UGH!!!! NO NO NO!!! WHY...????!
Seeing someone posted this on the feeds, I got intrigued… and decided to watch it.
The story follows Shen Meng (SM) and Chen Jia Wen (JW), who break up on 520 (May 20th), known as Chinese Valentine’s Day. However, something unexpected happens. The next morning, when they wake up, only to realize it’s the same day again.
Confused, they reach out to one of their friends, Zhao Ming Xi, who explains that they are trapped in a time loop and if they want to break free, they’ll need to figure out why—and how.
At first, they didn't believe it. They try ignoring it. Fighting it. But no matter what they do, the day resets. Then, they notice something unusual—the projector in their room. Which usually plays one of the promises they made during their relationship, suddenly changes after they “complete” one of those promises.
With that discovery, they play by the rules and do their best to fulfill each promise. One by one, the projector made them revisit the promises they made throughout their relationship
1st. They promise to keep each other alive at the end of the world.
2nd. They promise to buy each other something once they can afford it.
3rd. JW once said he wanted to put SM in his pocket so he could take her everywhere—so they held hands for 24 hours straight.
4th. They used to underestimate each other’s jobs—so this time, they swap identities and step into each other’s roles, truly experiencing what the other goes through.
5th. When one of them suddenly develops a terminal illness, they vow to do everything to save each other—even if it means kissing an ex to help the other.
6th. SM once said she’d only feel heart-fluttering for JW—not any other man. Can that still be true?
7th. The alternative universe.
The seventh time is entirely different. SM and JW wake up before they ever start dating. They do cross paths again—but this time, they decided to not become a couple. Instead, armed with the knowledge of the future, they reshaped their own future.
But is this truly the end?
Will they escape the loop for good, or could it begin all over again?
In the end, this drama is not just about completing tasks to break a time loop like many similar stories. The loop becomes a lesson — teaching SM and JW about love, about each other, and about the importance of the promises that they once gave each other.
That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers. Overall I quite like this short drama. Included in one of my top titles for short drama, if not only for one major flaw…

SPOILER ALERT!!!

It's unfinished story… UGH!!! No, it's not open ending. It's unfinished story!!! And i really hate how they finished this short drama…
