Here's to me not caring about the farfetched spy story and stating that this is one of Taiwan's best BLs in terms of pairing and over all completion. It's silly in places and cheesy in other places and the production is not perfect by any means, also, personally, I always think second pairings are unnecessary and two gay brothers are statistically unrealistic, but even with those things I don't like, I enjoyed every moment of Hei and Bai as a pairing and this BL is going on my recc list. It was a pleasure to watch, nothing deep, just good simple fun.
I also like the OST, so even though I don't like singing in shows, the singing didn't bother me, especially since he ran out of lyrics and that was funny LOL.
If I understand this correctly, the current different groups of fansubbers are waiting until Japan has finished airing the show before they'll make their fansubbed episodes accessible to people again?
i am watching episode 2 ...same impression as the first one ....i haven t seen "sotus" maybe that s the reason…
None of that bothers me, the oversized clothes and giant boat shoes at some point became 'fashion' in China and Thailand, I don't understand it, it looks terrible and GMMTV over does it, but that's a whole separate issue. Also their hair, people can have whatever hairstyles they want in whatever career, so long as their employers allow it (I mean this in the fictional story of the BL), all I'd hope is that in any series, the stylist chooses hairstyles that suit the actors. (unlike that disaster of a hairstyle the preview shows for Pond in Me and Thee, looks dumb af).
For me it's just that the story is not interesting for this BL. I find myself not even interested in knowing why they broke up in the first place, or particularly interested in them getting together. Hence, I will only try one more episode and if I'm still not drawn in, I will drop it.
Soooo suddenly months went by and no accidents happened to Dream or Ozone after all that 'pressure' they were facing about risk and danger....years before the next leap year day. lol This is why I said the timeline was too stretched out, this whole thing would have felt more urgent and desperate if they'd had just a week or two. Shifting a few details around about Day and Night's ages and it being their last month in uni would have also made Night being qualified for delivering a baby work just fine, with less of a drawn out timeline.
And Night seems to be gone right round the bend, he doesn't even seem to be struggling with his choice, he's just like 'Oh no, I have to kill people....okay, anyways.' I honestly can't imagine how they're gonna salvage him and Dream being together, after seeing this side of him whytf would she still even want to be with him? I suppose they might make him fail during the birthing, or make him change his mind, have an abrupt shift in conscience and then he'll go back to the squad who will welcome his temporarily psychopath-episode having ass with open arms and they'll all work together again to try and find a solution.
All six of them are supposed to be together on the day, so like, maybe they're all supposed to die to end the curse? That doesn't make sense either.
If anyone is interested in another uncensored Chinese BL airing rn, you guys can watch The Sparkle in Your Eye, 4 eps have aired already. I've added it to MDL (possibly others have too, but it's not showing up yet). It's good, another example of how in just 4 eps Cn BL's manage to do different scenarios and facets of character, emotional, contextual and relationship development so well, even in just 4 eps. Good actors too.
Interesting first ep. I've never really liked Pond in anything before, but in this first ep of this show I think he's doing a great job, engaging performance and likeable character. Good stuff.
It does seem all the top tier BL authors won't sell their story rights to be produced and sold/aired abroad, so…
I actually did the initialism wrong now that I'm looking at it, my bad. Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island was what I was referring to. And yeah, agreed, that's why I think we'll get more hits and misses, but hopefully more hits.
To me it's again a drama which seems coming from a fanfiction 😅 In what world people are acting this way. It's…
It does seem all the top tier BL authors won't sell their story rights to be produced and sold/aired abroad, so we're getting a few fanfiction quality BLs. This shit's pretty weird for one, and that omegaverse one that's coming out screams 'poorly written fanfiction'. lol But SotLI was good, and Revenged Love looks like it's gonna be good at least. So we'll get some hits and misses while Chinese creators are figuring their shit out.
There are so many consistency issues with this story, and I'm not talking about all the prequels I haven't watched, I'm talking about of the events taking place in this show. The things they do, say and what they're experiencing, so many inconsistencies. To name a few, their conveniently bottomless backpack of supplies, no proper gear for the weather and for medical emergencies as well as their collectively abysmal skills as explorers, add to that all the traps and supernatural shit trying to kill them. I'm only on episode 8 but they should have ALL been dead in episode 4 or 5, both the fivesome and the twosome. lol
There is absolutely technically nothing wrong with this BL, but just like Top Form, I find myself bored with the story already, and it's only episode 2. I will keep going until episode 3 and decide after that whether to stop.
I also like the OST, so even though I don't like singing in shows, the singing didn't bother me, especially since he ran out of lyrics and that was funny LOL.
Worth a one time watch for sure.

Edit update: Literally pouring out drinking water to start a fight, because of their backpacks with infinite supplies no doubt. lolwut
I think if I'm going to keep watching this I'm going to have ignore a lot of stupid stuff.
