Herein lies the problem. Pran doesn't push him away without any reason. He was pushing him away as a sort of self defense. He was always falling harder for Pat even after being apart from him for years.

With due respect to the buddies here, I simply don't get it why some people think that Pran doesn't put in a considerable effort in their relationship when compared to Pat.
Pran had always fought the battle alone. He had internalized , him being in the wrong for having loved Pat.
Pran knew better. He knew the consequences of being in a relationship with Pat. The feelings were there all along but he simply didn't act on them. The fear of the consequences held him back. Moreover Pat sent him mixed signals all the time. Pat never even offered him a chance to love him.
Now that Pat has done so, Pran is clearly reciprocating his feelings. He doesn't brood in his shell now. He always smiles back at Pat and his goofiness, showing how grateful he is to have him in his life.
He also stopped Pat from posting breakup the status on IG because he knew Pat would be made fun of.....
HE KNEW WHAT IT MEANS TO BE THE HEARTBROKEN ONE.
Living a dream, which he never thought he could live, he's trying his best to make this relationship work.
