this is just bad/lazy writing. in the manga and japanese LA version, their convo was more heartfelt. it goes on…
yes, it felt pretty abrupt too - they could have managed it way better, especially since we're starting to have quite a few good examples of good communication in coming out scenes or acceptance moments.
As a gay person, I can tell you, many times in my life people have told me I wasn't normal because I'm gay. There…
Thanks for your point of view! I can actually understand it, but I feel using the world "normal" keeps underlying that there is a difference between two things/situations. For example: I'm a non-cis single mother of an autistic child, and what I keep hearing is "normal families" in contrast to my allegedly "non-normal" family (which has always been only me+my son, fullstop). But as long as people (even doctors or specialists!) keep saying "normal/abnormal" we'll never get to the point where it doesn't matter who you decide to love, or even create your family with. (I don't know if I explained myself correctly, sorry)
I think choosing a positive set of words is even more important in a drama that is meant for a teen audience.
Sasaki was such an hilarious character, I hope we get more cameos from Luke in the few remaining episodes because his crazy energy made me laugh so hard! XD
There are so many things about this episode, like the emotional kiss on the forehead or the beautiful love-making scene... but the only thing I can keep on thinking is: UP is so damn beautiful and talented!! He keeps getting more and more stunning at each episode!
Ok - plotwise and "policewise" it was all over the place, BUT: it was still very enjoyable with great action scenes and great acting. And hot guys, obviously.
Maybe it was a bad translation, but I really hated the moment in which Atom told Half that he likes Thap, and Half answers "you are normal. people who think this stuff is abnormal, are abnormal". I so so so hate when they use "normal/abnormal" words, what does "normality" means anyway! It take us back centuries!
Also am I crazy to actually like the painting. Everyone is hating on it. Am I missing something lol?
I like the artwork too - I mean, it did feel like the classic "well-made painting without anything that stands out" at first, but the roses somehow gave it a new perspective: it's as the painter is watching the seaside from behind a window, giving it more "humanity" and making the viewer a part of the painting.
I started rewatching this series out of some kind of weird nostalgia for the pairing MekMark... I never really liked Mek but I liked his performance here and FahPrince moments were so nice! As many other series, as I remembered it went downhill in the second half with many useless cliches, but still it's a good drama. <3
Uh - ep1 was kinda better then ep2. It's basically the party of the year for cringeness, cheesiness and clichèes... but Mos looks so great in a white shirt that I can forgive (almost) anything.
The acting is pretty bad tho'... Mos is doing a nice job but Bank's character is so badly written that the poor boy will have it tough making it decent. Sigh.
Fingers crossed for ep3 but my expectations are getting lower and lower.
Great episode, Up nailed all the scenes--- this man rocks. And Poom too, they are both so expressive!
Sidenote: if I were in Joe's shoes, I would have kicked Sol&Wut out of the room during this episode! They kept saying "stay chill" while his own body was cremated... what?? How can they even only think that could be easy?
Episode 10 preview: Tong is the worst person ever. He is the definitive a$$#0|e.
this drama is always a mix of emotions... there are plenty of things that could have been done better (i might be absurd but WHO SLEEPS TOTALLY DRESSED!), in less clicheed way or in a more attentive way... and yet, I could watch these guys act lovey-dovey for other hundreds episodes more and never get tired of their cute interactions!
PS when Pond and Boom are together on screen, there is so much beauty in the frame that I can't stand the shiningness!!
PS - I don't understand either Kang's nor Shone's hate: 6 months have gone by and it's only natural for Shone…
you're right :) while watching these sort of series, sometimes I feel nostalgically thrown back to when I was 18yo and I forget I'm not there anymore! XD

Best part: Dr Ter left alone by Dr Khwan!
Sidenote: we needed more Plakao screentime!

Personal note: Sea managed to be more and more beautiful as episodes went by!
And I just love Louis, hope to see him in many other projects! <3
