I have seen comments arguing about the racy dream scene, calling it too much for K drama. I’m sorry but it’s…
It was super aesthetically shot, and I loved it. The colors, the angles, the music (the lyrics, oof)...the sequence of actions, JW's hurriedness which eventually turns tender, the details of his hand placement on her bum. The scene was pure art. *_* Bashers can go, get some taste.

Well, Jae-eon's character has his own backstory. He witnessed something (P.S. something related to his family),…
Oh, that's quite unfortunate that we don't get Jae-Won's PoV, because Na-Bi herself seems to be quite an unreliable narrator. Wow. A story about casual sex and relationships, and yet we have heavier literary devices like the Rashomon Effect. Dang. I should have been prepared for this. *_*

I'm not ready to invest into 8 more episodes, and NOT get a clear picture of what goes inside Jae-Won's head. If he does it consciously like going for a hunt, or he does all the hunting/ preying subconsciously. But istg, if he turns into a d*ck eventually, which I suspect he will after a point of their FWB-situation, I will stop being so soft for his character.

To the webtoon readers here, I have a question about Jae-Won.
Do they reveal if he's doing all of this just to get Nabi in his bed? Or is he genuinely interested in her/ likes her... but just won't commit because he has like either commitment issues, or it just isn't his style to stick to a single woman?
Do they draw chapters with his POV, so we get to know what he actually thinks about the girl? :O

Thank you for the answers :)

Eh, I feel people who engage in casual dating and open relationships get a bad rep, *because* of guys like Jae-Won.…
Oh god, the first girlfriend that turned him into a player is such a 'straw that broke the camel's back' trope. Real life hardly works that way.
While yeah, I agree he is nowhere close to being a serial-killer or rapist in the making, you cannot ignore the fact that he literally provoked Nabi to go for the kiss. He's sweet and attentive to her for sure, but he also subconsciously pushes her buttons which drives her mad, makes her ditch her rationality and take questionable plunges. There is a very subtle emotional manipulation going on, at the background. We don't see it overtly, because the drama is from Nabi's POV. I wish I could give a penny for Jae-Won's thoughts... I really want to know if it's all genuine, or just a honey-trap.
The gaslighting at the end was Class-A, though. I love characters who fit midway on the spectrum of evil/good. ^^

I really can't understand Jae-won. I hope as the episodes progress we can learn more about his character and backstory.
Same. We only observe him through Na-Bi's lenses. I wish his intentions were clearer. We still don't know if ANY of what he does are genuine, or just to get Na-Bi into his bed. I'd like to see his true colors, asap.

It’s supposed to allude the idea that he’s a player ambiguously but still obvious. I mean I don’t think…
I definitely think it's a deliberate directional-decision. It's like the truth is staring you in the face, but you choose to overlook it and still give him the benefit of doubt. *Just* like Na-Bi. Maybe, those scenes are meant to raise similar doubts in our heads, as in Nabi's. And I don't think many prod-teams have been able to execute this kind of ambiguity about a MC so well in dramas recently (movies, yes.... but dramas...? Lol, no) xD

Both JCW and SK are called 'Park Jae-Won/ Jae-Eon' in their respective drama series, which sounds pretty much…
Yep, JCW was always the 'knight in shining armor' for most of his career. Only when he's 33/34, he could get a script where he plays the 'regular' guy, kinda pathetic, good-looking but also a loser? K-dramas like to make us believe their MLs are Princes right outta fairytale books. I'd love to see more challenging, and realistic characters being depicted. And I hope this is a start <3

Maybe his just a rebound for her idk. I went into this knowing it was gonna be a friends with benefits situation,…
OMYGOD. I have not even watched YOU (only seen promos and edits)... and I really felt like SK is delivering the character like the ML from there! :O :O
Oof, I have been going on and on about how SK has this glint in his eyes, and he looks borderline unhinged, at times.

Want to share something I wrote on feeds about this show:I have to appreciate this show with truly showcasing…
First of all, are you a psych-major, because dang, that was GOOD!
Also, the way SK acts Jae-Won, he looks borderline neurotic and deranged. Like he has a dark-side and a very strong mean-streak. I felt it, but I also feel like I overlooked 'proofs'.

My guess is that, he is going to be falling hard!!
His commitment issues will make Nabi leave his sorry ass. Watch this come true, lol xD But I agree, he's a goner for her. Already.

