I agree with all of you in regards to Zhao Lusi. I was worried about the age difference but the 2 leads are keeping me entertained and there is no ick factor with them being paired up. They have great chemistry.

I don’t think her father is involved either. I agree with about the prince. I’m also very suspicious of Juan’s stepmother.

I broke out smiling & laughing so hard after realizing what the names on the packages meant. Loving the Heavenly Sword Easter egg.

Episode 5

So much happened. Finally, first kiss! didn’t want to see Qiu Chi cry but I also didn’t want him to hurt Juan’s feelings either. Finally, Juan knows her father is the suspect in the attempted murder of QC.

Looking forward to the next episode to see how Juan’s expulsion is resolved. Also, I hope QC comes to his senses and apologizes to Juan. I do not want this drama to turn into a melodrama (*shakes fist at The Heiress).

Ep. 19

I know most of you are here for Zhao Lusi but I am here for Lin Yu Shen. Go check him out in “Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre.” He stole the whole drama in his role as Yang Xiao.

Who am I kidding? It’s my day off. Will watch with bad subs then re-watch again with good subs. ^-^

Looks like ep. 19 is out. I’ll wait later in the week for the Eng subs from Kukan.

I’m in the U.S., and I don’t see it on there. That’s ok because I have the Tencent app & a VIP subscriber.

It’s unfortunate that this on the MGTV platform. That means bad Eng. subs on the app & long wait for Eng. subs on the MGTV YT channel. I’m still gonna watch though!

I loved the re-appearance of Wang Xia Qing and the emperor in this episode. I’ve re-watched the emperor’s scene a few times. From the name on the letter, to the emperor grabbing the letter, to him saying that the request is simple and easily granted....it’s just so darn cute,

It’s a sign of how much I love the drama that I haven’t skipped any scenes. If everything holds up well in the second half, this could be my favorite drama of the year (that or Flower of Evil).

Based on the scenes in the closing credits song, I am cautiously optimistic that it will end in a satisfactory happy ending. Next week begins the second half of the drama, so I know the conflict and angst will rise. Looking forward to seeing how Qiu Chi, Juan, & their friends overcome the adversity.
Also, I’m waiting for the couple’s acknowledgement of their love and their first kiss!
