in all the other versions I always found it weird why the FL liked the SML,, but in this one I kinda get it. Also…
Really? In the first version I watched, with ZERO hindsight into what was in store for us in the future episodes, I watched from the FL's POV. Who also really doesn't have any idea about the story herself. From the FL's perspective, it is super-easy for her to fall for him. He's her savior, her Prince-Charming who stands up against his own friends to rescue her. She sees him intervene, only when it concerns her, & her alone! He flirts with her & makes her feel special. In her shoes, anybody would swoon over him! :')
But you're right. In this version, he's a lot less prickly. She's also made extra-aware by the narrative, how she has caught Ren's eye (he drew her on the rooftop!). The reasons are stronger here, if that was possible in the first place!
However, with the details we viewers are told about him... I still cannot see why people still argue he's the better guy for the FL? :') And yeah, he's as much a part of f4 as the rest. He only 'rescues' the FL because he finds her amusing enough to cure his boredom.
i love the way thyme jealous at ren🥴 yet i feel hurt seeing thyme punch ren on the face😫😭😭
I also especially love the piano track that plays when Thyme recalls Gorya's very DIFFERENT reaction at being given a makeover (by Ren)... more superiorly acted than the scene where he spots Ren and her in front of Mira's poster... you could see the myriad of emotions flit by his eyes... confusion, realization, anger, hurt, jealousy... all in a span of a few seconds! ❤❤🥲
Out of all the F4 versions i so far definitely enjoy this one the best. There's more psychological and emotional…
The story is a classic. It just took a good director to un-earth all of this massive potential hidden at its core... :) this is how LAs should be done! ^^
You know, i love it when ren come save the day and all but the scene in front of the poster is always unnecessary.…
Yeah, I feel you! But I think it's a very needed glimpse inside a brain that's quite crazy, in a completely different way than Thyme's. He's like one of those annoying kids who go ham on the confession, only to say 'sike, just trolling' -_-
I don't get the whole soul-mate/ kindred spirits thing either. He's always treated the FL like a second-option. I mean, if you need to be ditched by your one-true-love to realize your feelings for your soulmate... then boy, you got your eggs in the wrong basket. I also dislike the fact that he thinks he can just casually stroll into Gorya's life one fine day, after returning from Paris, and she'll be waiting for him, hands and foot. The entitlement -____-
They didnt, theyre more of spectator and just having fun, cus they know they cant stop thyme anyway but MJ subtly…
My bad, MJ calls him out on the kidnapping, saying he can be put to jail for it. He's like the sole voice of reason in this group. Kavin... is just Kavin. I always felt he was a lawful-evil xD

Ooof, yess! Thank you for your analysis. I would like to add 2 more points... -f4's ground-rule of not red-carding girls has been violated twice by Thyme, so he can one-up Gorya, but it's clearly back-fired on him, both times. -'Gorya taking down f4' thread is gaining traction online on twitter, after the kick went viral. Not exactly great for the group.
Ps. I too do not see how they changed their tunes from ep 1. MJ was literally losing it, ever since Thyme's new target was a 'little girl'. They even went ahead and called him out on the attempted SA, that he went 'too far' this time. More from a self-preservation angle, rather than being all saintly.
I agree about the fast pace. This is what happens when you take a series which has had as many as 50episodes in…
Yep. I absolutely agree. The different versions of Thyme (like 'Angry Thyme' & 'Childish Thyme') seems very disjointed, to the point I might be getting a whiplash. The transitions between his different sides also aren't smooth. I wonder if it's an editing/ mixing problem. I remember MatsuJun's Domyouji... his scowls, frowns, pouts and rare smiles blended and transformed so beautifully in a single shot. I'm missing the layers in Thyme's portrayal! :')
Couple of criticisms: Firstly, the pace is way too fast for my liking. I think Thyme transitioning to the attraction…
Legit critique. Except I think Bright SHINES in the more comedic moment, and positively struggles in the more serious moments. I think I can almost see him breaking character and LOLing at those hazing scenes! xD
I disagree. Mira seems older and more worldly. This Ren seems moreinnocent to me. I don’t get a romantic connection.…
Which is the case in EVERY version. Mira has to sleep with Ren only to realize she always treated him like a 'little brother.' -_- And Ren more innocent? Isn't he like that in every LA? Spacey, dreamy, sleepy, bored, slow.... who looks the most awake around Mira, & of course, later Gorya, who 'amuses' him to no extent?
Yeah, as long as he stays in his lane, and doesn't come back to third-wheel the main couple, after being ditched by Mira for a 'true man' and 'having found her dream.' Why is EVERYBODY such an ASS in this story? Just like REAL PEOPLE I see around me everywhere? -_-
Mira X Ren, please go have some long-legged kids of your own. Don't come back to Bangkok. Please.

'Bit' autistic? Like Chinese version? I thought it's a common thing for all versions of Ren/ Rui? Or do you mean he's STILL autistic..? Because I remember in the manga he's said 'to have got over it' (medically impossible, but it's a manga, come on!) xD
i am dead, that was literally the cutest thing i have ever watched! i am smirking like a freaking idiot! "sheeit"…
The 180 Thyme took from being pissed at Ren for 'defying' him, to being a smol little puppy freaking out after the kiss, was faster than oppa turning his car mid-drive to chase after his lady love! xD
Casting is kind of weird. The FL is supposed to be average looking, but she's literally prettier than all the…
Uhh, I wouldn't be so quick to say that. Thyme's sister, Thyme's mum and Ren's future gf are ALL described as gorgeous, and so they have been cast as a different 'kind' of pretty altogether. Tu, in her uniform, blends nicely amongst the bunch of children at her school. Even Kavin's ex is the 'supermodel' built. I wouldn't call any of those women potatoes. Tu, just like Tsukushi, does look very 'average'/ 'girl next door' around them! :') And no, it doesn't have anything to with how she dresses. Even post her makeover, she still looks sweet and pretty, but not in the same league as those other women (who haven't been introduced so far)

I'm living for the meta commentary, btw! xD

They make an adorable pair, visually! :')

Class-A fuckboy in the making. So messed up in the head, but I want to protecc him! :')