Honestly I don't even think she is THAT in love with him yet, or likes him THAT much. At this point, their relationship…
I can get nothing from SK's delivery of Jae-Won. Only the bits he shows to the world, but at this point, I don't even know if any of that is genuine. Really can't figure him out, would love to offer up my kidney to get a glimpse inside his brain. At times, you feel like Nabi is special to him. And at other times, you know it's only just a game. I LOVE how the directors have kept us on the same page as Nabi-- we really know as much about Jae-Won, and feel similarly about him-- as she does :)

The ML is sending out red flags left right and center, I swear if they spin this into a complete romance drama…
I love dysfunctional relationships and their portrayal in art and media. I too hope they don't turn it into a formulaic k-drama, because so far, this looks like it has *potential*!! ^^

Honestly, Park Jae Eon is that kind of guy in college who wants to get all the girls and no strings attached.…
But his character already gave me glimpses of the fact he might diss his long string of lays to a bunch of his guy-friends. Yuck. Why are hot boys like him, always trash?

Idk about others but, I was bloody mad at the kissing scene, she was plain stupid and the actually sad part is…
>>>This drama is pissing me off to another level just because is too realistic. Well, I’m so worked up , I feel attacked by it on a very personal level lol.<<<
THIS, tbh! >__<

i don't blame the male lead at all for being like he is. i mean it's out there. everyone in uni knows how he is,…
Eh, I feel people who engage in casual dating and open relationships get a bad rep, *because* of guys like Jae-Won. I earlier didn't see the 'toxic' at first, but then as the episodes go by, it becomes clearer.

First of all, casual dating doesn't give you the license to be a jackass. The whole 'she's delusional, clingy and a bit obsessed' comment on the girl-at-the-club pissed me off so bad. She displayed literally none of those behaviors. I hate such guys, who think they can trash-talk about the women they slept with, irrespective of the number of times. Just because you flit from one woman to another, doesn't mean you can't do it in a respectful manner. Like a gentleman.

Secondly, the comment was definitely made to make Nabi feel 'different' and 'special'. I despise when guys think 'oh, but you're not like other girls' is a compliment. You can see how irritated Nabi was at that casual remark. You could see the cogs in her brain work like: 'oh, so once you move on after sleeping with me, you gonna call me clingy, next?'

While the above 2 points are fairly conclusive, it may be an extrapolation when I say this, but his whole 'sensitive, perceptive and high EQ' persona seems to be facade to honey-trap women. I'd really like to see if he's equally as sweet to Nabi, should she decide to put him in the friendzone for good. Based on today's episode, I guess I have to wait a while longer to see Jae-Won's true colors, lol. xD

lol.. how many women do you know of who did not ignore red flag..'Attraction can be a very real strong force..…
Oh, for me, I knew the 'badass' bit was a front... to be strong and confident. And that is precisely what she's trying to do with Jae-Won I believe. She's gonna fake it, till she makes it.

Lol, I still think she resembles a baby Song Hye Kyo. <3

It seems that this drama is going to trigger some deep emotions. To every girl who has been in this situation…
OOF. Well said. We all deserve someone much better. This whole 'friends, but also trying to get in your pants' is such an exhausting game to play. And like somebody else said here, you keep telling yourself that you're special, but then the last girl he ditched for you was cool and awesome too. It's really not our fault. :/

Damn i thought Lovestruck in the city had the boldest scenes within the first 2 episodes but then nevertheless…
Both JCW and SK are called 'Park Jae-Won/ Jae-Eon' in their respective drama series, which sounds pretty much similar.
What strikes me as a very bold choice, is the fact that this generation of actors is JUST starting out. To see them play 'grey' characters is very appealing to me as a viewer, because I'm tired of the older generation playing it 'safe' with their script choices. Every one of their lead characters was SO generic, be it male or female. :)

lol.. how many women do you know of who did not ignore red flag..'Attraction can be a very real strong force..…
Yeah, her deal-breaker with the ex wasn't the fact that he was constantly overstepping boundaries, had zero respect for her and had been treating her like crap. Very clearly, her last straw was the fact that there was another woman involved. The fact that she voluntarily puts herself in that situation all over again, makes me think she's a tad delusional. That she can handle the same kind of pain again.
I really want to see how they incorporate the 'changed woman' bit after this.
