If your subs are good, many people who downloaded the original 78 eps will probably appreciate having access to them! I would say anyone who did fansubs, including @LordFengCui, don't let your hard work go to waste and make those subs (just the srt files) available to download either via G-drive or on a site like opensubs. Especially since the new subs still seem somewhat AI generated, many people will prefer human made subs.

Yo, I'm happy to answer novel related questions :3 I'll be answering from my personal takeaway of the story and its events:
1: Ruan Nanzhu is the Door God of the 12th door, but actually he's essentially the God of the entire Door Realm, seeing as how, as it is revealed in the extras after the main novel, he is not human, and he is in total control the Door Realm, and all other door gods and the NPC's. Ruan Nanzhu wiped not only Lin Qiushi's memories of being the leader of Obsidian, but also temporarily rewrote his own memories and gave himself a 'history' so that he could go through the doors with Qiushi from the start. Maybe it's just me, but the way I understood it, the 12 door is not a set door (it seems the series used this idea as well in a way), and so it can be whatever RNZ wants it to be, so instead of a level to defeat, he just made Qiushi's 12th door a reset. So Qiushi restarted the whole game over from door 1 with Nanzhu accompanying him. The ultimate goal being so Nanzhu could get close to him.
2: So, yes, when they came out of the first door, it was back to reality, but as Nanzhu had altered Qiushi's memory, it makes sense he can alter the memory of anyone who has entered the Door World, which would include all the people in Obsidian who knew Qiushi. So it's the right/same reality, with everyone's memories altered.
3: Again, this is just how I understood it, but I assume the reason no one 'comes out of the 12th door' is because it is whatever Nanzhu wants it to be, and either they die in the door, or after they get out, he makes it so that the person from the 12th door and everyone who knew them from the doors, simply forgets the Door World exists. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.
Qiushi's entire experience was uniquely tailored after all, because Nanzhu WANTED him. So the fact that things happened differently for him isn't surprising. Nanzhu literally altered his existence just to meet the guy 😂

I can appreciate what you're saying and I believe they must have all acted their best to the end, but I didn't get attached to anyone in the series, so I wasn't able to feel invested in the outcome, it felt like 'ok, whatevs' by that point. Also, I didn't feel any of the chemistry people are talking about between Tunan and Ruolai, I actually felt that whole staircase mentor/mentee scene especially was hella awkward 😂So yeah, I'm a Wang Yibo fan, but I ain't forcing myself to watch something of his if it's boring 😆so I'ma tap out at 32 ✌️

No prob, both the novel and series have their highlights for sure. As for the doors, they are the same in visual representation, but not all the doors are featured and some events/characters in the Door World are different :)
I would definitely recommend reading the novel ending after finishing the series, and yes, 130 is exactly where Qiushi enters the 11th door. It'll be a very satisfying end! Enjoy!!

1. In the novel the doors and more violent, dangerous and cruel. (but the series is still horror-esque, so if that's not your vibe, be wary) 2. The series changes the roles of some characters in minor and major ways and over all develops friendly and close relationships between characters who don't have those kinds of relationships in the book, making it more relatable, sentimental and emotional when compared to the novel. 3. Ruan Nanzhu (novel) is not as nice as Ruan Lanzhu (series) in many aspects, he's colder and more cut and dried and curt. (and flirtatious and somewhat horny and handsy with Qiushi) 4. Qiushi (novel) and Jiushu (series) are actually more or less the same, no major differences there. 5. The series does not have all the doors mentioned in the novel, also it changes some major story arcs that deviate totally from the novel, such as: - The series portrays that the Door World is a game, where as in the novel, The Door world is an alternative, real world realm. - The series portrays that Ruan Lanzhu is an NPC from the virtual world who is akin to what might be called the 'Final Boss'/final door, whereas in the novel, Ruan Nanzhu is an actual real being who is not human and is sort of the 'God' of all the doors of his world, most prominently the 12th door and final door and Qiushi is essentially his love conquest. - There is no Guo Dawei, best friend character at all in the book, that's an add on character to further the series' story. - Other major characters in the novel don't appear in the series, while other characters are given more prominent and altered roles. 6. And uh, some other minor things here and there. 7. The ending is MAJORLY different (especially from entering the 11th door) and far superior (imo) but the changes can only be blamed on censorship, they really did their best to make it work. 8. The BL is acknowledged and established.
The ending is absolutely happy. That said, despite the wishy washy bitter-sweet ending, the series is really amazing. Different, but in really great ways and the casting and acting, cinematography and sets for the world of the book is all on point.
Also, it's only 'bromance' by forced censorship tag. The way Lanzhu looks at Jiushi right from episode 1 is nothing short of heated and attracted. They most certainly are not portrayed as just friends and some of the dialogue between them is just 🤌
