Ok I have been visiting this comments section for quite some time now but i opened this account just now because…
So, your implying there is a right way to watch a drama? Oh boy... Your way or the highway huh?

When I write, I try to put the most logic, I emphasize it's my opinion, and I also emphasize people should be free to watch or not. I am neutral on most of the issues and controversy surrounding this drama.

If you cannot tell the difference of the way I write, and the way Rubber Soul writes, then there is no point in continuing this conversation. The fact that you lumped us together, just proves to me, that you haven't even read half of what I've written. If you had, you would see me actually encourage people to watch Snowdrop and not drop it.

I know it's fashionable to jump on the throats of anyone who even dare criticize Snowdrop, but keep in mind it's not a nice thing to do, and you seem level headed enough to know that.

Karma points, according to MDL is a combination of the number of friends, the number of people liking the reviews your write, and the number of likes your post/comments generates. So as much as you dislike the way I write, or how I analyze dramas, apparently, A LOT of people do not.

Jisoo has a lot of Anti's, does this mean she is doing something wrong?

I find the writing weak, but the story interest me enough to continue watching. And even if the story stopped being interesting, I enjoy writing in a live-airing environment.

If you think that by criticizing the show, I can't enjoy it, your wrong. Just because I am criticizing it, doesn't mean I utterly hate it. This show is already getting a higher rating from me than Start Up did, but lower than Hometown Cha Cha Cha.

Why would it matter? I am quite confident the head mistress knows. The brother seems to be staying at the home…
Ms. Pi

From the scene in Ep. 1, it is clear the mistrust for ANSP isn't everyone in the dorm. Room 207 has mistrust, because Jeong Min is a protestor and Young Ro's brother was unfairly arrested. The Headmistress (Ms. Pi has had a bad experience with them (we don't know exactly what yet). The old man, I don't know why.

Keep in mind ANSP is suppose to be the predecessor of the NIS, so it's basically the FBI of South Korea. Pretty sure the dealings and actions of Young Ro's father isn't national news. Most of the mission, just like any spy agency, will be off the books, and top secret.

As of Ep. 3, even though there are a few mention that ANSP used to do despicable things, the presence of Gang Moo and his loyal team, has shown a more sympathetic side to the ANSP. In fact, the ANSP, with Gang Moo in the lead hasn't been shown to do anything evil yet.

I think the end was a dream also. Or at least it seemed like it.
Exactly, we notice the sound stopped, just music. And if he goes back to her, even though we know the ANSP is coming, and he still gets away? That is just major plot hole. Plus because of the dancing scenes, we know Young Ro is a day dreamer.

It has to be a dream, otherwise he will be caught, since neither Sun Ho or Young RO knows the ANSP is coming.

I can tell my opinions are going to be of the unpopular one, but that has never stopped me when commenting on MDL.

I just finished watching EP. 3 in 480p. My eyes can no longer recognize video that isn't on 1080p LOL! So it was brutal to go through. Hopefully Disney+ starts streaming in NA soon.

Overall, I felt that Episode 3 was not a very strong episode. There was just too much unnecessary scenes and had too many scenes that were dragged longer than it had to be, and annoying plot devices that I felt were a one time annoyance in Ep. 2, turns out to be intentional by the writer, as they were repeatedly used in Episode 3. As if we needed to be reminded how cartoonish evil the villains are, they gave us a scene of almost 10 full seconds of two full grown old men grasping each others color. That was the comedic highlight of the episode.

My mind is having a hard time processing what story or genre this drama is trying to be. What I had thought was initially going to be an exciting cat and mouse game between Gang Moo and Sun Ho, turns out rather to be an underwhelming thriller, where the suspense comes from ocular supernatural events, dead pan stares, and blind as a bat Boon Ok.

The scenes in Episode 3 start good enough, but right before we are to reach it's suspenseful climax, it is cut off at the feet, and bereft of any aid by unnecessary comedic scenes and music that have little to do with he gravity of the situation it started with.
trying to create

I have to laugh at loud every time the scene degrades into an episode of Friends, where Joey is trying to distract Ross by making noises. It's a distracting recurring motif that really cheapens the scene it belongs to and adds nothing to the scene but I guess Comedy?

Just like Young Ro and Sun Ho was aimlessly moving from one room to another, Ep 3 felt like it was meandering without any clear focus of what it wanted to do. Aside from Gang Moo and Mrs. PI, Boon Ok has fast become one of my more favorite characters because her character and story arc has more complexity than almost all the other cast members not named Young Ro and Sun Ho. That is why it feels bad that they are basically destroying her character, because somehow the writers could not allow an all woman's college to have solidarity, they needed a female villain.

I know it's the 1980's but Lee Gwang Tae's intense expression and the way he was sexually harassing Seoul Hui made my skin crawl, I can't believe she was actually feeling it.

In terms of acting, I think Jisoo's acting is getting better as each episodes pass by. I still believe her acting feels very one-tone, but as far as rookie debut, I think she is doing a good job. I have never watched any of Jung Hae In's work, so I have to say I am a little bit disappointed, I feel his acting is weak and ineffectual. I feel he is just literally going through the motions.

The chemistry of the lead is inconsistent, as has been said by other posters. You see, I understand Sun Ho, he is trying to escape, he has a lot of things in his mind, including the health of his squad, so maybe his mind is distracted. But Young Ro, who is shown to be completely smitten since day one, has a waxing and waning response to Sun Ho, that doesn't make sense considering the picture the writing would have us believe. Add to the fact, that having a sister that is Young Ro's age, probably makes Sun ho look at Young ro as more like a little sister, and there are certain scenes in Ep, 3, where it feels more like sibling love than romantic love.

