Episode #4:OK, well, first of all, the finger separating their lips in that hospital room smooch put to death…
Lol I dropped this show in the first 7 min of ep 1, you've made it way further than me. Anyway, consider giving the show Shine (uncut version) a try, best thing to come out of Thailand in years.
Yo. Just a heads up for anyone looking for another hella good 'BL' to sink their teeth into, I'd rec Shine . I went into it blindly and got knocked off my feet. So damn good.
Ps: It's lowkey more LGBTQ though, as opposed to BL, just for those who are aware of the difference.
Nah bro, this should be on main streaming services. It's the best thing to come out of Thailand in the 'BL' genre, ever. Even though it's more LGBTQ coded than BL. It was unique and very interesting but at the same time left impressions of being similar to Fellow Travelers except a Thai version and with the main pairs switching up their endings of happy versus bittersweet. And considering I never liked KinnPorsche and I had no good impression of Mile and Apo prior to randomly deciding to give this a shot, this really impressed me, they really impressed me. But the entire cast and crew did mind you. I can plainly admit I would have been missing out if I'd actually skipped this. Goes to show what a big difference a good script and director can make for actors. Aces. 10/10 from me. This show jumped into my Top 5 BLs of all time and it made my recc list.
Ep8: The person/people who wrote this really said 'no secret goes unrevealed' lol it's working though, it keeps things moving and interesting all the time.
I am liking that Saenkaew is gradually stepping up and standing up for himself more and more, when it was just Sasin pushing for it, it was starting to feel like Sasin was simping, even though I knew he wasn't, because it's very clear Saenkaew was just trying to overcome his emotional struggles and trauma he's experienced because of his pos father so he was hesitant and bit slow to come around, but he's getting stronger and bolder and it's goooood.
As for Pin, they should have told her AGES ago honestly, the blow she would have taken would have been way less, by this point it's all fucked up. lol She would be right to never talk to either of them every again imo.
Saenkaew's uncle cracks me up though. What a clown.
EP 7: Seriously, if this continues to be so good and consistent all the way through, it'll be an easy 10 according to my rating system. I'm really enjoying it, it's so well done and well paced and well acted.
GAWDDD THIS IS SO GOOD ... I'M SAYING THIS AGAIN BUT WHAT'S UP WITH OFFROAD?? 😭 HE'S SHINING DIFFERENTLY 🤌🏻😭Can…
I feel like Offroad really came into himself in terms of confidence in the break between filming. I'm actually hoping to see the same from Phuwin when Me & Thee starts airing, because 'off screen' he seems more confident than he did before, just as Offroad did in many 'off screen' vids and now he's doing so well.
Ep 4: Still all good, nice pace and story development. Personally, I'm gonna want to be seeing Karn (the guy playing Sanya) in a BL role one day soon. Here's hoping.
Ps: shout out to the HOT size (including the hand size) difference of the two MLs. Very nice visuals.
Ep 3: Nice nice, good acting, and I enjoy the underlying humor as well. So far all the characters, including the female characters are likeable too, in that they're playing their roles well. Good stuff, keen to watch further.
Ps: It's always funny in 'historical' shows how the women are basically made of glass and faint and become ill when even a little stressed, but in modern shows, bishes will throw down like their lives depend on it. hehe
It’s honestly not that hard to compliment the looks of one actor without reducing the looks of another. Just…
Don't be a butthurt 🤡 looking to be offended about something. Attraction is subjective, and he is not attractive to me. That is all. You can angst about it if you want but it is what it is.
can you give examples of the problems you listed? Like directing and logic?
It's been a few days now but I'll write what I can remember- 1: bad camera work in some scenes / odd cut scenes 2: literal chunks of audio missing or too soft (like when Chet slammed the whiskey decanter down) / speaking audio isn't always good 3: fentanyl is a very dangerous and highly addictive and it doesn't make a person horny. It makes a person very relaxed, lethargic, euphoric and free of pain as it's a downer drug (depressant). [that said, the car scene was hilarious] 4: Continuity and prop issues! The three I can remember that I laughed at; - there was absolutely NOTHING in those coffee cups, not even water, let alone coffee, very weak from the director and props team. The way they handled those empty cups that are supposed to be full of hot liquid was terrible - the product placement of that salad machine, such a long focus on Offroad's character preparing the lettuce in that machine, but then there wasn't a shred of lettuce of their plates when they were eating - the way they were sticking themselves with those needles in some scenes was pretty ridiculous 5: poor directing of scenes and character behaviours, for example; - that 'accidental fall' trope scene was bad enough in its own, but then in the beginning of ep 2 Offroad is lying fully on top of Daou which is stupid, if they 'fell' onto the couch, that was a very unnatural position to end up in - there are some dialogue and scene flow issues, weird focus on drawn out looks or pauses here and there (minor) - Than was supposed to be a top detective but his reactions and observation skills as a cop are pretty mid. I mean, how tf didn't HE notice the bright band on that drunk guy's wrist but Pheem did? Then Pheem gets out of the car after seeing the drunk guy, he disappears and comes back with a band without explanation and Than is just like "okie dokie" LOL - the fight scene in the bedroom was too much 'for show', logistically, it didn't make a lot of sense to be standing up on a bed and fighting 6: ugh, that 'met as children trope' is so ass
Um, I can't think of anything else right now, these are the ones I clearly remember.
Ep2: Good iooking band guy : I just want to know how much better than me Saenkaew is.
Saenkaew proceeds to walk in and is easily the least good looking guy in that room, possibly 3rd best looking since the singer is debatable too with that facecard.
Me: LOL Casting director dropped the ball. Oh well not the first time. ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_
another good episode but why the hell are they now hinting that they met as children like come on there's no way,…
Those are just TWO of the many production problems I was referring to in my own comment XD That 'met as children' trope was as bad as the first episodes 'accidental fall' trope, done to death and needs to GO. And yeah, fentanyl (an opioid) would not generally result in the behaviours depicted in episode 2.
Okay, so there are MANY production problems with this, everything from audio, to directing, to continuity, to just basic logic of certain things and behaviours and actions, and other minor issues but I feel like occasionally there are some really good scenes and there are moments of really good acting too, sprinkled in between. Also, I'm a fan of Daou, and he and Offroad are one of my fave Thai pairs and they're so good together, visually and chemistry wise, so despite the lows, I'll be sticking around for the HIGHS (pun intended). hehe
i’m thinking about watching this, but i have a question… can anyone tell me if there’s any difference between…
There's no difference at all, the show is unchanged in content, the only thing that happened for the re-release was they added an official intro and outro and repacked the episodes to make 78 short eps 38 longer eps.
Ps: It's lowkey more LGBTQ though, as opposed to BL, just for those who are aware of the difference.
PS: Damn, that OST was damn good too.
