So, let me get this straight:
Series description says- Lee El plays the typical 'oldest, first child', Lee Min Ki plays the typical 'second, middle child' and Kim Ji Won plays the typical 'youngest, third child'. Where is the comedy tag, THOUGH? :O :O

I agree with you on this, it honestly depends on a person's personality and character. Some people have the ability…
I think she is in self-denial mode. You know when you go skinny dipping into an ice-cold lake on a dead winter morning, and you kid yourself 'i know this is cold, but it can't hurt that bad right?'... at some point, it's the adrenaline and other questionable hormones that convince you, you can survive the plunge. Your brain knows it's a bad idea, but you say... 'screw it, let's go for it.' You also try telling yourself you went into the pool once on a particularly windy and chilly day, and you survived through that, so it won't be as bad.
It's not the most perfect analogy, but yeah.... she thinks she has seen the worst with her ex, so whatever heartbreak Jae-Won might bring (by bringing in other 'women' into their relationship, which he inevitably will!).... she thinks she can survive the hurt so she once again says 'screw it.' Little does she know she has allowed herself to be affected so much by Jae-Won in the process of pursuing (what she thinks is) a 'casual relationship' with him..... he ends up bringing out really ugly stuff within her, like past issues which hadn't surfaced as prominently before, or she herself wasn't aware of.
And sadly, a LOT of relationships become like that. That, is the picture perfect definition of what a toxic relationship looks like ;)

Lovestruck in the city was good though lol
I personally liked it. The first half much more than the last. I also love whenever JCW plays the 'less than perfect, regular guy'. But I'm sad the script got derailed pretty badly, eventually. Also, common consensus among netz was LSITC wasn't a 'good drama' :/ Can't make everybody happy, I guess!

The webtoon revolves around Nabi like completely from her perspective just like in the drama. We are not given…
Can't wait for his reveal as the psychotic serial-killer. Lol... jk!...
I'm bout to sell a kidney just to get his PoV, so I'm manifesting what you just said <3

Completely agree with you. However, giving us a FULL PoV would mean his character and his intentions are no longer a mystery to us. The ambiguity keeps it interesting, as much as we hate it, lol! But I can see some efforts from the directors who give us some solo shots of Jae-Won... atleast you can get an idea what goes on his head when he's alone, and (probably) not putting up a front for the benefit of Nabi's eyes :)

Just curious, is it true that this drama is kinda flopping in SK but is popular internationally?
People are hiding under their blankets and watching it secretly on Netflix Korea which is why the show's 'flopping' on cable tv (jTBC) :P

The fact that Jae Eon got so jealous when she is literally just talking to Eun Han, shows how controlling he is,…
They are BOTH a bunch of double-standards, please!

I guess they won't. Because it will be contradicting to what they say about the drama being hyper-realistic.
Thank you, I didn't take the 'tVN versus JtBC' fact into account. This assuages a lot of fears :')

There are so many “red flags” going off with Jae Eon in the episodes we’ve gotten, it’s crazy, and I heard…
They are both equally trash in the webtoon. Nabi has a more obvious vengeful-streak there :D

He felt possessive of her initially, BEFORE being told to back off by Nabi on the rooftop. This was the scene…
Have you noticed how the solo, unscripted scenes of JE are accompanied with eerie music and unsettling camera-angles, even when he's tenderly recalling his moments with Nabi in is head? While his borderline stalker-y scenes are alwayssss paired up with swoony music and romantic, sakura-tinted filters and gaussian blurs?
The tension & contradiction captured through the cinematography is precisely why I cannot put my finger confidently on either possibility, and keep switching my stand on the guy. Heh. The production-team is doing a great job of keeping us on our toes :3

But it has been done for dramas with low-ratings before. Because they think public-appeasement would prevent the show from getting cancelled. Might as well make it senseless and go on, than getting axed for being true to the initial idea.

I really love how your understanding and insights are so profound on this one! And the analogy of the addict and the dealer... OOF! xD

If the writers try to sabotage this by shoe-horning in some hilariously unrealistic and incredibly contrived 'redemption-arc' for Jae-Eon on the finale episode, I'm straightaway docking my rating to a 5.5!!! -__-

For me, the bottom-most pit of negativity on JE's moral-spectrum was precisely this scenario (and not him being some evil-doing, 1-dimensional, sociopathic villain)!... Yet I could never word it so logically, as you have. Also, thanks for pointing out how flawed my argument was when I said allowing her '(just) enough space' was an evidence to how he 'genuinely cares'. I never realized that while on paper, it appears as if he's letting her make the final choice, but his manipulation prevents her from ever really having any agency. WOW..... I'm mind-blown.!
Thank you for wording it so coherently, and cogently. Now, MDL... please tell me how do I bookmark this comment? :D

You have given me fresh perspective, but I still believe he does all these things unconsciously, so he can pass on the buck, later on. Also, is this drama secretly a litmus-test for 'who's the most likely to get axed by a serial-killer?' Cuz some us are wayyyyy tooo trusting, lmao!! xD
