But they aren't mistaking PSY & GSD's relationship - Zhen Xuan is correct - PSY has always been in love with GSD.
Yeah, I remember season 1, PSY's flashbacks of the kid, I also very distinctly recall that he and GSD are cousins, and I saw their behaviour as close but entirely platonic, s'why I was confused when someone commented that PSY is in love with GSD, because I absolutely did not get that vibe in the show.

Did I misunderstand in the first season that PSY and GSD are cousins? Related? Edit: Yeah, I just checked, in episode 6, s01, they admit they're cousins, so either you're saying PSY is into his cousin or?
Not bad, even being such a few episodes, the pace is okay. The whole 'powerful business dad doesn't approve' behind the scenes deal trap was a little 'eh', but it's not the worst scenario they could have come up with. Still enjoyable acting and it was good to see some humor again in this ep. The running theme of people mistaking Pei Shou Yi and Gao Shi De's relationship is entertaining. Still like Pei Shou Yi more than the main characters, not a fan of his impending pairing though.
Anyway, it's going well for a light watch. I'm not taking it too seriously.
I feel like I want to agree about Taiwanese BL series, but then The Untamed exists, and despite being censored,…
I saw some hype about this, but honestly, the visual of the posters for this show doesn't grab my attention. I don't even like the way the characters look and act in the trailer. With The Untamed, the imagery and summary alone grabbed my attention, and once I watched the trailer I was already majorly intrigued. I'm not saying the show is bad though, I'm just picky about what I watch. I can't watch a show just because it's BL, if something doesn't look interesting I skip it, no matter what genre it is.
The way C Ent suddenly produce/plan to produce so many BL / GL drama, it is more than reasonable to believe it…
True, even without the distinct romance from the novel, the show is epic for the leads (and extended cast), the story, the acting, the music, the pace, the imagery, the emotion, etc, etc... It's basically the whole package. It's one of a kind.
Finally started watching BL dramas and no one can skip this dramaEven before watching the drama whenever i saw…
My advice would be to read the original novel, then the show (and it's censored parts and subtle relationship development) will be clearer to you. I'm sure it'll grow on you anyway, as I think many CQL fans can agree, that even though they never actually physically display a romance, the show is worth every second spent watching.
Really curious to know how many of you Lady MacBeths have changed your tune in the past week? I read y’all’s…
I feel like I want to agree about Taiwanese BL series, but then The Untamed exists, and despite being censored, I'd still say it's the best BL I've ever seen. Ever. That said, I have always favoured BL from China/Taiwan myself, so I mostly kind of sort partially agree with you.
I don't know if this is appropriate for the comments section but this whole episode discussion has made me think.…
You'd think your comment would be viewed as common sense, but reason, objectivity and consideration of circumstance and relationship dynamics rarely come into play in BL fandoms. There is no grey area for the majority.
I was really glad that Shi De overheard Shu's juvenile little mean girl plot against him. Honestly, if that had been the idea for s02, I would have bowed out. But they did well making it that he overheard, because it gave them a great set up for Shi De getting drunk and vulnerable and desperate, and the actor really did it well. In fact I think the over all maturity this season has taken in terms of story and plot and character development is a great step up. It's truly left the realm of 'dramatic teenage love story' and has shifted into 'relationships are hard, help me' territory. Haha! Good stuff. This is shaping up to be good.
Also, Pei Shou Yi should have his own series, I'd watch a show centered around him.
Excessive fanservice? buddy they are not even at 30% of what thai CP do. all they are doing is promoting show.…
I personally don't care for the excessive outside-series fanservice of asian dramas. I like it when it's kept in the show. I sometimes cringe when I watch that stuff. If they're friends it's great, but (imo) the roles of BL series couples should stay in and end with the show. I don't know anything about the drama going on with the actors of this series atm aside from what's posted in these comments, but you say they're vocal about their personal lives? That's good. They should keep it up, hopefully it'll help the masses differentiate between fantasy and reality.
After he hit him he said, "...there's only hatred. Get out or I'll call the police and sue you for trespassing..."so,…
Shu Yi should have warned that he'd call the police (or perhaps gone ahead and actually done it) the moment Shi De walked in with all that lack of permission you emphasized. He shouldn't have done literally nothing the entire time while Shi De moseyed around his kitchen. He had so much time to call the police if he felt so desperately harassed.
The first time he slapped Shi De was indeed a result of shock and probably an influx of emotions, hence the reason I think it was valid. The second time was just unprovoked violence. And sure, it's in his personality and the context of the story, no one disputed that, so I'm not sure what exactly you're defending here, however, it still doesn't make the action of hitting Shi De completely unprovoked right.
They do seem to be heading in to muddy waters in terms of relationship dynamics though, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's more of this sort of thing to come from them both.
Shu Yi hit Shi De twice in one episode. The first one I was like...okay, he gets to have one of those (and it was well acted too), but the second one was not warranted imo. Still appreciate Shu Yi's anime expressions though. And I'm not sure what's up with the aside 'L' like character, kind of out of left field, but over all keen for episode 2. I like that they're full grown adults, too, improves the over all vibe.
Edit: Yeah, I just checked, in episode 6, s01, they admit they're cousins, so either you're saying PSY is into his cousin or?