A couple of inconsistencies that irked me in Ep. 3

1. In Episode 2, we saw Young Ro's brother, it was hard for him to get out of the army without pulling some strings. And yet, not only is he completely absent from Ep. 3, but the military man in Hye Roung is dating seems to come and go as he please. Is he the son of the president?

2. Does Nike make heels now? why are they holding a Nike Box, but during the flashback to Boon OK, she is wearing heels?

3. The headmistress is smart enough to figure out Boon Ok is stealing, and see through her lies, but not smart enough to figure out Sun ho, and just accepted Young Ro's lies?

4. A few minutes earlier, they discussed Sun ho's best chance is to leave via the open house. He brings up vocally that if men can come in, so can the ANSP, they can enter the dorm as well. But guess what, none of the ANSP enters.

5. The ANSP has almost every exit and entrance covered, including the not often used exit earlier in the episode. But they leave the front entrance to the college open? Plot hole much?

Can someone explain to me why the south needed to rely on the north to help win the election?
To give the citizen's a false sense of true democratic hope.

They needed NK to be the fall guy in case they got caught. If they had rigged the elections and got caught, they would automatically lose.

You have to be pretty naive if you think they put a drama on disney that romanticizes slaughter of innocent people.…
I don't know how much control Disney has over this particular production. They are just starting their foray into Asian content so it's all pretty new for Disney.

Miss Minchin a.k.a Pi Seunghee is so far still my fave character. I hope she doesn't die. 😭😭
Her acting is really great, I enjoy her character as well. I think she will survive, but I think Jeong Min will die.

I also quite enjoy boon ok as well, I know she's being lumped in with Gwang Tae as a traitor, but I feel Boon Ok is a much more sympathetic character. Gwang Tae is straight up a sexual predator. His scenes with Seoul Hui made my skin crawl.

Ok I have been visiting this comments section for quite some time now but i opened this account just now because…
So because I don't give it a 10/10 I should stop watching the Drama? FYI, I finished TKEM and gave it a 3.5/10 stars. I finished Startup and gave it a 6.5/10 star. Just because I don't love a show, doesn't mean I will drop it. I don't feel it is fair to the hard work of the staff/actors for me to rate on MDL a low rating without first finishing the entire drama. I've already stated as of Ep. 2 I think Snowdrop deserves an 8.2/10. But I'm guessing for you, it's WAY too low, you want a 10/10, I am sorry, Snowdrop at the moment is not getting that from me.

I disliked both shows, yet I finished it and I was active in the comment section of those shows since day 1. I wrote long essay like reviews and comments because that is what brings me joy in MDL. I like to think that there are people who enjoy reading what I have to write. Now whether what I write is of the popular opinion or not is another thing. I guess for this drama, I can tell I am on the unpopular opinion. But I shall not pander and debase myself to try to "Fit In" with the cool crowd to avoid criticism and attacks from people like yourself.

I am allowed to be critical of whatever I want, be it inaccuracies, plot holes, acting, tone, direction or whatever. If you do not want to read my essays, you don't have to.

I am about to write my review of Episode 3, best to shield your eyes then.

I find it ironic that people are telling other people to not censor them from watching Snowdrop, or guilt them not to watch Snowdrop. Yet here you are doing exactly that. Hypocritical so to speak.

I don't know how to get karma points, but I must be doing something right. I suspect you must be another poster on a new accounts.

Let me tell you something Sunmi6280, I have got a long list of Anti-Kimsamsoom people on MDL, most on my block list already anyway. I don't aim to please everyone, and I'm not about to be a people pleaser now, it's just not my style.

I don't think bullet shot his shoulder, it just brushed pass.
The blood splatter on his shirt, and the position of the wounds dressing says otherwise.

Look at ep. 2 and slowdown the time frame from the 7 minute mark, you'll see where he was shot, where is the wound, and you see him holding his inner shoulder, yet no exit wound.

This leads me to believe the bullet should still be inside his body. I don't believe any of the dormmates not the oldman would be competent enough to remove the bullet. So where did it go?

Quick question, If Sun Ho was shot in the shoulder, and there is no exit wound, where is the bullet? It was never shown a bullet was pulled out, so I can only assume the bullet is still inside?

Not a doctor, but have seen enough CSI shows to know that unless the bullet goes through to the other side, you need to remove the bullet otherwise the wound gets infected. Wrapping in bandages won't cut it.

in the midst of watching Ep. 3 now.

I had to pause and just have to comment on this. One of my biggest pet peeve in Kdrama is when circumstances and situations are either too convenient or just implausible. Because the drama starts taking a sort of cartoonish/fantastical quality to it, that requires giant leaps of reasoning. TKEM was another drama that was heavily guilty of this. Snowdrop isn't as bad as TKEM, but these cartoon elements are starting to pile up.

I really find it hard to believe, from the time the old man was warning them, they were able to get rid of every single evidence of Sun ho living there, climb down out the windows, and down into a very very tiny ledge (it can be seen it is literally half of Young Ro's foot), and scurry all the way to the other side window in that short amount of time. Keep in mind Sun ho is injured not only the shoulder but his leg as well...

Then the headmistress told the old man to lock the window, and yet he didn't while she was there, and she didn't bother checking the windows, but she made sure he locked the door?

Inconsistent...

Great visuals, great production value, stunning scenery. Lukewarm plot, horrible pacing and tone, complicated…
Just ignore the history and politics and view this as a sort of Anne Frank type.of drama.

These petition websites and change.org are not really meant to get any actual cancellation happen, I believe they are for the sole purpose of opening up the debate so that people can discuss it.

They are mediums for social awareness, nothing more than that.

In fact, I can't remember the last time those petitions were successful. Joseon Exorcist doesn't count because SBS is a public corporation and they are allergic to any bad press.
