Motives & underlying personalities do not change, as per the dude who writes these 'tribulation scripts'. So it makes sense, they fall into the same pattern, over & over again. I think Chukong & Xiangyun fall in love without much resistance or external prodding, because they *have been in love* (aka, it's coded into the DNA)..... they just don't have memories of it (30,000 years ago).
But yes, the shopping scene was kind of a stretch. Seems repetitive without a purpose!

Did you drop within the 1st ep? :O Yes, those annoying office colleagues took way too much screentime for how annoying they were! I later came to realize 'cringe colleagues' are a standard cast fixture in any T-drama. I was planning to drop for them too! Even took off like half a star for my final rating! xD

The Eunwoo comment makes me think I finally have some idea which cameo role Rowoon would be playing!
Unlikely, cuz that character is a major homophobic ass. But if it's played by Rowoon, I would be crushing on him too! :P Yes, even if I were a dude! xD

I have a feeling... it's going to be Chukong pulling that excuse. 'She loves him and not me.' And act all aloof and cold (but secretly angst about it!)
Going to be even more of a betrayal, once he finds out she took the anti-amnesia pill and she (even as a deity and knowing all of this was 'fake'), still fell for a human! xD

Yeah, that scene would most likely be shot with a cover band!

Yeah, Gather my tears is the first song on A-side. The B-side first song doesn't exactly fit the vibe! They could end up using 'I Miss You' as well, but I think it would be for a different context (as in, not THE track that makes people time-travel!)

All misgivings aside, I'm actually looking forward to the full length trailer! :D I want the iconic song to play in the background, as they take us through glimpses of this epic journey! :')

They legit pushed him to the side in all the trio moments together (the photo, the bench scene), and made him the 3rd wheel to this couple! xD Typical k-drama shenanigans! TT

Lol, Kang Hoon is as missing from that scene, as his hearing aid is, from the entire trailer! xD
Every scene from the original that has his character with ML, and the FL on the side.... has been replaced with the couple together and Kang Hoon (Second ML) on the side. No surprise, they probably decided to chuck out his character from the rain scene altogether. In the previous timeline, the original always had the trio's friendship as the focus, whereas here, i'm guessing they went ham on the romance (because it's a kdrama afterall) and made the second lead play a third wheel to the main couple. :/ NOT. A. FAN.
Dilutes the whole motivation of the couple's ultimate sacricifice, imo.

Hehe, i'm definitely a fan of this story, and will watch even the 100th remake of it! :D as for AHS, I really liked him in BP! :)

You wanna know one more? 1999-2003 is when the ML attended college in Canada. 2002/3 is also the time when Ahn Hyeoseop, who plays the ML in the remake... emigrated to Canada.. :)

Not just the last song recorded... but he ended his life on the New Year's morning of 1996. Kind of like a certain Main Character in this story. So it's even more fitting that his song was chosen. Interestingly enough, this album features a song called 'i miss you' as its track no. 2. You know what's the second song on the original drama's OST? 'Miss you 300'. :O :O

You are absolutely right! ! 110% infact. The TW drama team knows of people like you who have excellent visual memory, and thus released teasers, which were shot completely afresh! Zero scenes from the drama. Just the main couple intro, and voice-overs from them, that carried the vibe of the story. Actually, it was a teaser released in pairs, with 'her Pov' as teaser 1 and 'his POV' as teaser 2. And a final, 'save the date' announcement, when the two meet. Initially, I got the vibe but had zero spoilers moving forward. But looking back, I now see exactly ~why~ the teasers were released the way that they were. :D And what they were actually about! :')

Hehe, I felt even if the team releases a 10minute long trailer, the newbies will be left scratching their heads, instead of figuring it out!
But I guess... it's best to go into this as blind as possible. That is ONE single, common advice I have heard from every single viewer (& fan) of the original. I do think the purpose of the storytellers is to make us savor each little detail as it unfolds, and go like 'wait, *what?*' :P

I agree with you on one point though.... 1min to 1min 32 seconds, where the song reaches its crescendo, has the same rock-ballad like quality of Last Dance. I can clearly picture the ML's character singing on the top of his voice, like in the original, when they attend that imaginary concert together through the VR glasses, in ep 1! However, I dunno how's that possible when Seo Ji Won isn't alive anymore? Maybe they'll work around the scene! :D

Singer Seo Ji Won ended his life, and was found dead on January 1st, 1996. :( Very fitting since, original viewers also know, which character was found dead on New Years morning in the late 90's, from the original series. :( This album (TEARS) was released in 1996. Very eerie choice of singer. He also has a song called 'I Miss You' on this album. Just like the original's OST!!
