My Aug 2025 recommendation

Watch this for my Aug 2025 recommendations challenge by π’–π’π’ƒπ’†π’π’Šπ’†π’ƒπ’–π’ƒπ’ƒπ’π’†.

This one of the times I don’t remember is this from my PTW list or not. Haha… But either way, I’m really glad I watched it. Sometimes, simplicity truly is the best approach.

Let’s dive into the drama…

The story follows Cha Seok Jin (SJ) and Kang Kyung Joo (KJ) β€” two academic rivals, with KJ always ranked first and SJ stuck in second place. SJ has been holding a grudge for a while, frustrated that he can never seem to beat KJ.
This semester, SJ thinks things will finally be different. He heard that KJ would be a student exchange student abroad, leaving him to claim the top spot. To his surprise, when the semester begins, he still sees her on campus.

Later that day, SJ joins a drinking party with his friends and some new students. During the party, his friend dares him to become the top student β€” whether KJ is around or not. If he fails, he has to wear an embarrassing T-shirt and perform a tap dance in front of the whole campus.

The next day, SJ regrets accepting the challenge and tries to back outβ€”but his friends won’t let him. So he starts thinking: how can he actually win? He can’t just make KJ too exhausted to studyβ€”she’s already juggling part-time work and still managing to stay at the top.

Following his friends' crazy suggestion, SJ comes up with a plan: make KJ fall in love and get into a relationship so her grades will suffer. So, he makes a "fake" love confession to KJ. To his surprise, KJ sees right through his actions and decides to take the challenge herself by accepting his confession.

And just like that, their β€œfake” relationship begins. But as they spend more time together, what started out as a calculated move begins to grow into something real. They slowly begin to understand each other beyond the rivalry and academics.

Now the questions are:
> Will KJ’s grades actually suffer because of the relationship?
> Can their β€˜fake’ relationship turn into something real?
> And what will become of their rivalry?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler.

Overall, this is a short film centered around a simple but powerful idea: you’ll never truly understand a person until you take the time to get to know them. And for just 60 minutes, it’s absolutely worth your time.
