Hahaha, it sounds like 'cheonha' which is what 'your highness' is in korean! The fact that Heung's family is almost-royalty and the character design is kind of like john wick... that's where the word play comes in! XD

y'all my question is... what happens to jaemi now? he really threw her life for a loop and now that he's gone…
He gave her the best gift ever... the gift of a changed perspective!! He promised to find her real birthday, but ended up also introducing her to her bio-Mom. If she never would have met her, she wouldn't have realized that just giving birth to a child does not automatically make them a Mother/ Parent. And vice versa... you don't have to biologically give birth to a child to be a Mother. Her life isn't incomplete, her dream of becoming a Mom does not add up to a big fat nothing just because of her medical condition. There is more than one way of being a Mom. Her being introduced to Bong Suk and knowing her and Jaeho's backstory, and Jaemi thinking of her as "an unnie i wanna be like" also proves she's going to fulfill her dream of eventually being a 'mother'... the most important thing is being alive. There is hope for everything else... :D

Ditto. You're my kind of a person, I see! ^^
That scene was also so beautifully shot. The way the camera pans, and you see the hug cut across, and the other side is the kid and the teenage version of him. That wordless scene carried so much more than written dialogues ever could. It was a profound moment of realization, not just for the character, but for us viewers too. That beneath his tough exterior, his prickly tendency of self-defense, his idgaf-attitude towards everything, even death.... was a deeply-wounded child who thought he had been abandoned, but deep down, just wanted to feel loved and acknowledged by the ONE person he knew was his Dad, and not some stranger DNA donor.

Nope, he finds the 'four leaf clover' first, so they have to live the rest of their life as per his wish... that they bum off on the roads, forever. But he dies, so narratively I'm inclined to think she 'inherits' his blue Jeep, and drives across the country to keep his memory alive! :')

What did they mean with the last scene of their car driving away?
It's a reference to the last scene in Cruel Intentions. Dead Male Lead... Female Lead drives away on his car with Bittersweet Symphony blasting as she recalls fond memories of their past, and the shot pans across the highway and the surrounding skyline! :D
Lots of tongue-in-cheek throwbacks to Hollywood modern-classics in this one!

Title Mr. Plankton Spoiler
Hae Jo’s dad was grieving for his wife and struggled to accept that Hae Jo wasn’t his biological son. After…
Yes, and that's the point the writer made with this script. You don't have to give birth to be a Parent. (Hae Jo's arc with his foster Mom and non-bio Dad). And just because you gave birth to a baby, doesn't automatically make you a Parent/ family. (Jae Mi's arc with her bio-Mom).

Haejo's character finally realized that the soul-searching and the quest to find his biological father was kind of pointless at the end. He was looking for 'belongingness', his 'roots', the 'seed he came from', and he realized with one of his last medical attacks, that he just wanted to go back to the man HE knew was his Dad, not what medical science told him. The sperm donor was always going to be a stranger (and not Dad) at the end of the day. I think it was a wise narrative choice to leave this question unanswered, for both the character as well as the viewers. Because, it did not matter.
The way I bawled when the camera cuts across the hug, and we see a teenage and a kid version of Haejo hugging Dad outside his childhood home T_T

Plankton are (purposeful) drifters. So is the Male Lead, and the supporting characters. He wishes to stop being a drifter, and is on a quest to find 'his roots' (the 'seed' he came from)

Supposed to be 'Apple' (Greip sp'osed to be be 'Grape', the company named after a fruit). But yes, she's a stem graduate working for the big 3/5 tech companies in US. :P

Agreed... i keep drawing PYJ comparisons... PYJ was terrifying for sure, but she also was more *human*? in the sense that she had a dream (news anchor, the trophy husband, kid, family, etc). She had weaknesses that Moon Dongeun could go after. Not this bish. Ha Rin is not terrifying. She doesn't actively project terror. She's chilling and insidious. The fact that she doesn't even care about her family, and stares around like a soul-less zombie is even more frightening than Yeonjin, tbh. This bish is dead inside. Zero dreams, Zero aspirations. A true harbinger of pandemonium, like ep 6 said.

And what is it, with the pyromaniac bully-trend? Gives me the creeps.

I really hate psychos like Harin. Acting all smart and mysterious meanwhile all she does is use her family's power…
Come on, she isn't as dumb as other chief-bully characters, is she? She puts up good counter-attacks, she has the foresight to think 4 steps ahead, and also from a 'what will Suji do next' angle. She has an immaculate understanding of human nature and how microsocieties work.... and also pulling what string results in what outcome. I think she's one of the smartest of such characters that have been dramatized...

Sublime acting from Ji Changwook... you honestly cannot look anywhere else, but at him!!

Those micro-expressions convey all of his character's emotions, and possibly even more.... Sometimes, he does not even have lines and yet, every little twitch on his face speak louder than dialogues. Surely, it cannot just be good direction, right? This performance tells me this guy is an actor true to his profession and someone who is not afraid of ageing or playing age-accurate roles..... god forbid should he ever decide to botox his way into freezing his face :( It shall be a sad day for k-ent, cuz honestly, his micro-expressions are 🔥Thank you Sir, for not just being a visual treat, because heaven knows, we already have too many of them! xD
On I Told Sunset about You Oct 16, 2023
I consider myself one of the luckiest drama-fans on this planet... because I seem to have yuanfen with all my top-rated shows. And ITSAY just made it to that list. This April, on a fateful Sunday, I walked past Kopitiam thrice... hoping for them to open up. I found the listing on a travel blogger's website, and not a drama blogger's. I had no idea of it's significance other than a cute shop that I really wanted to visit. As luck would have it, we could attend the Sunday Night Market, but not the quaint little coffee shop, because it keeps shut on Sundays. I walked underneath the shaded porticos and eerily enough, the red bricks, the yellow paint and the green shutters evoked a strange sense of nostalgia in me, unlike any of the other beautiful shophouses. Deep-down, the place felt familiar, even though I never made it inside. As if a part of me knew it?
Lo and behold... 6 months later, I'm a sobbing mess at 3am, as I realize Kopitiam was the sets of Teh's house. Is this whaf is known as Jamais-Vu?

I took this trip with a really close college friend, and we had the sunset hike to Promthep Cape on our bucketlist, but again, as the Drama Gods would have it...... she twisted her ankle and we had to sit it out. It was almost as if the superior-powers didn't let me... saying 'not yet'. That I did not 'deserve' it. 😭 the stupidest decision we ever made was staying at Kata Noi hilltop instead of the Old Town! 🥲 And as a drama-fan, I now realize I got the order a bit wrong! 😭

No it's not like that read the synopsis on the drama's pg. They dated when they both were students and reunite…
That's exactly what I said. The actors have an IRL age-gap, but the story isn't around an age-gap (thus it is NOT a noona-romance), *even though* the director has done three projects that are very famous for being noona-romances.
