Watch this for my alphabet challenge. And I'm glad I've watched this.
Story about Seon Eun Woo (EW) who was dumped by her long time boyfriend, Baek Seung Gyu (SG). And she can’t get over her feelings for him and wants him back.
Just as she’s stuck in her heartbreak, her childhood friend Yoon Jae Won (JW) suddenly reappears in her life. JW returns to Korea to take over the café of his old crush and friend, Kim Hye Won (HW), while she handles her business abroad.
On the very day JW reunites with EW, the café catches fire. Devastated and overwhelmed, JW ends up getting drunk with EW. The next morning, EW wakes up to realize she’s somehow offered JW a place to stay at her home—marking the beginning of their unexpected cohabitation.
During their time together, EW tells JW about a superstition known as the Curse of Wednesday at 3:30 PM. According to legend, it’s the worst time of the week for women—when tiredness and stress peak, making them feel and look a year older. For EW, the curse feels painfully real, as her breakup with SG also happened precisely at 3:30 PM on a Wednesday.
To thank EW for letting him stay, JW comes up with a plan to help her win SG back. They call it the Wednesday 3:30 PM Project. JW will “date” EW every Wednesday at 3:30 PM and post their outings on social media—hoping to make SG jealous and want her back.
But over time, something unexpected happens. EW starts looking forward to their dates more and more—not for the sake of getting SG’s attention, but because she genuinely enjoys spending time with JW. She begins to forget her original goal entirely.
As the weeks go by, the feelings between JW and EW begin to change. Their bond evolves beyond childhood friendship. Just as their new routine starts to feel like a sweet ritual, SG begins to show signs of jealousy. And to complicate things further, JW’s crush, HW, also returns—reigniting JW’s past feelings.
So what will happen next? Will they go back to their former loves? Or will they take a leap and turn their childhood friendship into something more?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ The adorable, natural friendship between JW and EW. From the beginning, it’s clear how well they fit together. They understand each other on a deep level—without needing to spell things out.
What I don’t like:
- How JW & EW become stupid people when it’s about their feelings.
- The concept that worker can just excuse themselves everyweek at Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
- I kinda pissed actually when JW finds out SG is a jerk but chooses not to tell EW. Come on—She's his friend first above all. You should tell your friend if you know their partner is a b*st*rd.
Overall this is a really good short drama to watch.
