Watched this, of course, for my Tan Jian Ci—and I’m so happy I did! This drama has a unique story about identity, self-acceptance, and learning to love who you are.

Let’s talk about the drama…

This is the story of Su Cheng Cheng (CC), a woman who struggles with low self-esteem due to her appearance. Adding to this low self-esteem is her pretty and very capable sister, Su Qing Li (QL). It's not that QL bullies or mocks her—in fact, she’s kind & always supportive of CC—but CC can’t help but feel the comparison between them.

One day, CC attends a high school reunion where she runs into her long-time crush, Tang Qi (TQ). At the reunion, CC accidentally got her face wet and was mocked by TQ. Embarrassed, she fled the scene.

Outside, CC met a woman selling flowers. The woman gave her a bracelet to thank her for the extra money for the flower. The bracelet turned out to be a special high-tech device that allowed CC to change her appearance.

At first, CC didn't know the bracelet's ability and couldn't control it when it changed her appearance and accidentally transformed into a stunningly beautiful woman. By coincidence, she meets TQ in this new form. Enchanted by her looks, TQ falls for her instantly.

Angry at being judged solely by her appearance, CC decides to teach him a lesson. When she learns to control the bracelet, she creates a new persona — Su Miao (SM) — and begins interacting with TQ under this identity. As SM, CC repeatedly rejects TQ — but when he refuses to give up on her, she starts planning how to make SM disappear forever.

Amidst all the chaos, one rainstorm day, the bracelet suddenly stopped working. When it turned on again, it turned out the system was updating. The problem was... CC was stuck in SM's body!

When the bracelet started working again, it brought many upgrades. So, together with her best friend and sister, CC began a plan to "murder" SM. When they successfully made SM disappear, TQ was heartbroken and depressed for a while. But with the support of his friends, TQ finally came to his senses and eventually recovered.

After that, CC uses the bracelet’s powers a few more times to help others, creating different identities. But each time she uses a new character, she crosses paths with TQ again. Unwittingly, she captures TQ's heart in the process, TQ begins falling for each new persona, again and again.

But just like with SM, CC eventually has to make each of these identities disappear. TQ, unaware of the truth, experiences heartbreak over and over again.

Eventually, things reach a breaking point. TQ is on the verge of emotional collapse and couldn't take any more heartbreak. That's when TQ finally saw CC in a different light. Around the same time, another person appeared who baffled TQ because that person also emitted the same characteristics as CC. Yes, as you can guess, that person was also another character created by CC.

TQ isn't a stupid man; he quickly put two and two together and planned to trick CC into confessing.

So, the question now is... What will CC do? Will she confess to her 'crime,' or will she let TQ catch her red-handed? If so, what will TQ's action be afterward?

That's pretty much the story without giving more spoilers. Now what I like and don't.

What I like:
+ A powerful story about learning to accept yourself.
+ Unique storytelling — seeing things from both CC’s and TQ’s perspectives adds depth and humor.
+ One of the best on-screen friendships: CC & Lin Yuan (LY) are true besties—full of trust, loyalty, and no secrets.
+ CC has a loving and supportive family. From her sister to her parents, they were all very supportive and later became her emotional backbone when she needed them most.
+ A different approach to relationships from other Asian dramas, especially the relationship between LY and Gu Yu (GY). I'm genuinely happy that their relationship worked out in the end.
+ It's hilariously funny how almost every time CC got stuck in character mode while the bracelet was updating, she'd always run into TQ.
+ The moment of confession—when each family member opens up and admits their own part in the things that contributed to CC’s low self-esteem.
+ Tan Jian Ci was amazing! 😍

What I don't too like:
- Toward the end, the focus shifted a bit too much onto the main couple’s relationship. I was curious about GY’s mother’s reaction to LY & GY’s big relationship decision—but the story just glossed over it, leaving things vague.

Overall this is a truly unique drama that makes you wonder what you would do if you had access to such a magical bracelet. Beyond the fantasy element, it’s a heartfelt story about self-worth, identity, and learning to love yourself for who you are.

If you’re looking for something different from typical romantic dramas, this one is definitely worth watching!
