Adaptations always change things though, that's par for the course. Another thing I said here early on when all the complaining first started was 'as long as an adaptation is well done, then the the changes usually aren't so bad'. That's how I feel about this BL, the story has been good and the main pairing is the original gay couple in the webtoon, the just have a het secondary couple to further the plot. The way they're telling the story is apparently different (I didn't read the webtoon) but it's being well depicted (imo) so for me, no complaints so far.

These days a lot of terms are being used in new and uh....'creative' ways, in order for people to validate their arguments. By actual definition, this show has not hetwashed anyone, no previously existing gay characters have been altered to be straight, they've just written the already existing straight characters into a more prominent role. 🙄
THANK YOU. I was thinking that too, but I don't think it's the makeup(which I find light), but the way they styled…
I personally don't think that makeup was light at all, he's a whole ass different skin shade than LT. Hair cut and colour is different too but it suits him well enough so I didn't notice. I agree that GMMTV could stand to change things up more often. I'm also a supporter of non-fixed pairings, I hope one day there'll be more of that, hence the reason I'm keen to see if Mark and Jimmy's characters are gonna have been 'a thing' in the past in this series, I'd be more than alright with a few scenes of a past fling between them and some lingering tension present day to make Sant jelly LOL >:3
I would suggest you watch further first for the answers to most of these questions, because the show itself will…
I don't think it can be love at first sight for RLZ in the novel? -It goes WAY beyond love at first sight, more like, he has love for Ling Juishi's over all existence LOL
In the novel, Lanzhu (Nanzhu in the novel) is absolutely 100% only in love with Jiushi (Quishi in the novel) from the 'start'.
Genuine question, why is everyone here so hell bent on getting a confession early on? I haven't read the manhwa,…
I said that back at episode 3 already, when the so called 'straight washed' comments started coming in, that this could have only been considered straight-washed if the MLs were swapped out for a straight couple. But for those who dislike the straight couple even existing in the show, it really won't be heard or understood unfortunately. 'Inclusivity' apparently doesn't include straight people.
I legit loved these latest two eps! Heesu is every bit as adorkable as I imagined he would be about realizing slowly and then with sudden clarity that he likes-likes Suengwon, it was well filled and written too, well acted, well paced. The gradualness of it was great, the little moments of pause each time Heesiu was hit with a new wave of 'oh shit' when he had surprising thoughts of Seungwon. This kind of relationship development is not common in a BL, where we get to see the ML figuring things out with such simple yet impactful moments.
Highlights for me:
- Heesu realizing that his 'crush' on CY was superficial at best. There is an idiom of being 'too close to someone to see the truth' which I think applies well to this situation. Heesu was so close to CY that I think his attraction and feelings felt like more than they were, and the moment the bubble burst, the moment the perceived possibility of something romantic with CY ceased to be a thing, the reality of his actual depth feelings for CY came around quick and Heesu was able to uncomplicate his feelings about it very easily. I think this was depicted well. Sometimes proximity to someone, especially for too long and with limited connections to other people, can be confusing, this was a great example of that.
- When Heesu used his anime 'angry face' on Ji Yu and she was like 'what, bro, you mad?' I lol'd, that face of his is hilarious, it's literally this emoji 😠😂😂 Also, Heesu saying she was keeping a 'fish tank' had me loling, as well as when he was so honestly happy when Ji Yu said ' Seungwon won't help me because of you'. 😂 He didn't even hide his glee 😂😂 In fact, Heesu had a lot of funny moments in these two episodes, they really did highlight why he is likeable.
- Pretty much every scene with Seungwon, this guy is just likeable overall, I love his 'calm but always open to being confused and/or charmed' demeanor when it comes to Heesu 🫠😂
- The argument in the classroom with the four MLs. I love this kind of scene, especially when it's well acted. The level of tension was fantastic, and the acting was really good, a lot of nuance in the actors faces and line delivery. The four different personalities with criss-crossing misunderstood relationships clashing in that moment was great. That was a good scene.
- JiYu and CY's small discussion in the painfully yellow cafe, it was also a good scene showing good communication and not overstepping boundaries with regards to their friendships with others and relationship with each other.
- Heesu's sisters scenes, I actually enjoyed all the scenes with his sisters, the varied relationship dynamics of them with each other and with Heesu really shines a light on some of his own confusions, concerns and even the more mature points of his thoughts about 'love' and relationships.
- The scene of them doing community service. Seungwon working his sloth-level game with the question about Heesu liking someone and the on purpose second hand touch a little there was both funny and glacially smooth 😂
- Finally, the closing scene was GREAT. I loved that, I loved how Heesu's eyes followed Seungwon out of the classroom with so much focus and concern, how he tried to leave CY and HS immediately to go after him. I like that Heesu doesn't want anymore misunderstandings but he' struggling with how to clear the way. The ending of the episode with this scene was nice too, just the right kind of tense cliffhanger.
The filming of the scenes are well done in this show. So much tension is good. I love tortured souls. hehe

