's a skill she will have to develop to get viewers to more fully be invested in her characters.

2. i think she just owns so many shoes and boon ik has stolen multiple pairs. the flashback to the heels was probably…
2. That's a bit of a stretch, why not just make them sneakers at that time? I guess Nike had to get their PPL in there LOL! How much is the PPL for an empty box? Half price :)

3. It's possible, but then that brings up inconsistency with her character then... would make more sense to let them know she knows, and actively help them.

5. AFAIK from other spy movies I watched, that's normally not how it works. But yeah ANSP is pretty incompetent in this one. I mean Sun Ho was literally meters in front of ANSP agents, and they were literally gossiping.

ANSP are starting to look like one of the most incompetent spy agencies I've seen in movies.

From the previews, I have a feeling a majority of this drama will be filmed in the college. Must have cost a pretty penny to rent such a beautiful location that they are maximizing the usage.

You have my respect friend. I was almost half expecting you to personally attack me, and call me a hater and stuff. I've been getting those a lot lately.

People are so sensitive these days, they can't handle it if their favorites, or their drama get's a little bit of criticism.

I will keep an open mind, and continue to monitor the drama respectfully.

Gang Moo, and his team ignoring the Chief of ANSP kind of defeats the purpose. I think people wanted a completely…
I don't think it was just his colleagues, I think he was also implicit in them. Because in Ep. 3 he mentions, and when you would have "us" to do those things, which seem to imply Gang Moo was also guilty of the atrocities.

I think Gang Moo represents a change in the thinking of the ANSP, and that is why he is able to command his squad to be loyal to him, because he represents the new ANSP.

In fact, the only corrupt ANSP agents appear to be the chief, and the Director. All other ANSP agents appear to be doing their jobs of capturing NK spies.

Like, I can understand he has stuff on his mind, but compare Hyun Bin's portrayal of a NK officer, and compare Jung Hae In's portrayal of NK officer.

It's like night and day.

I am just not sold on his acting in this one, and yes the chemistry with Young Ro, is very one sided. And his face is so expressionless, is he like this in his other dramas?

It's normal for me to review, per episode. If time permits, I will do this for all 16 episodes. If I get busy in the new years, I may stop.

I don't know who Jung Hae In is, I explicitly stated that I haven't seen Jung Hae In other dramas, and made an observation based on this one.

Why can't I make an assessment on someone's acting based on 1 drama? Do I need to see their whole body of work to know so? I watched Lee Min Ho in ONE drama, and I assumed he was a bad actor, I didn't need to watch his whole body of work.

For being a leader of a squad of NK spies, jung hae in , just isnt' making me feel it. That is all. That may change, but as of now, I feel nothing. Sure he is handsome, but so is Lee Min Ho. In fairness Lee Min Ho is more bland.

Jisoo is improving greatly, she was especially great in the scene with her annoying step mother.
I felt she could have shown more emotion in that scene. That was one of the scenes I felt she was kind of one-toned.

I thought her face was much more natural when she was "dancing" with Sun ho.

Gang Moo, and his team ignoring the Chief of ANSP kind of defeats the purpose.

I think people wanted a completely evil depiction of ANSP, from top to bottom.

Showing Gang moo and his men directly disobeying orders, actually shows that the ANSP weren't all bad.

What rating? It was 3 something last week and it’s down to 1.9 today in South Korea. That’s actually really…
MDL ratings.

Also, if your talking about viewership ratings. It's Christmas, so don't expect much. Also don't expect very high ratings, because it's not even on Netflix. PLUS, it's on JTBC, not exactly the biggest cable station in comparison to TVN. 3-4% if I recall correctly is pretty standard for a JTBC drama.

8-10% is considered a runaway hit for JTBC standards.

Gwang tae is a sexual predator, the scene at the cafe made my skin crawl. Not surprised it's the 1980's, and even in modern 2021, South Korea has ridiculous double standard and discrimination against women.

gwangtae and bun ok should totally become a pair in the show lolll
Gwangtao is a manipulative sexual predator.

Boon Ok's actions are an effect of a lifetime of condescension, social bullying, and low self-esteem.
