i've had a few non-con experiences as well, and i learned from them. To me, i need to say yes or be comfortable if i want action to happen. one always doesn't need to say "no." you get what i mean? sometimes even if we don't say no, the other part should stop because they need to be capable of when the other part becomes uncomfortable.
yeah, there are many people who think shower scene is con, and many people who think it's non-con. actually i'm watching the scene right now (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4jiKmc0WkI&has_verified=1) type clearly doesn't want it. his face is like this >.< and tries to push tharn a few times. you may say "well it's his first experience., so what do you expect?" or stuff like this, I GET IT, because that's what people say when i tell them this is non-con. BUT, if the other part is uncomfortable the action needs to stop. there does not need to be "no." a few seconds later type gets relaxed and that is kinda OKAY? but how this action started is NOT okay. both parts must be comfortable. that's what all i'm saying.

shower scene is non-consensual actually. type wants tharn to stop to go down there, but tharn doesn't stop. tharn holds type's hands and goes down there. it is non-con. YEAH, there are people who like it forced/hard but they should agree about this before they start. they shouldn't have added this scene.
also i believe their relationship was so unhealthy in the 1st season. their constant need to make the other person jealous, not communicating clearly, type's aggressive behavior (c'mon he didn't need and shouldn't have hit to tharn when he saw him with his ex), there are probably more but i forgot.
they have sweet moments but when you throw sand to the water and mix it, sand is still there. i hope they will fix all the issues in the second season.

hii, did you start to watch the show? i feel the same as you, it does not feel like a bl series since people say it's more like a bromance type of show. and no offense but seeing the audience of thai (or general) bl series fetishisizing the gay ships makes me think.. well are y'all fetishizing this one too? so i'm very hesitant to watch because i do NOT want to sit for 50 episodes for a bromance show skskdk. however, i saw the comments under your post and many more comments about how good series is this. okay but if he adds more long staring scenes to Between Us I'm going to Thailand and finding him. those long starings and slow pacing of Until We Meet Again is what ruined it for me, but he takes care of his actors so I'll give him that.

have you seen Until we meet again? i think it's the most unproblematic thai bl show so i want to stop watching thai bl's because i think i had enough of my share from them lmao. starting to thai bl journey with tharntype was a wrong choice i must say.

i was planning to watch this series but hell... it seems so problematic

i didn't read the novel but i knew all the problematic parts are from the book. however, they could have removed every problematic part. *how type's assault was handled (i believe this was never needed, okay we learned he had raped but what is the contribution of this to the story? I also felt like they showed type gay because he was raped... this is wrong in SO many levels) *tharn's bathroom bj to type without his consent *type's extreme behaviors... do I need to continue?.. I think only needed part was type's behaviors but they were just too extreme. I'm sure you feel me and understand what I'm trying to say... and I'm a person who doesn't like TharnType but likes MewGulf so much that they are the only thing that makes me happy during these days lol.
where your eyes linger is one of a kind i think. even though i just started to watch BL series and have seen like 5-6 it is going to be one of my favorites! and i agree with you, young people are so much understanding of lgbtq+ in most of the world. that's good because people start to change. i hope we get to see more Korean BL's

@Ainari I've just started to watch BL series just a month ago. I'm on my 8th episode of 2gether and the ranking of the BL's that i've seen is:
Crossing the Line/ this was cute, it reminded me of high school days and acting was not bad.
Pornographer/ really liked the plot and i loved their dynamics
Where Your Eyes Linger/ do i really have to say anything? it's so perfect
TharnType/ i LOVE LOVE LOVE mewgulf in real life but the way this show is being so problematic ruins it for me. i'm not going to discuss what is problematic or not. if you see, you see.
however, it seems like 2gether is going to be my favorite because i love their development (i heard they messed up the show in the last 2 episodes) and their acting is not bad at all. their dynamics is worth to watch as well.
i wrote this post because i see many people who say "2gether is overrated" but never see why they think it is overrated. can you give me reasons? because most of the thai BL series are either problematic (underage boy with an adult, falling in love with rapists, inscestous relationships) or have bad acting (for example i'm not a fan of Gulf's or Mew's acting, on the other hand Win and Bright are okay i think, not the best but not the worst too)
so if you think 2gether is overrated what should i watch?