Snowflake is a term that has been used for YEARS to describe overly sensitive people, just like many other far more vulgar and derogatory words I won't and don't use on here which also refer to people who are overly sensitive, Just because this particular word is being used more recently for whatever gross bs, doesn't invalidate it's use in any way or anywhere else.

I'm not included in 'ya'll' so that's not a me problem. If you're a part of snowflakes bitching constantly about the same shit, that's a you problem. My comments here are occasional and specific, mostly to encourage the neutral viewers to keep watching, which I think is necessary to balance out ALL the spam. 😂
lol at the sudden influx of huge text walls on this page, all of them mostly saying the same thing 😂
Snowflakes been keeping the snowstorm going here since episode 3, coming back every day to complain about the same thing, instead of dropping the show or keeping their angst for one big complaint when the show ends.
Not a bad episode, all the general tropes and pacing of a GMMVT series but with a likeable pair. That said, it is not now, nor will it ever be, attractive for one grown adult to brush another adult's teeth 😂
Kudos for seeing the bigger picture. Commenters keep saying stuff like 'it's not a BL' and it 'doesn't feel like…
I would also appreciate more mature actors, or at least, they allow these mid to late twenties actors to look their ages in the series. To this day TWM is one of my fave BLs because the ML's were both filled out fully grown men and also the contents of the BL wasn't glowly lit slow mo predictable storylines with heavily make up'ed actors.
I don't mind watching BL though. It's not some deep quality stuff, but it's entertaining. That's generally all for me, something I can watch fragmented or when I just wanna relax. But I do like it when something is different, like Gelboys recently, and like this. I mean, I came here straight after bingeing a western LGBTQ adaptation series and I didn't feel that shifting bar of quality SOOOOOO badly as I watched these episodes.

Facts. BLs from each country have their same repeated 'way' of doing things, and honestly, if someone is not watching for the 'fan fave' or 'eye candy' it's a bit like -seen one, seen them all-. Thai BL watchers even know that in many cases, if early on, there's no ML couple skinship or proper action (as many here seem to be gagging for) then by the middle point in the show they're getting 'a kiss' and then there's the penultimate episode 'curse' and they hang around WAITING for it, waiting for these predictable moments. Then a BL comes along where we don't know how exactly it's gonna play out because there are some variants in the mix and the result? Well....the comment section speaks for itself.
In episode one the writers set up what kind of story this would be through Hee Su's second oldest sister. She…
Kudos for seeing the bigger picture. Commenters keep saying stuff like 'it's not a BL' and it 'doesn't feel like a BL', and I think they possibly don't realize that BL as a genre doesn't have a very high bar in general. BLs are mostly shallowly written without layers and without much content variation, relying on repetitive plots and actor aesthetics to draw in viewers. And those are fun and great a lot of the time, but there's nothing wrong with the occasional BL doing things a little differently imo. Personally, I'm enjoying it.

What I can answer is:
How can he enter LJS house directly? (He let himself in -ahem- as in, technically he broke in.)
Does novel contain any info which is not shown in the drama? (the novel is similar but also MILES different and more detailed and also NOT censored.)
I don't think it can be love at first sight for RLZ in the novel? (You'd have to read the novel but I'll answer this is a spoiler below.)
