Another with many couples in 1 BL dramas. At first I’m not really interested in this one, especially none of the main cast, except Earth I know of. But with a lot of YT clips, it eventually made me give in & click watch. Haha…
Story about 4 friends; Hill, Johan (Jo), Tonfah (Fah), Arthit (Thit) & their couples. 4 of them are the idols of the medicine department in their school, their good looks, rich & smart are the complete package for everyone. And each of them with their own characteristics make their groups stand out among their peers.
This drama however, only talks about 2 couples first. And this is the exact reason I lower the score...
Hill-Easter.
Easter intentionally attends a university in the north of Thailand. He hopes to find a new place to erase the memories of his ex-relationship, which ended unclearly. But in this place by surprise Easter still meets Hill, his ex-relationship. Meeting again in the university, Hill begins to chase Easter again. The purpose is to restart the relationship and erase all the misunderstandings about their previous relationship. So, how does Easter feel about all this? Because their previous encounter not only affected him, but also his family.
Jo-North
At the same time, Easter’s roommate, North, also faces chaos. One day, North was drunk and caused a quarrel, then woke up with the debt. North owed the debt to no other than the university senior, Johan. Being the richest among 4 of them, Jo never really cared about the debt North owed him. From the first we can see how Jo really likes to tease North about his debt. So the question is, why does Jo want to go through all the trouble of paying all the damage caused by drunken North…? What's their story…?
That's pretty much the story without giving any spoilers. Now what I like and don’t.
What I like:
+ I like all the chemistry between all the 2 couples. For me they quite fit the description in the books.
+ Nothing too much or over the top. In the book, some scenes are more mature than in the drama.
+ I like how they put their background story in the end, not between the storyline.
+ The ending... Quite a good intro into the 3rd story. About Tonfah (Fah) & Typhoon. Just prepare your tissue for their story. Read the book itself already cried myself out. Haha...
What I don't like:
- Some Hill-Easter stories/scenes feel rushed and don't make sense. Like when Hill asks to talk with Easter after Easter being teased with the group. The timing felt odd, like why Hill needed to do the talk at that time…
In the end I’m quite happy, even obsessed with this drama. The one that disappointed me the most, is the promise this is about 4 couples, but at the end it’s only the 1st half or 1st 2 couples of the total 4 couples that’s aired. And that disappointment led me to read their books & I’m quite obsessed too with the books & now I really can’t wait for the last 2 couples to be on my screen.
