i just finished the 6th episode and everything about them seems realistic actually.
i understand your points very well including the 'proving' part. i didn't understand what is there to prove, they confronted each other about their feelings before that but maybe they needed some time off to have their special moment maybe? in my eyes they flirted for a veerrryy short time before the beach, then the time they spent in the beach confirmed that they can go further.
at the end every relationship has a different dynamic. i can understand why you didn't find it realistic, but to me this story is realistic fjkfsksk at least it's not problematic.. thanks to bl gods.
In general, no, but the Kengkla/Techno arc of the story is extremely problematic.
who approved this story??..... seems pretty fucked up. i might watch this after i finish why r u, because i liked mean in uwma A LOT. i hear perth's name a lot, i think he is nice. and also there is saint so.....

i remember in the first (or the second) episode they know and maybe like each other even before Hwa and Fighter met, there was a tension between them. when i write that comment i was thinking about Fighter coming to terms with his love for Tutor gradually because it seems like he's having a hard time of accepting it. and to me, this is realistic. i didn't read the novel, i don't know even know if there is one but what i think is that Fighter became with Hwa to learn if Tutor liked Hwa or not. He was asking Tutor if he liked Hwa more than just a friend.
but when i think about why Tutor would like Fighter, you're right. there is not a big reason for him to like Fighter because of the constant teasing and him being with Hwa. the more they spend time together, tutor started to like fighter i guess. even though he was the biggest teaser ever they had a THING. u know? i hope i could make it clear ahahah
I can't say that it won't be as slow. I was thankfully able to read up to ch.9 with English translation approved…
yess. i'm reading the novel too and that beginning was so fast ksksk but what i meant was the series. you know, in UWMA there were many looooong and unnecessary staring scenes, and sometimes the pacing was too slow. i hope between us will be an upgrade of quality!! also i guess rating is +18 for BU, so we can expect some hot scenes.
I honestly don't understand this criticism. How is the show depicting gays as predatory? TTTS gave us one of the…
sadly, teens, especially gay teens, do not learn from anything from their parents and from school about life, maybe that's why we love watching things? because we subconsciously learn from them? a show can teach teenagers a lot of things, maybe not properly, but still can give the main idea. and tharntype completely misses the point of it.

(i just read your second comment and i very much agree about it) i think we both understand each other's points. i understand yours, you understand mines. but i think you're only thinking about the show while I'm thinking about the more general audience. you get it? if they called out these scenes in the show, people would learn what is wrong and what is not. because there are teenagers who watch the series and they get the wrong idea of these things. they are 19 years old, they have much to learn, and by showing what to learn, showing them to the audience would be an important lesson for the whole audience, so the audience would learn what one person should do/don't in a relationship. (and for me these series also should educate some people, so it'd be great if we saw these) and again, yes, relationships are not the same. you should do one thing in this one, but should do not in another one. however, some of them are ALWAYS cross the line, they shouldn't be done in any relationship. and, to me, this is what tharntype what fails to show the audience. literally my last sentence depicts my every comment. i hope people will read and understand and call out the scenes.

type's past makes him uncomfortable, and it is on his face. tharn needs to see how uncomfortable type is and needs to stop. it is so easy to stop. the simplest way i can put it. if they planned things before the shower everything would be 10/10. but at the end the show is written by a straight woman when she was a teenager who has a 0 capability of how man-man relationship works. she just fetishisized things and thought it was a good idea. yeah whatever. i hope they will call out every issue in second season but i doubt so.

i'm glad you're one of the people who know it's toxic. to be honest, i'm not expecting them to be perfect because we all have many flaws. what i am expecting is that people to call out these flaws, not me, not you. i want both tharn and type to call out these issues so that people who watch the show can learn MANY things from their relationship. you get what i mean? because they are flawed that the audience can learn many many lessons from these.
