Many people didn't like that Na-bi fell for the "toxic" guy but we cannot deny that there is extremely good chemistry…
Love? Excuse me, but today's episode was literally titled: 'There's no such thing as love. Nevertheless.....'
Nabi has finally come to understand she doesn't 'love' JE... but she'll continue to torture herself over this weird 'situation-ship' she has going on with him.

I really like that they kinda showed Jaeon's side of the story when Nabi went to her hometown but I also like…
It was so funny, JE finally got a little insight into Nabi's head after talking to KH, who happens to be in a similar position to Nabi in his own relationship with Bit-Na. A 5 minute-convo with a third-party gave him more perspective, than spending countless nights with Nabi in her bed.

I really don't know what that says about their 'relationship'. It's certainly, nothing great. :/

Lots of changes in this ep6. Na Bi getting closer to her childhood best friend. Jae Yeon looking for her. Lucky…
With k-dramas putting jerk, tsundere CEO's on a pedestal, there is no way a bicycle is winning over the Maserati. Nope.
*I hate this*

Chemistry is not only made by the looks and if the two persons look cute together. Chemistry is for a huge part…
I agree. And Nabi also looks uncomfortable, like she's stepping on eggshells, around JE, whenever they discuss anything even remotely profound. I really dislike how she seems to fake her nonchalance even when she's not okay with a lot of JE's evasive behavior or actions.
On the other hand, I think Nabi is open enough around DH, where she's not nervous to show her visible displeasure. Then again, there's more at stake (to lose) in case of JE (aka, he might leave)... so I get her sense of caution around him.
With DH, what's the worse that can happen? They already fell out of touch due to misunderstandings earlier!

Well, glad to know it's not just me who thinks JE is the biggest, non-committal and self-absorbed loser.... he thinks that about himself too! ^^ The way the episode unraveled, you can see him wallow in self-pity, yet he fails to show even an iota of compassion or empathy for Nabi, and how she might have felt bad about the whole situation.
Jae-Won is lucky, he has Song Kang's face.... istg!

Is it just me or was the song at a higher tempo in the show? I remember the part of "I'm insecure..." having more…
I think what plays in the episodes is the acoustic version of the Sam Kim song! ^^

The irony is Song Kang will be with Park Min Young after this same goes with Han So Hee she will be with Park…
Imagine, a bed-scene from Nevertheless overthrows the Secretary Kim clip on YT that has 800million+ views.
Then both of them turn up for the table-read and have to apologize: 'Mian-he, sunbaenim' xD

what's more toxic , a cigarette or who smoke it ?
Exactly. And why is the counter-argument always a 'what-about'?
JE is his own person, and him being toxic has nothing to do with Nabi being a toxic person herself. I don't even get why Nabi's toxicity is brought up in the same breath to excuse the guy and his behavior!

The toxic thing about him is that he’s very manipulative and every single move he makes is clearly calculated…
Just because she's a willing party in the sex, distraction, and a feigned relationship he won't commit to, doesn't mean she isn't being manipulated. Just because party B knows of the fact that party A manipulates others, doesn't mean party B isn't being manipulated by party A. Just because JE isn't doing it as a fully pre-calculated plan, doesn't make it *not* manipulation.
From a third-party POV, esp that of a therapist, or a psychologist, he is manipulating her, irrespective of the fact whether he is doing it consciously or not, and whether she's a willing party or not.

I don't think Jae Eon's gonna have a redemption arc. In these 5 episodes, Jae Eon was basically a manipulative…

I'm loving how everybody's 18+ on the show, but the only wholesome, non-problematic, non-toxic and (potentially) romantic dynamic we have is from the 'real adults' of the show: the workplace-romance storyline between the cute-glasses alumnus who works in the office with the pretty, but currently-homeless lady! :3 <3 So precious, istg!

i feel you. it's like the two don't talk and when they do, they don't say everything that they want to. if nabi…
One of the more annoying things about the show. They are very annoying people to be around IRL. We are watching them because they are played by HSH and SK xD

Title Nevertheless, Spoiler
I had already seen the scene where YNB tells PJE's ex about the hair, but by that time I hadn't even started to…
Nabi has this character-trait where she needs to one-up the other. No matter what's the circumstance or who the person is. You could see it with alleyway-cigarette scene, where she swooped out the last cig from JW, even though she isn't a smoker. You can see it in the scene outside her house... she wipes off the other girl's lipstick and plants one right on JW's lips. So, ofcourse, if the ex is trying to rub into Nabi's face how she's much better than her because she's the one JW's 'dating'.... she had to think of a come-back. And what a comeback it was!!! Nabi has a slight mean-streak and a penchant for vendetta... so she wouldn't take to being talked down to, much less from JW's 'current/ ex-gf.' Also, what the ex-gf did... was such a snake-like thing to do. Like why do you need to pick out your bf's 'friend' and interrogate her if they are anything more than that? -_- Stay in your lane, woman!
She had it coming.
If you thought this was jarring... then the webtoon would probably have you think this was very OOC of Nabi.. because the ex-gf there was a sweetheart, and oblivious to JW's philandering way. And she didn't mention the fact about 'dating' JW in a condescending way, yet Nabi mentioned the 'hair' thing as a way to sabotage their relationship (which she regretted later... but nevertheless, she did it intentionally!)

Did they make him a little less toxic in the drama or is it just Song Kang's off-putting acting?
Definitely, made BOTH the leads a LOT less toxic compared to their webtoon versions! Also, I wouldn't necessarily say somebody's inability to act super-toxic is off-putting :)

The guy is a total manipulator. Why he changed his phone number? The only reason I see is that he wanted Na Bi…
She picked 'metal' as her final project material. And that screams desperation to me, at the same time being super prideful and mildly egoistic. Like 'I won't approach you to call it truce, but give you mixed signals nonetheless, keeping my hair up in ponytails and choosing your specialization as mine, to work on my final project.'
It takes two to play the game. While JE might be doing it consciously, Nabi too is playing along, although she's in denial about it.

If they give him his redemption, the first part of the drama would clearly be leading on the audience. Because…
More like... he's incapable of change T_T

Okay... anybody felt the sizzle died, and now Nabi and Jae-Won are just sad people moping around? I think they make each other happy, but are too caught up in other stuff (like society's opinion on the two, their own issues around commitment etc.) to actually realize the fact that they were happy together, and give (whatever they have/ had) a fighting chance.

It's a part of her 'wallflower' characterization! :)
