I was thinking about why he decided to stay silent for a whole month. From the conversation they had after the glaring incident in the meeting, I think it might be he assumed a possibility she knew she was a mistress and should figure it out herself? But after eavesdropping the conversation he knew she is actually clueless and decided to intervene. Anyway, that time skip was too rushed, in my opinion. I wanted to see more of his inner conflict.
